I have 2 x MSAA i'll check it again. Redeye I"ll check that although i'm running at 45 fps Ive got it running smooth and i'm happy with the graphics, I love flying round in it especially the helicopters but can't do anything combat where I need to look down a sight. Maybe the anios something setting needs to go up to 16 ?

Hi guys, I bought an occulus before christmas and to be honest I've hardly used it. I looking for some help to see of I can sort out a problem I'm having with it or im just going to give up. I have a 1080ti i7 6700 and 24 gb ram. I can look past the reduced quality and the pixelation because the views are out of this world but I cant seem to get my eyes round something and its vitally important to dcs. When looking through sights/hud the change in the glass really messes with my eyes I cant aim at all using hud or sights the image is distorted and the jaggies are so much it makes me feel sick. using one eye doesn't help and moving my head position round doesn't either. I wear specs. does anyone have this problem like me ? can anyone offer any advice or should I just give up and continue to use track ir. Ive tried vr zoom but it just seems to make it worse I love flying in vr but I can shoot regards Richard

ED, Thanks for doing this, I had lots of steam purchases and always wanted to move over to standalone for more control and earlier releases. I transferred everything in anticipation of getting the new mig I must have jinxed the release.:lol:

Hi, Im still waiting to hear when this will be released can we have some input from the developers? or ED? It says steam incompatible on the product page, on steam it says released 12th September. It seems as though there is no interest in people spending money on this addon from the dev. or ED

Hi, Its showing on steam as release on the 12th sept. but its still not for sale, its now the 13th. Is there any idea when it will be released on steam ? coz my money is burning a hole in my pocket

I've got a 1050ti and a 1080 monitor, does this fit with my situation ? I'm not losing any frames I don't know if i'm gaining frames like the guy above with the similar AMD, but i'm getting better visuals with no performance drop.

All of the above especially the loss of definition in cockpit and the "luminous" colours of aircraft outside, since when has olive drab been illuminous? I know we are stuck with it I've tried to mitigate it in some places, flying at different times etc. but if you are on a server you have no control over time or weather, it could be midday easily. Normandy has been completely unplayable for me since 2.5 release I don't see it ever getting any better. It was a complete waste of money. Why are ED testing lighting fixes for a rural forest area on a desert map ? it doesnt make sense I like the look of the F-18 but i'm not spending any more money until the basic game and what I have already purchased is fixed. ED is fast losing my support im sorry to say

Are you keeping EGT within safe limits ?

Forgot the awesome tracers!!. For the lighting, try putting some clouds in the sky it seems to cut it down a little. And try the gamma if not already. But even with these fixes it does seem like a lot of surfaces have lost their definition because of reflection or something. Its hard to explain.

Is there a phone line for support ? If i have no internet I am only able to contact support by phone, if i have no internet how do i find the contact details ? I am luckily enough to live in a very small village by the sea in the UK we are probably the only real mobile blackspot in the UK there is absolutely no service in the village, I would have to go 500m up a hill to find a mobile connection. To be fair my internet is through my landline phone and i can count on one hand the amount of times i lost service for more than an hour in the past year so im not really worried about that. If I have gone to work and come home and my internet is down, the way I understand it I would not be able to play unless i had had the forethought to select offline mode previously ? do i understand this correctly ? Or is offline mode automatic? Having to contact support with no access to internet is a big problem for me

Also there was a little problem where it would play the refuelling sound but not actually refuel, this sued to happen if you were reducing the fuel in the tank, but it you were flying with 100% it wouldnt affect anything. I don't know if this was fixed in 2.5.1 but in the harrier turn on your batteries and generators and apu it bump starts the refuelling or defueling

That didnt work either. If you are desparate to play on 2.5.1 for example if the servers you play on have already been updated the the solution about uninstalling steam will work

Ok i got it working completely uninstalled steam all its games and reinstalled with a new installation folder It was the only way it was possible for me with a single HD hopefully a fix will come out in the future.

Can i confirm its possible to disable deferred shading in the lua file? as I turn it off when flying at night

Thanks, and good morning again :smilewink: I think the only solution is if you have a single drive is to either completely remove steam and create the install folder somewhere else or uninstall all your steam games create the installation folder and redownload. Im not sure about the second option ...... maybe its better to wait. Just on a side note, why did they remove the deferred shading option from settings? if i am flying in vegas or at night its good for me to turn it off because at night i can see and in vegas theres few trees and i prefer a nicer aircraft cockpit in those circumstances.

Im seriously thinking to do a reinstall of windows, im a bit bloated and its been a few months what mileage do you think i will get out of it ?

Just been through a complete reinstall, deleted all traces of previous DCS and i still have the error

Could this be an issue with people running low on hd space and or pagefile also. Just trying to find a connection between us all This is the first time for me such a crash with DCS ive always been reasonably stable or at least able to play

Ok Ive done a complete steam uninstall, Im waiting for it to download. I completely deleted my saved files folders, and the AJ37 extra one, ran a ccleaner scan for registry errors prior to restarting the steam installation process.. Ill be back after a few hours with results. Something I did notice dxdiag is only reporting 16 gb of Ram when i have 24 and I confirmed that in bios I have 24 working

Morning, I forget my politeness sometimes Ive done a full reinstall and still have the same errors. I actually updated through steam 1.5 to 2.5 so it wasnt a clean install ill try that now. DxDiag.zip
