Mig-23 is a bad dogfighter. Source : At 1h03min 30 sec. (but watch the whole video, it's very interesting about the whole program) So F-14 and F-5 will probably eat it in a turn fight. It might get interesting once we have a F-4 though.

Nothing is out in the open about the Meteor missile. It's barely getting into service. EuroGmbh probably told True Grit to create a missile with the usual wikipedia info like burn time, range and speed; then add a seeker that's close to the in-game aim-120 with a few tweaked value and boom, you got a Meteor with a nice skin.:D

Hi, I read on these forums that a F-15E pilot can do everything from the front seat and the WSO is only here for better SA and mitigate task saturation. (unlike the F-14 or Tornado with 2 specific cockpits for example) My first post was published with that assumption in mind. I probably should have mentioned it. The only "smart" business decision i could see is for someone to release the C first and the same company or another one to release the E a couple years later. I could see myself buying both in that case. If the E comes first, I'd buy it (if in a decent state of course) but wouldnt buy an upcoming C model unless yeeeaaaaarrrsssss later and probably not until it's with an interesting discount. Hi guys, We know that Razbam is working on the F15E with an undefined release date. Some guys are also speculating about the next ED jet being a full fidelity F-15C. I'm no expert about the eagle family but it looks like the E can use every weapon the C can. So, except for a tiny little extra drag created by the conformal tank, I cant see how an E wouldnt be the best version to have in DCS if we had to choose. What can a C do that a Strike Eagle can't ? Other consideration : when Razbam releases its Strike Eagle, I dont see another 3rd party taking on the C project because sales will have been sucked dry by the earlier release of the E. I doubt people will buy a second module at full price that's so similar and less versatile than the one they already have in the hangar (queue the 10 die-hard f15c fans "a C eagle would be instabuy for me").

I read the NATOPS launch bar section, here is the quote ; "At the completion of the catapult stroke, launch bar/catapult separation occurs and the return springs cause launch bar retraction which allows the landing gear to be retracted. If the launch bar fails to retract after the aircraft is launched, the red L BAR warning light comes on and the nosewheel does not retract" I cant find a good video on youtube where I saw the launch bar springing back up right after it left the shuttle but it seems to be the case. Maybe I should post that in the bug section ?

In the early 80s, UK, Germany, Spain, Italy and France decided to develop a new fighter. Studies began but ultimately disagreements appeared between France and the other 4 so they left the party and developped their own plane (Rafale not rafael). My guess is that they all had already agreed on the delta wing + canards configuration so they look kinda similar.

MVSGAS, at 1min15, what are the dots and line on the canopy ? Explosives to weaken it during ejection ? I thought the F-16 jettisoned the whole canopy. TIA

The probe doesn't retract in flight like a F-18 would. It has to be unbolted by maintenance crew if they want it off. I typed "greek Mirage 2000" in google and qwant, just scroll down a couple notch and you find them. Works with Indian, egyptian and peruvian M2000 too. I'll let you try the others :thumbup: Not really a unicorn picture. It sure is low on the to do list but it's not like it requires 3 months of 3D modelling and coding either ... Hell, I'd be fine with only 3D modelling and an invisible refueling capability when you get close to the refueling basket.

Hello guys I just read an update in the jf-17 forum where the developper talks about the upcoming jf-17 AAR probe. It would be something the player can mount/dismount via the ground crew menu. Can we have that feature for the M2000 too please ? I like the look of greek M2000 without it. TIA Razbam
