  1. Ok, so sounds like what you said and what the link you shared shared said is what I did. So that means the Saber and the mirage are using PBR in v2.2+. So all things being equal, I could probably help you fix your issue. As far as know the SDK is closed and so there's no official guide to painting. However I used War Thunders SDK for PBR. To me, it sounds like a combo of issues. If you've done these than forgive my ignorance. 1. Remove the AO (Shadow) layer from the Albedo texture (old diffuse). 2. You need to ensure the colors you are using Sheree to the standard color palette which we're going to assume that they do, and ensure that their brightness is set for the type of material each part of you r paint is. So blue, would be blue paint over aluminum surface. Consult the War Thunder SDK, but there is a brightness value threshold that will correspond to "paint". 3. Next you need to edit the RGB channels appropriately for the type of surface appearance you want. That guide you posted is what I did, although I didn't use that guide!
  2. That link was extremely helpful! So I understand what does what but, I'm not clear on what models use roughmets? Dies all of DCSv2.2 use Roughmets? If so then I can probably help you as I think I understand the problem. If it's not... Then I'm more confused about what PBR is...Does the F-86 for v2.2 use Roughmets? I thought it did. I had to build my custom Spec file from the kit to use the RGB channels as described in that link to make the aircraft appear like aluminum or like a painted aluminum surface. The only thing that I'm confused with is SPEC+JSON. Which I've never heard of... Is that what pre-1.5.8 used?
  3. I'm pretty new at the DCS repaint scene, but, from what I've read and from talking to the Belsimtek devs I've been able to harness the power if the spec file. Are you still ha in an issue? If so PM me. No, it's not about taking your paint and subdividing it into RGB channels. I assume you're referring to the square shadow at rear fuse and the square shadow at wing root?
  4. Next one converted...
  5. I use CC 2018 and the NVIDIA plugin works flawlessly.
  6. Thanks. I'm still pretty new around these parts so I appreciate the insight.
  7. Is that a texture controlled effect or is it part of the model? Looks awesome!
  8. I'm using the actual paint kit for the mesh currently. It just wasn't made for the DCS version. It's for P3D. So things like the pilot and helmet are not the same. But the exterior is 100% identical. I had to make my own SPEC file PSD as well. No biggy.
  9. Great screenshot Josh!
  10. Ah! That was a silly mistake! Wilco!
  11. UPLOADED. DOWNLOAD HERE.
  12. I was already planning on doing the bottom one!
  13. It was always like that on the Jabara version. I did it so that you could play in MP without using the same Serial numbers. The historical tail number for Jabara's F-86A is FU-257.
  14. Thanks man. Yes, I've been fiddling with the glass spec, but to no avail. Perhaps you're right; a lighter black might ease the glaring contrast with the bright white.
  15. Thank you gentlemen. I will finish this one up as soon as I can.
  16. Merci bien RafaleTiger! C'est ce pass de plusieurs annees que j'ecris en Francais! Depuis l'ecole secondaire au Canada. J'espere que j'ai pas oublier trops! (Je n'utiliser pas le traduction Google).
  17. Back to JA-113 I'm still not clear on how to remove the White border around the glass? I've figured out the alignment for the tail flash flags. See pic 2, top flag. Other than alignment and changing the helmet, I'm going to refine the drop tanks slightly... Does anyone have any patches for this unit they want the pilot to wear?
  18. Alternative once your loaded in the mission u can press LALT+' to bring up the load out menu to bypass the comm menu.
  19. The official download had not posted in the user files yet? It shows as in my files, and the direct link I posted above works. Must be a holiday! Lol.
  20. RELEASED! DOWNLOAD HERE.
  21. Thank you.
  22. Available HERE FOR DOWNLOAD Enjoy!
  23. Ok, well I got the answer from Metal 2 mesh today as they are still working this one for RAZBAM I guess. There's going to be an MLU for the M2KC and as part of that the paint kit will be released along with. I guess for those of you who already knew this, old news. To me and others who did not, good info.
  24. Just a quick question. Did Razbam ever release an official Paint kit for the Mirage 2000? I'm currently using the Metal2Mesh Paint kit, which is the identical map to this bird and simply converting them all to the new format. I've created a Spec file Paint kit as well. But there are things missing. Such as the New Pilot Template doesn't match the FSX/P3D version. Also, the countermeasures additions to the Pylons, does anyone know where those are located. Maybe I've seen them and not recognized what or where they currently are. thanks for the help!
  25. I know there's one out there already, but this is my take on it. Converted from P3Dv3 with new SPEC files for DCS.
