Cannot be compared with the F-5E. There is no seeker reticle in F1. Here you use the HUD as a reference. Take a look at Chuck's guide, Chapter 2.1.2 - AIM-9JULY Sidewinder IR Missile (No Radar) paragraphs 12 & 13. In addition, the F-5E does not have an Aim-9L as standard.
