Hello, all. Whenever I am inside of the cockpit of my mod, my external model seems to disappear until I turn my head roughly 90 degrees cw/ccw in either direction, where it then re-appears. The issue is shown here like so: Roughly 90 degrees < 90 degrees inward I have checked my argument number 114 (visibility track) for any issues and there does not seem to be any. I also attempted to make my materials in 3DS Max 2-sided, but alas no success. This is how my models are set up for visibility track: External model Cockpit model If anyone knows how to fix this issue, please tell me! Any feedback is greatly appreciated. :D

Nope, I didn't. But I would hope not to release it in that many years! ;)

Getting some practice against the Sabres. Got to start somewhere small in order to reach up toward the Tomcat. :pilotfly: The release of this mod is expected within 1-2 months. An F-14 dogfight video will be posted soon.

Just guessing here, I don't work/represent for them. But here's what I would assume: - AJS37 (released) - F-14A/B - J-35 - A-6E/KA-6

Here is the solution to this.

The cockpit is planned for a revamp by Cuban.

C'est la vie. Even if Chuck is unable to help support the loyal Kitty fans in having a guide, I believe that certainly there will be other great and talented chaps out there to make one for us. :)

Model Request: NITKA sky jump for CATOBAR carrier takeoff training
fl0w replied to CTR's topic in DCS Modding
I'll check out some reference images and maybe attempt a mockup model of this. -
Why would you put all of your 100% expectations into a target timeframe? They never promised that would be the actual month. There was no "100% guarantee." But many times we have been told that the waiting time keeps growing shorter and shorter every single day. The mistake was people getting themselves hyped up over things not officially announced by HB themselves. It is irrational to blame the 3rd party for something that they never officially given a release date for in the first place beside "winter." People were told to manage their expectations and wait accordingly until the latest of March 21, but people had believed otherwise, including dates like these: end of January, February 14th, February 27th, June 15th the list continues...

I updated my DCS client... No joke. Was odd to see it when comparing to screenshots.

It's an outdated version of the game that few even use anymore. And the 1.5 branches will no longer be supported for in terms of any new updates since the 2.5 merge.

Model Request: NITKA sky jump for CATOBAR carrier takeoff training
fl0w replied to CTR's topic in DCS Modding
It may be a limitation from the collision model, damage model, and/or the FM used. -
Feels a bit "squashed." That or the white coloring is too thick for the inner part of the star shape.
-
Not necessarily a bug, but upon highlighting on the icon you get this weird artifact.

Model Request: NITKA sky jump for CATOBAR carrier takeoff training

Looks pretty cool, would like to see in DCS. I have no idea how to code a static object like this, but I would be happy to take the modeling aspect as a challenge. -
Awesome model. Would like to see it in DCS.

Sometimes the best criticism and feedback is the type that is publicly said. I understand your point on the whole application part, but for what was said, it allows others to build on. If HB/ED finds this unsuitable for discussion, however, then it is best to let it be as I would be putting socks in my mouth for speaking wrongly.

There was some false information yesterday on some Discord servers about a faked thread post of Wags saying the F-14 was going to be delayed to June. It's been already declared not official, but in case that this was the reference, I will say it here.

IMHO, HB depends a lot on user feedback in order to greaten their product. If anything, it opens new eyes for some and shows a different perspective on how things would be done. It doesn't certainly have to be amended to but helps with rational decision making. But on the contrary, I can not speak for HB or the application thread. Edit: Cobra is speedy! I reside my post to his official words.

You can have my virtual wif- wait... Just have a cookie instead for saying this.

Simple, just don't. It's an outdated version of the game that few even use anymore. If you really want to though, download 1.5 on the DCS website and if needed downgrade via cmd.

+1. A new sub forums called "Announcements" would really be nice. :)

Testing the MiG-23UB in low visibility conditions. A dust storm is used in these screenshots. F-14 dogfight video coming soon. :)

A thread that is being provided as relief for all the toxicity on the forums gets a 1 star? Alrighty then. Back on topic, I feel very much the same about how everything has gone lately. I came into the DCS franchise around mid-2011 when I noticed on Steam a peculiarly ugly plane and wanted to see if the game was good. This game turned out to be the DCS A-10C separate, and I wouldn't touch it until again years later to get into the biggest ride of my life in terms of hobbies. I can safely say now that as of this date, I am now what I consider as a full on flight fanatic, being very well attached to what this game has to offer. I wouldn't say that it is a sense of pride, but that I care a lot in retrospect of what is going on and what will happen in the future. Looking back into the past, I still can't believe that I could convince my scrawny, obnoxious 12-year-old self to keep waiting for an iconic aircraft like this one. Soon, I will be turning 17, which will mark those 5 years of patiently waiting, lying to myself, and some dreams of actually flying the module. I am very excited for the release, and wouldn't expect anything less out of HB for all of the hard work that they have done. :D
