  1. To that, if you are in TWS and you have a target soft locked, and you fire the Sparrrow, it automatically goes to STT and drops all the other contacts. v6, boNes
  2. I believe currently it is only active off the rail if you as the pilot have the ACM panel open and as the RIO if you have it set in the MSL OPTIONS panel switched to PH ACTIVE v6, boNes
  3. With the new patch to fix 2.5.6 I still get the "CAn not open debriefing file" error, then it kicks me back to the main menu. v6, boNes
  4. Same happens for me in any F-14 instant action mission. Dogfight in Caucuses, guns only and fox 2s only in Nevada, BFM Lion and the Sun in Persian Gulf.... v6, boNes
  5. Was working, but now when I login, DCS crashes Crashlog sent. v6, boNes
  6. Thansk! I can login now but I still get "Can not open debriefing file" after a mission then it kicks me out to the main menu. Video is also choppy. v6, boNes
  7. Also in SP, there is no debriefing in Instant Action Caucasus mission "Dogfight"("Can not open debriefing file") and when setting voice chat settings, it CTD. v6, boNes
  8. Same here, as reported here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=264022 v6, boNes
  9. Can't login after 2.5.6 Updated to 2.5.6. When I try to log in to DCS it won't take my login and password. Attempting to reset my password, it won't take it even though it follows the password requirements. v6, boNes
  10. It usually takes him about a minute before he changes things. He changes them by switching to AC stab and then when it goes back to ground stab, it's to whatever default heading is on. So I have to tell him again to reset the heading. Sometimes the sectors and degrees coverage change too. I'll have to run it again to get more accurate reports for you. v6, boNes
  11. Is there any way to stop Jester from messing around with my NavGrid settings? Whether I hop in the back seat and set it up, or I tell him to set it up from the front seat he either changes the settings or he goes to AC stab instead of ground stab when I need it in ground stab. When the heat is on and I'm trying to help out a buddy in MP, it takes too long to re-command Jester to set the NavGrid to what I wanted over and over again. Thanks! v6, boNes
  12. OK, just checking because in my options, lshift-U is listed as catapult launch. In any case, I launch pretty much 99.9% of the time, all the time. v6, boNes
  13. Can't believe that Duke was wearing a prison uniform between 2005 and 2013. v6, boNes
  14. I had this problem but very rarely. I tried it again last night just to see. I trapped, unhooked from the wires, taxiied over to the cat, hooked up, saluted, and launched, flaps up. Came back, trapped, unhooked from the wires, taxied over to the cat, hooked up, saluted, and launched this time with flaps. Worked every time. One thing I wondered is if there was a keybind for salute as I read that someone hit salute to launch. I myself do not recall a salute keybind, and I looked through the controls list for one and did not find any. But my thought being maybe there is a salute command which does nothing more than that, salute. Like in Arma 3, you can salute, but it's more for show than anything else. Anyway, to hook up to the cat, I lower the launch bar then hit "u". The JBD comes up, I get adjusted onto the shuttle, and then after I go to launch power, I hit LEFT shift and U, my avatar salutes, then I'm launched a second later. When I did have the problem, I would just idle everything, wait a moment, then power up again and hit right SHIFT U again and it would be fine. Come to think of it I think I only have this problem on Cat 1. The test I did last night was on Cat 2. Maybe that has something to do with it. <shrug> v6, boNes
  15. Check out Alerax's LSO program. IT is pretty realistic and not hard to add to a mission. It gives carrier grades and uses the same notation, and you can even do the Marshall stack. It will also handle you as a flight (multiple flyers). Covers F-14B and F/A-18C, maybe more. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3674407#post3674407 v6, boNes
  16. Of course you can also manually designate it a hostile with PLID, but you better be sure then, otherwise if shared to other aircraft, they might attack it and cause a blue on blue situation. v6, boNes
  17. Update: I find that on this stock GBU mission in the Caucuses if you fly fairly straight in (follow the line from the WP SEQ to the WP) then make your IP inbound, laser, spot, then in hot call, you will get cleared hot. Deviate too much from that and you will get an abort. I also found that you can egress any way you want and it doesn't seem to have an effect (of course the preferred egress is in the direction the JTAC says). Last I found that even if your bomb hits and they clear you to re-attack, you have to do it quickly--they won't have the laser on forever even if they say you are cleared hot. To avoid this, after they confirm the kill, I check out, then check in again. I have to go through all of the 9 line stuff again, but I use that time to parallel my ingress route and then turn onto the ingress heading. By the time I'm set up, I am ready to tell them to turn the laser on. With the above, out of 6 bombs dropped, all 6 hit. Then I landed at Senaki and ran out of gas on the apron, haha. v6, boNes
  18. I wonder if they need some kinetic energy like the Walleye. I launched a JSOW once while flying at 400 KIAS and it fell short, but when I launched between 500-600 KIAS, they hit. v6, boNes
  19. I cannot stress enough how much trim is your friend! v6, boNes
  20. Playing around again and this time I added terminal guidance data. Didn’t change the hit or miss stats much but it made me wonder...how required is this? If I don’t enter terminal guidance data, it seems to guide and hit the target as often as when I do. Is TERM not functional yet? v6, boNes
  21. OK, so then my suspicions are correct...I have to set bullseye as an AA waypoint even though it's already on the map/in the mission. Too bad if there is a bullseye in the mission it's not automatically set in the Hornet...but I guess that's what data cartridges are for which I don't think is modeled in the DCS Hornet yet. Thanks. v6, boNes
  22. So I was brushing up on things in the Hornet and I was watching Wags' video on AA Waypoints and bullseye. In it, in the RDR MFD, you have at the top left of the MFD, the position of the cursor from the bullseye. In the bottom of the MFD you have your position from the bullseye, and in the bottom left you have BRA from the cursor to you. When I try it in the sim, I don't get any of these positions displayed in the MFD. I might get BRA from cursor to me, but nothing else. I tried it in RWS and in TWS, in AA mode and not. But no dice. I checked to make sure the mission had a bullseye and it did show one on the F10 map. Is it that even though there is a bullseye on the map, I still have to make sure there is an AA waypoint assigned to it? Or it its present on the map mean it's already programmed into the Hornet's nav? Or am I missing something else? Thanks! v6, boNes
  23. Ah, yes, good point! v6, boNes
  24. So I notcied while flying MP that if you have Jester as your RIO, you are not able to do strike missions since he has no LANTIRN ability and you can't jump in the RIO seat to work it yourself. Also, I found that you can have him turn on NAVGRID but if you wanted to, say, change the range of the display or even HCU offset it, you can't, which makes it sort of unusable in MP. Is there a workaround? v6, boNes
  25. OK, it's ongoing, thanks! v6, boNes
