This sounds like something that would have to be done by having an EFM, but I have no definitive answer on this. Besides being able to control the sounds of your intakes, afterburner, (external and cockpit) throttles on idle and rear engines, I don't think you have any other way by default to control your sounds. I also have no idea exactly how to create an EFM but there is a good demo here on the forums by CptSmiley (now a 3rd party dev) for the F-16. For your definition on controlling sound by frequency and volume, I believe the only default sound able to have this applied to is your external "throttles on idle" sound which also mimics engine RPM.

Best ways to avoid getting your message read the wrong way: - be polite - be patient - don't get frustrated/furious when your response is not exactly what you were intending for - if needed, kindly ask again or re-iterate. Just don't look like a hardass when asking certain questions to the developers (any 3rd party even in DCS) and you should get along just fine IMHO. I don't have a lot of speaking room to be giving this, however... Just my experience.

Apollo 13 module please. On a serious note though, I do have hope in their MiG-19P. That is something I will give point wise for them.

I like this pony. Smart pony. :D I support you on the HB comment. I have put a lot of trust into them since their Viggen launch and I still continue to believe that they will perform well in the market here.

That is one ugly looking camo. :(

Good stuff! We're still going to enjoy your product regardless of a date being given.

It seriously can't be this hard to wait guys. If you were able to wait for 3+ years, then I am more than sure that you can still wait some more. Complaining that YouTubers having access to the F-14 is a bit ridiculous because they're the ones trying to sponsor and advertise the work and effort put into this module. Also, I think that MP mission of 10 vs. 10 was likely a launch trailer recording. But that's just me. ;)

I found this on the RAZBAM discord and thought that this was a bit too big to not be posted here on the forums. "Hidden" encryption of a MiG-19P DLC for DCS World Steam Edition was founded on steamdb.com website. Possible release tomorrow or this Friday? :) (Not my original post, credit to SuperEntendard)

I will be sharing a video soon on the Taxi & Takeoff training mission. I am currently waiting to get audio files for the voice, but once that has been completed we will be seeing the next in line: landing and shutdown. Tweaks are being made to the startup training mission as some issues were seen and noted. I hope to share more with you guys soon. :) - Sirius -
They do communicate with their fanbase. I occasionally see them respond back to people's requests and feedback on their modules, both in-dev and released.

As a type of "in defense" post to HB, I don't mind having to wait for this module compared to some others while we are occasionally flashed stuff our way. Estimating time of release, especially in the developing world is a lot harder than it sounds. Things can come during your development cycle, such as new bugs, missing additions, etc. etc. I will give them the benefit of the doubt because as much as they have said that they would like to get this off of their hands, they wish to perfect this module to something that would (likely) have as little updates as possible. The only problem to this whole EA thing and "when will it be released" is how in the past we have had certain game dev studios and 3rd parties (that will not be named here) who have somewhat abused the label. While it does mean you get your content faster, it also means that you are also missing out on the full quality of whatever it is. In this case, we are giving up the full quality and immersion of a module to get our hands on it faster.

I had almost written up a huge post as to how this was all dumb, but then I realized that this was just another attempt to troll. :D Carry on.

This discord is a smart idea in order to get more in touch with people in the DCS community. I know many groups in DCS that use Discord for their comms and having an open server where you can drop by and talk to the devs is good because it allows for more online/active user feedback and you can talk straight to the devs. (Word on word sentence I know)

I think I have the answer to what you want to know. It depends on if you're talking about in-pit sounds or external sounds. For external sounds, there is a line in the AIRCRAFT.lua file (ie. F-104T.lua) for this. It is "sound_name" and refers to a directory path to the Sounds folder, ex. as "aircraft\F-104T\Sounds". For in-pit sounds, I am honestly not so sure as I am still trying to look into that as well. I hope I was able to help answer your question. There is indeed a lack of knowledge in this area that I wish was fully more covered over beside the examples that we have been given in modding.

Does this mean that upon MiG-19P release, the Cuban team will go forward onto our beloved Flogger next? :D

Correct me if I am mistaken, but wasn't vapor effects already in place for the Mirage? This seems to be only a change in it from the canard points to the whole delta wings.

If anything has become the cliche, its been using Early Access as an excuse to keep something into an indefinite state of WIP.

Give it to me baby!

Im honestly glad to see work going regularly on this module now. I was worried at first, but now since there is a 3rd party wanting to take over this in a joint venture makes me very happy. Can't wait to get my hands on her. :)

Not sure if this has already been reported, but just in case not: EDIT: This already has been addressed.Disregard.

NOW AVAILABLE: Community A-4E-C Mod
fl0w replied to Merker's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Unofficial Training Missions Hey guys. As I mentioned previously in a post on this thread, I stated that I would be working on some training missions for the A-4E-C mod that will be interactable for users. I am happy to currently show off the 1st training mission in line: the startup. As time does go on, more and more will be made. Currently at the time of this writing, there is 1 other training mission in the works on taxi and takeoff procedures. I will be planning to provide a set of training missions in both the Caucasus and Nevada theatres. However, I will be doing Caucasus for now. Below is a video demonstrating the capabilities of the training mission. I hope for these to serve as aids for user inter actibility as since most teaching is now either in the Community A-4E guide or in the form of tutorials on YouTube. This is in no way meant to replace any of them. I hope you guys enjoy! (P.S., apologies for the TrackIR clipping out around the end and shakiness. Still a bit new to it. :P) - Sirius -
Announcing BGSC: Beginners Guide to Systems Coding
fl0w replied to fl0w's topic in How To Mod for DCS World
"GEAR_LEVER" refers to the string/text within the gear_system.lua file. In Section 1-A, it shows how to create your own parameter handles. I hope that I was able to help! -
Nice work. This definitely adds another level of detail to the module when looking upclose.
