Yes sir. When complete. Have the wing markings, and a few other small details left, and the spec file to make. Hopefully today. But this coming week for sure.

Made some progress last night.

All of my RL civilian flying with electric trim, it's been instant. Not sure why there would ever be a delayed response unless there was a problem with the mechanism. Now, response to trim is a different story. But that has more to do with the stability (or instability) characteristics of the aircraft in question and if FBW FCS is part of the equation.

What you are describing sounds like you need to tune your axis curves. Because you're (likely) using a desktop joystick, the throw of the sick is much smaller than your RL counter part. Adjusting your axis curves will result in less erratic input movement at control surface deflection. Considering, your joystick probably has around ~2.5 inches of travel (Radius), that's not much to convert into direct control surface manipulation. Since center is no travel, and~2.5 inches is full control surface deflection, it's not surprising you're having a hard time controlling the finesse of your inputs. Once I tuned mine, it made flying much more realistic and enjoyable.

Just a question for you SkateZilla, Before I start creating a bunch of metal liveries for the Sabre, will actual PBR be implemented in v2.5? I'd rather only have to convert 3, when the time comes.
-
Yes, you are most definitely correct! This is very early WIP. Just to let DonJosh know that I'm actually working on it. The painted areas will not look like metal in the final version :-). I will not create the Spec file until they painted areas are complete...So expect the paint to look like paint in the final rendition. :-)

I've started this one for you DonJosh, very early WIP.

The Standard Aluminum Texture set is now available. DOWNLOAD HERE. Thank you for the interest. Enjoy!

Yes, I will do this one: Followed by this one:

Thanks DonJosh. What did you have in mind?

Here's a few more prior to release. I've toned down the Reflection and Specular a bit more in areas, especially the Gun ports and engine exhaust shroud. Hopefully it's achieving the oxidization look...

I've also started another thread in the location you suggested -- Ok, I've dialed the dirt way back, and added a little more muzzle flash/heat scorching to the gun ports. Reflection is dialed back. There is more dirt from the New Aluminum paint, but less than seen above. Per ART-J's comments in another thread.

A little more like a used line aircraft operating from steel runways with mud and dirt around; rather than the just arrived look. Oh, haha! That's not a final rendition. I just slapped on the dirt as a way to show that I'm working on it for you . And then, yes I flew it through a coal mine shaft. Lol. I'm glad you like the look of the New AL version! I'm still a WIP as a painter in DCS but it's coming along!

Wanted to start a new thread since I'm going to be uploading a fix. I don't want anyone to miss it, if they're interested. I'll post the link when ready. This fix is for the "NewAlum" Livery only. This is not applicable to the bare metal scheme. I am working on a new Spec file for the "StdAlum" version of this livery to be better at all angles. Below are images showing multiple lighting angles. Thank you for the interest. Here's the L I N K

Thank you ART-J! Any way we can get this thread moved to that forum? I'm such a noob here.... Lol.

You're very welcome! @DonJosh,. That screen is amazing!

Thanks DonJosh. Much appreciated! Hope you enjoy it and please look for the fix today around 1800 PST.

If that's the "StdAlum" paint then yes. I would agree...however I don't agree with regards to more reflective "NewAlum". I will updated the Spec file for the StdAlum skin to be better in all aspects at the same time that I upload the fix with the wing stripes! Today or tomorrow after work as time allows. I've already got the fix complete, but ran out of time to put it all together before bed last night. I've learned a little more about the spec file since doing the StdAlum, skin. forgive me, coming from P3D/FSX, it's totally different, so I'm just getting into the zone here. Thanks.

:doh:I just realized that I forgot to save the .DDS files with the wing stripes! HAHA...so much for first impressions! LOL. I'll get that updated and reuploaded as soon as time allows!:pilotfly:
