Hi Gizzy! Your SteamVR settings got me confused. My Percentage values are quit different to yours, whereas I also have the same HP-Reverb here. If set to 100% I get about 25XX x 25XX resolution. To get about 2160 I have to set it down to about 72%. Have you changed something in DCS or the WMR settings? I got those values with an old version of Windows, but with the current version, those values have changed a few month ago. Regards Skyfire

This is my entry to the skin contest. It's also a semi fictional variant. The livery is based on some images I came across on the internet when searching for some nice livery. According to this picture and some infos gathered here http://luftwaffeprofiles.blogspot.com/2014/09/focke-wulf-190-a6-2jg-1-oesau-black-3.html the skin was used by the 2./JG 1 in the Netherlands on their Focke Wulf 190 A6's. Skin can be downloaded here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=19BC2_zBbrp2uhEqURk0JDrQ8SS9RYAjP The variant provided has double digit bort numbers.

Only VR Users Could Appreciate this Feature - wow!
PhilSkyfire replied to DerekSpeare's topic in Virtual Reality
Started a thread in the Viper section a while ago. It's not just VR related. It would be nice in any case. It adds so much more! https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=241629 -
VRK - a virtual reality enabled kneeboard with touch and ink support
PhilSkyfire replied to AMVI_Rider's topic in DCS Modding
I am also very happy with the tool and the support from AMVI_Rider! As Nagilem stated, it's great fun to use :-) -
I'm with you. As far as I'm aware, there is not option for this. The blue cross is some interactor in the 3D scene. The white dot it the mouse representation on any 2D screen that is displayed in VR (like Options, Radio, etc). For radios it's somehow feasible, you just have to move the mouse to the top right, where it will eventually appear. More annoying is the acknowledgment window when someone wants to join your flight on the backseat. It takes me hours to find the mouse in this case

VRK - a virtual reality enabled kneeboard with touch and ink support

Ha! - Should be in the mail by tomorrow. I'd be happy if I could help. So if you need assistance in testing, just let me know. -
VRK - a virtual reality enabled kneeboard with touch and ink support
PhilSkyfire replied to AMVI_Rider's topic in DCS Modding
Wow...thanks :-) This means, the tab input is used directly in your app, instead of being a mouse emulation? So no interference with the DCS mouse grab? -
I don't know, if there was a fix. At last there was a tool given by ED that enabled the users to modify the projection settings. A config file was created which was used on startup. To reset the behavior, you just have to delete the config. It would be be great if we would get the tool now for any SteamVR headset, so we can try if this helps a bit.

At least in the SteamVR Beta you can stop this switching to the grid. There is an option in the Developer section. It has to be turned ON (checked).
-
I hope so. The tool looks pretty generic, but is restricted to the Samsung Odyssey+. You can totally wreck your settings with this, so from support point of view I wouldn't offer this in general ;-) Just to make it clear, the problem is not restricted to fpsVR. DCS does the rendering skewed, any overlay just makes it apparent. It just isn't that visible when looking at DCS alone but nevertheless fatigues your eyes.

[Standalone] DCS starting in Oculus instead of SteamVR mode
PhilSkyfire replied to HoneyBadger's topic in VR Bugs
I replaced my Rift with the Reverb. I have to start SteamVR and the WMR before starting DCS. Oculus Software still comes up, but DCS starts into my Reverb. And the Oculus is disconnected currently. -
Bugger - so the problem might really be bigger and indeed SteamVR and not WMR related! Thanks for the kudos RedX :-). I wonder, if the problem really only occurs on a few headsets, or if some people just can filter this out. In the Odyssey+ thread concerning this issue, at least a tool was released to play with the projection settings. Would be great, if it would be released for any SteamVR headset, not only the O+.

Yes, as mentioned in my first post. I didn't find any solution in the thread. The Visualizer.dll might help, if it would work for the Reverb. Wasn't able to get it to run in the current OpenBeta Sure: Some examples for proper alignment. Dependent on the eye-focus, the overlay or the DCS image are aligned. Due to the way the eye work, the movement of the out-of-focus plane should be only horizontal. In the first image the focus is on the DCS part, in the second image the focus is on the overlay. In these next cases, the DCS images are out of plane skewed to each other. Again in the first image the focus is on the DCS part, in the second image the focus is on the overlay. Hope that helps to show the problem. It's feasible to align this with the eyes, but it causes real strain. The face on the left shows how the eyes have to move to handle this alignment. It's not natural to move one eye up, and in parallel the other one down to focus on something. Somehow this only happens in DCS. No other SteamVR dependent software I tested.

Hi! vrcmd gave me the following output The different values for the projection might be the problem? I'm just curious ;-) Why does this pose a problem in DCS but not in any other software? Regards, Huzzle

Hi! This is somehow a follow up to https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=228586. I have a HP-Reverb for about 3 days now. A new one without the blanking out issues. Somehow DCS shows the same misaligned eye problem as it was in the Samsung Odyssey+. It seems, as if the left and right eyes are not aligned properly. The problem only occurs in DCS, any other VR application is working properly. It's most apparent, when an overlay like fpsVR is used or when a Windows related info is display on the screen (like the discord popups). It's nearly impossible to focus on them. Unfortunately I cannot get the debug tool which Alex O'kean provided here to run. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3782971&postcount=53 (or the later posted fixed version) Any suggestions, what I can try? Switching back an forth the HMD Hertz did not help. Software IPD settings also showed no changes. Thanks in Advance!

Same here! Received mine yesterday (13.08.). Also the non-pro version. So far it's quite impressive. Had the chance to test it for about 2-3h. Non of the mentioned problems thus far. Hopefully it's fixed now :)
-
It would help, if the control and event would be added (in some type of "bug", oder easter egg), so that some infernal modder can add the rest. Would bring a lot of fun!
-
Hi imacken! Concerning the flashing to black - steam somehow switches back to the "grid" when the application shows no activity. Do you experienced this? It can be turned of in the Steam VR settings. Can you try those options, if it helps? I was just able to verify this with my Rift in IL-2 and it didn't show this flashing behavior anymore. Might be only available in the beta build of Steam VR, but I'm not sure with this. Regards, Huzzle

DCS: de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito FB Mk VI Discussion
PhilSkyfire replied to msalama's topic in DCS: Mosquito FB VI
Uhhh....hngg....I would chose differently...:music_whistling: -
Would be great! Which website do you refer to? HP-Netherlands? Let's see, when we get an update on the german outlet.

Watched the nice introductory video for the F-16C - I got the impression, that the pilot's head movement will be similar to most of ED's other aircraft: quite static and only a rotation for yaw is shown for the pilot. A great example about what is possible, is the F-14B's Iceman and Jester. The fidelity of the head movement is just amazing and adds so much more to multiplayer sessions, when e.g. standing on the carrier beside another aircraft, or even in cockpit when talking to your buddy in front or behind you. Please ED - do something like this!!! Looking forward to the release of the F-16C :pilotfly:

I don't saw the price you're refering - but have you added two Lighthouses in your calculation? The price is only for one lighthouse in germany. So summed up we end up with ~80€ more here.
