I find the H and K Mavericks useful for Force Correlate mode, then you can launch them (at stationairy) targets at ranges up to 14 NM depending on altitude and speed even with the A10. It is unrealistic, but they hit their marker all the time.

Thanks for all the info guys. I think i will try the new mobo with overclock functions and upgrade to 16gb RAM (this socket 1155 only supports DDR3 sadly) for now. If that is a dissapointment then ill sell all the parts and buy a new pc. I just hate buying new parts that lose value so fast xD

I can buy a z77 Asrock 1155 socket Mobo and 16 gb DDR3 RAM for around 150 euro (170 dollar). Would the overclocked 3570K compete with the Ryzen? And is there a big difference between DDR3 and 4? Thanks for the replies

The problem with my mobo is that I can 't overclock on it. Only turboboost i believe at 3.6 GHz. And i have dcs installed on a 250GB SSD, with 100gb of free space. But I dont need every setting at high, as long as of doesnt stutter or crashes this much. Is the ryzen5 2600 easy to overclock on that setup and does it perform good with DCS?

Hi, i'm thinking about upgrading my pc for DCS only. The last few weeks i'm getting very frustrated because of the game crashes and stuttering. I already tuned down the graphics but it is not enough. Sometimes it runs great and sometimes it is impossible to even join a mp game. I can buy used pc parts (good condition) and my question is if it is worth it to upgrade this POS or to buy a complete new pc. My pc: Asrock (don't know exactly, it is a shitty one) I5 3570K 8gb DDR3 Ram GTX 980 Hydrocopper (watercooled) 750W PSU 1080p 60hz 27inch Monitor I can buy this set for around 270 euro's (around 300 dollar): AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Gigabyte AB350 Gaming 3 16GB DDR4 2400MHZ If this set is worth it, I will use my SSD's and GPU for now and upgrade them in the future. I never changed the fuse settings before either, but i saw my mk82 hit the ground without exploding. So i changed the fuse setting to nose fuse and then they worked. You can change the settings on the left side of the DDI when you have the 82 selected. (Fuze and Mfuze iirc)

I just used the mk82 after the update and it worked just fine like always. I used it with the Hornet but i dont think that would make a difference. The only thing i noticed that you have to set the fuse settings correct, otherwise the bomb wouldnt explode

Does anyone know how the IFF will look in the Hornet? Is it something like the Su27 in means that you have different symbols on the radar page? I have never seen any picture/video of this.

Hi, I noticed that the DSMS page on the A10C always shows that the Combat Mix ammo type is loaded. Even when I request to change to HEI, it will always read Combat Mix after loading the DSMS Page. The Combat Mix gun pipper with the 2 dots is also showing. Do you guys also have this issue?

Yes i noticed that the D mavericks have around 6 miles range at low altitude, thats why i did this test. Now i know that i can pop.up with an H maverick at 8 nm and it will hit its target. I also read some time ago that the maximum range with Force correlate is 12 nm. I wonder what the max range is with the F18C at 40k feet:D

I searched the forum, but i couldn't find a test like this. I've been testing the Force Correlate on the Maverick H and K. Maybe these test results are handy for anyone using this (not really realistic?) mode. I launched the Mavericks from different altitudes to test what the range is in Force Correlate mode. The speed i was going was around 220 knots, only at 25k feet i was going 200 knots. All the mavericks were aimed at a BTR80, and all were direct hits. Maybe you can expand the range a litte more by going faster. At 1.000 feet above the sea: The max range was 8,0 NM At 5.000 feet above the sea: The max range was 9,0 NM At 10.000 feet above the sea: The max range was 10.5 NM At 15.000 feet above the sea: The max range was 12.0 NM At 20.000 feet above the sea: The max range was 12.5 NM At 25.000 feet above the sea: The max range was a whopping 14 NM The H and K variants had the same max range. I don't believe this is possible in real life, but as long it is in the sim i will use it:pilotfly:

If you are going to join a Multiplayer server you can see wich planes are available in the discription. Some servers only use the WWII era planes and some servers use almost every plane, so you can check it out before you join the server.

I´ve seen this very interesting video of an A10 attacking a building in Afghanistan. After seeing a lot of video´s about the A10, this one has the best footage (imo) of the Hud and radio comms. Maybe a little worn out TMS UP Hotas button? I had this problem with my old HOTAS, but it was on the CMS button. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didnt :doh:

A fully modelled SU-34 or SU-24 would be nice :D Or an updated Su-25SM3, but i don't think we'll ever fly those planes in DCS

That makes sense, i never found a picture or a video where the multiple JDAM's where mounted. To bad it isnt possible to load 4 jdams and 2 mavericks.

Hello, Since yesterday i decided to test the mission editor for the first time after 2 years:music_whistling:. I wanted to see the what kind of loadouts where possible on the F18C. I noticed that you couldn't put 2 Jdams (gbu 38 ) on 1 pylon. But with the mk82 it isn´t a problem. When i fly the A10C, i usually load 4 Jdams, because you can take out 4 targets in 1 pass if they are somewhat close together. Is this going to be updated when the JDAM´s are finally released on the F18, or is it just not possible just like with the A10C? I never understood why it isn't possible to mount multiple JDAMS on 1 pylon. Greetings

Hello, my name is Nick and I am fairly new to pc gaming. I always used a console before. I have an old pc that i am using for DCS 1.5 / 2.1 (my first PC 'game' that i seriously play). Most of the setting are on medium with HDR and all that kind of stuff are off. I also use TrackIR 5 and a HOTAS T flight 4. When i'm at an airfield the FPS go from 55 to 35 with sometimes stuttering. When flying in the desert the FPS are sometimes 100+ (?) with framedrops to around 45 FPS. Going from a TV to a 1080p monitor already improved the experience alot:) When playing singleplayer it runs better than in MP. (almost no stuttering and some settings can be put on high) My pc specs are: AsrockH81M - DGS R2.0 I5 2400 8 GB RAM R9 285 MSI GPU I know that it is an outdated system, but is this system worth an 'upgrade' if I buy a GTX 970/1060? Or a complete new pc? :lol: Excuse my bad English, Nick
