steam is great when you think about it ..... 1. Fancy trying a module out ? buy it on steam try it for less than 2 hours 2. request refund 3. get refund 4. go and then buy it off ED directly if you like it 5. dont like it got your money back anyway it is a win win!

I tried 2500K @4.4Ghz + 16G RAM + 1080TI +SSD with occulus, frame rates in DCS not good enough for me

Admin DOS window sfc /scannow will take 10 minutes if that comes back OK, your windows install is ok and there is no point re-installing windows

from a long time looking at PC's and fault finding them this is what i do in order 1. Get memtest iso burn to USB or cd - run it for 12 hours 2. Intelburn test run for at least 10 runs (use core temp to monitor cpu temp at same time) 3. OCCT run for 12 hours 4. Admin DOS prompt in windows (sfc /scannow) - this checks core windows files makes sure they are ok 5. Run 3Dmark for a few runs 6. Run furmark for an hour The idea is to test a component and if it passes then you can normally rule it out being the cause

Electronics marked as ESD sensitive can be damaged pretty easily After all why would a manufacturer spend thousands per year protecting their products from it? I usually take a lot of precautions when dealing with electronics, it might not explode infront of you but it can cause latent damage that may result in failure later on I use a strap and also a modified cable to plug pc into wall (only earth connected - not live or neutral) when I am working inside it

do you have a buddy that lives near you, who would be willing to let you try it in his PC ?

Have you tried running your 1080TI in another PC

it is a pity that weather does not factor into this as well eg if fog active maybe switch the lights on ?

Though, do you not think it would be easier if poly just made all variants have NVG, that way when we update DCS we dont have to change files ?

Yes we all have been waiting a while on DCS dedicated server ... since black shark 1 was released ... 9 years ago ? It is a pity ED are not doing this

+1 I have also noticed this since last patch both players selecting slots and planes being destroyed is making this happen

+1 ..... also is it possible to have runway lights on in day time IF it is fog is enabled ?
