Jeah, flying formation with "SKUNK" is allways fun. We flew a lot in formation the last days on the =STP= servers. Allways great fun and good practice.

Don`t stress yourself to much. Learning by doing is the best way I think. If you move your cyclic hard it`s recommanded to lower the collective, otherwise the rotors touch each other. Try to get friendly with the chopper by doing some races through the bunkers on an airport, or a fast low ride through a valley or a city. If I crash for some reason and I don`t know why, I allways look at the track to see what I can do better the next time.

I tried that yesterday evening in MP. I slaved the R-800 to the ADF and I asked another pilot to drop a landing request on a certain frequency. No success. Perhaps you have to send a message to your wingman, or to the whole squadron to get it working. I will try that this evening.

Just set the status to "Start from Runway" instead of "Start from Parking Area".

I never saw a laser warning receiver which can give you the exact range to the threat. This info is only available for the sender of the laser beam using the time the beam need to reach the target (you) and the way back. If the heading would be a little bit more exact, that would be nice ;)

You should assign the throttle of your stick to the COLLECTIVE not to the throttle levers! You can use Page Up and Page Down to set the different position of the throttle lever (yellow). Or you can assign the throttle levers to a free axis like the rotaries on the Saitek throttle!

I know, you dont want to change the sequence of the waypopints, but I think its the same procedure: Flight Manual Page 301 (Chapter 6-21) Changing WP Sequence in Flight When you wish to change the WP sequence, you can perform the following procedure: Disengage ROUTE mode by setting the "-" (ROUTE - DESCENT) switch on the collective to the neutral position. Turn off the "" (Waypoints) push-light on the PVI-800 Navigation Control panel. This light and the WP indication number on the display will go out. Press the "" (Waypoints) push-light and it will illuminate. On the Navigation Control panel keypad, set the new first WP by pressing the corresponding keypad button. The number (WP), will then be visible on the display. Press the "" (ENTER) push-light and the first WP will be saved into navigation computer memory. Repeat this process for the next five WPs. When complete, turn off the "" (Waypoints) mode. The new WP sequence will be saved in navigation computer memory. To activate the new route, press the Waypoints push-light again (the number of the first WP and navigation data will appear in the display) and check the correct flight direction to the new, first WP of the route. Engage ROUTE mode by setting the ROUTE DESCENT switch on the collective to the ROUTE position.

Have you played it yet? Have you read all the other post about the realism of this sim? DCS Black Shark is the most realistic combat helicopter sim you can buy as a private person!

If you are approaching an enemy target point, the infantry wouldn`t run for cover by itsself, but you can simulate that with the triggers in mission editor!

I like to play with the triggers in the mission editor! Use the trigger zone and trigger rules to create some realistic missions! As soon as you are close to the insurgents, they run for cover to their houses in the forest! A few seconds later they`ll come out of cover again, with a heavy A-A vehicule or an Igla on their shoulder! I found a little village in a forest which is a great area to build such missions!

There is no key press needed. Auto save in ...\Ka-50\Temp ;)

The most left position is normal use. (Moving canon – automatic weapons mode) allows the cannon to be slaved to the Shkval line of sight. The ATGMs launchers will adjust their vertical angle automatically. This is the primary automatic mode and all functions are calculated using a full set of weapon data for employment.

Good question. Perhaps this is caused by the coaxial rotor system?! I dont know... But I have anther question to fly at high speeds: When I trim the aircraft to the center of the skid indicator, I am drifting! Why is that? Does the downwind of the rotor takes affect to the skid indicator sensor?

There is an automatic detection. Normaly you can move the throttle (or the axis you want to set as collective) and it should be recognized automatically. Just clear the original command before.

Be sure the weapon system power is switched on (wall panel), and the weapon system mode selector is in the correct position (weapon mode control panel).
