I don't know if its full screen or not but if i press alt enter when i enter a mission i get better performance. I only have full screen enabled in settings and v sync in nvidia settings

I have the same issue with night lighting as everyone else, but for me I consider the day lighting to be too bright, and with the gamma turned down it seems over saturated. For want of a better explanation during the day it seems completely blown out, over exposed. Night time i have to turn defered off, its still not perfect. But still isnt as bright as it should be. I really dont like using gamma to adjust this stuff I think it messes with colours as noted above. I hope a fix comes soon, especially some change to the trees during the day with defered off. Some of my modules run quite bad with defered on. The mig 21 for example.

Why not extend the sale from the 23rd of Feb holiday to a little after the 8th of March to honour all the women in our lives. I just made a flight from nellis to vegas in a huey at low level. I had no stuttering problems but the visuals in the distance were terrible for jaggies. A lot worse than kavkas

I gave pretty much the same system as yourself, what kind of missions/how many units etc. when you have the problems? Please see my settings. usually if im flying vegas i turn off deferred shading. I will try with my normal settings on vegas

I used to have a hybrid, an Imac fusion drive. Without any stats, or tests, only seat of the pants use the SSD beat the fusion drive hands down. Still better than a HDD though.

I'm not sure about your CPU but you for definite could do with an SSD, and thats not some wild recomendation (buy the most expensive or whatever) it will help your system overall not just with DCS

there is a mission for legacy dcs which is a simple flight plan which does a tour of landmarks on the kavkas map. It still works in 2.5 (its only waypoints really) https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=126688 I agree about the valleys, flying down them in any helicopter is amazing.

Ive been moaning about the performance of 2.5 since it came out but i made a little upgrade and things are a little better. I decided to try the "through the inferno" in the Kamov. It was awesome, the trees really are doing their job, i had to creep up on my targets just so I could see them. I was really playing cat and mouse with them. because of the line of sight i can use the aircrafts systems correctly during targeting. Instead of just standing off and firing missiles i'm marking targets and finding positions to pop up from. Its just a shame the gazelle can only carry 4 missiles that thing would be awesome in the new maps Awesome work !!!

My computer is "Multirole" not only for DCS, I can see a difference in the overall performance of the computer so for me the 2 weeks when i didn't go for a beer were worth it. If that puts it into perspective when deliberating going from 8 to 16 gb. I went for a beer

Ok i'm doing the instant mission in a huey "easy" ground attack in kavkaz Without changing any settings it is a lot more fluid. I don't want to look at the frame rate because its running very well and I don't want to break it in my mind. In this case with this aircraft at that time height 20 other AI etc. I am happy with the improvement. Previously I had Little stutters, they seem to have gone. I notice we have very similar hardware yours is slightly better than mine. i5 6400 16gb (was 8) 250 gb ssd gtx 1050 ti (4gb) Also I've got PS3 head tracking track clip etc.

I'm just going to test it on the settings I had with 8 and let you know if there is any improvement. After that i'll bump up the preload. I don't know if its placebo but my system feels a lot snappier anyway so it was worth the upgrade in that respect.

The whole lighting system in Dcs 2.5 is fubar so no not just a harrier problem. Have you tried starting cold and dark at night ? Have you tried flying at any time other than dusk or sunrise? I was talking about priority, adding a "map" to the MCDU is not exactly high priority compared to a memory leak which stops a high proportion of your players being included in multiplayer. I bought the product from ED using their website not Razbam, if when the final release is ready there is a problem it is ED's problem not Razbam. I fly the harrier every day its my go to aircraft, just a shame because of the lighting in DCS world I cant use it correctly. I'm patient read my post i'm waiting for the release version next year or the year after, also footballs for girls prefer to spend my time checking my lobster pots and surfing in the North Sea

This!!! At the very least update the requirements. Its unplayable on minimum settings on a system which has the minimum requirements, and is barely playable on a system with the recommended requirements. If i see that the requirements are over and above my system i dont bother installing even. We have had 3 hotfixes and not a peep about the memory problem after the first statement. Its a game breaking problem for people without $800 GPU's. A statement of "we are working on it" doesnt quite get to the root of the problem, maybe they could could show some priority in what is being fixed, I mean for example adding a colour map on the harrier, that is great but why not fix the lighting problem first so we can actually see the MCDU screen properly. When the release version is "released" next year or the year after maybe just maybe they won't move the system requirement goal posts again.

I actually built a budget pc with one slot populated :doh: If i installed the 16 gb that i have bought i wouldn't see any benefit from it ?

sorry i5 6400 8gb single channel 1050ti 4gb 240 ssd i should put them in my sig.
