Please read my message above: Here's two tracks clearly showing this. In MAV Test 2 I break visual contact with the bandit, activate CNM Magic, go back to CNM Neutral, and then I'm still able to acquire a lock and fire a Magic. In MAV Test 3 instead I activate CNM Magic, acquire a lock, go back to CNM Neutral and the lock is still there, the Magic is still selected on the PCA and I can fire it. In both cases I can fire the Magic with CNM Neutral. I read the updated part in the manual, but I couldn't find anywhere that I should be able to fire a Magic with CNM Neutral. Have a look here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=245165 Edit: you figured it out on your own, great :) but have a look at the thread anyway since quite a bit of logic changed in that update
-
It seems that if no prior other weapons (e.g. 530) are selected, going to CNM Magic and back to CNM Neutral clears the AA HUD symbols except the vertial arrow, and no PCA store is selected as expected, but the IR scan is still active and firing the Magic releases the missile. Again, don't know if it's intended or not, but it seems weird. Instead, once that 530 are selected at least once, going back to CNM Neutral after CNM Magic correctly selects 530 and the IR scan is not active anymore.

So, I just had a few brief tests, just updated. First thing that I noticed: if I switch to Vertical Narrow Search, the four brackets appear at the corners of the area. But then, if I deselect MAV from PCA or put back CNM to Cancel, the brackets stay in the HUD. Is this correct? Does this mean that the IR Search is still operational? EDIT: yes, it looks like that once you enter MAV search by pressing MAG or using CNM Magic, the seeker is always on. The only way I could find to deactivate it, and make all the HUD symbols (the brackets and the horizontal/vertical arrow) is to DESELECT MAV (going back to MAG) and then switch to CNM GUN and then CNM Neutral. Is this correct?

The FBW test must be done with engine running while still on the ground, before taxy. Be sure to wait for the green light before moving back the switch in the middle position and close the cover. That will turn off DECOL.

Great, thank you. Did you also fix the other bugs reported in the Download page?
-
Hey, I just noticed that the PIC/PID indication is absent when no contacts are locked or the radar is SIL. According to new changes it's always visible, as it reports the default designate mode.
-
I have to say, this is gorgeous.
-
Sorry, I thought you were liking having that icon during flight. My fault!
-
The green icon is only for development purposes and will not be available for release
-
Am I wrong, or this means we will have 3 (at least) states? Caged / Uncaged wide / Uncaged narrow? If they're managed with a single button, would pressing it cycle through all the modes?
-
I learned this the hard way myself, but the manual clearly states to not to mix A/G ordinance because the computer may not be able to manage all of them. During my tests I also experienced this: I could not fire rockets from outer pylons if I also have Mk82s.
-
Exaxlctly, so the fact that when slaving the Magic during an hard lock the box disappears altogether it's a bug. It should become a triangle.
-
You have to enable it via mission editor now

This is what we're talking about. Anyone cheering for the module to be as close as possible as the real counterpart, just ask yourself if the bugs we have right now are faithful to the real bird. Since they're not, I can't find many reasons to be happy about these otherwise great news.

Just to be sure, Ivo: what is officially broken? INS bombing?

Still happening in 2.5.6.45317 Just hopped in Caucasus Free Flight and switched tape side. dcs.log-20200322-092935.zip

We already know all of this, and this part (at least) is working as expected. Nobody is complaining about this specific aspect of the radar.

Here you can find some of them: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4186980&postcount=4 To these, you can also add DCS crashes when selective jettisoning Mk82s,contacts are only locked reliably in b-scope, and vertical scan seems to do +5/-5 (but I only read about this one, didn't try myself). Also you can have a look yourself at RAZBAM's issue tracker here, and appreciate how: - Most of the issues they're working on are different from the ones the community is reporting (and way less important IMHO) - Most of them haven't been working on yet Let me clarify: I don't hate anyone and I can imagine how difficult can be to write such a complex simulator being a software engineer myself. But I want to be honest: if I wasn't forced to fly the M2000 by my virtual squadron activity, I would have switched to another module months ago.
-
I can't seem to drop any snakeye or fire any rockets. Guns and AA missiles seems to work. Plus, I had a crash selective jettisoning Snakeyes. Also Belouga and GBU don't fire. Am I missing something? Master Arm is on obviously. Ok, right: it should be the quantity selector.

DCS World TARGET profile for TM Cougar and Warthog + MFDs
=36=Witcher replied to Home Fries's topic in Thrustmaster
Hey man, The M2000 changes have been published today in OpenBeta 2.5.6.45317. I confirm that TDC Center has been REPLACED by TDC Depress (Lock Target), so we don't have the TDC Center anymore. TWS/STT switch is on its own now. So, with the current setup, I have S3+TDC Press to lock target, and H4 Up to switch TWS/STT. I'll try to live with that until an update.- 2261 replies

It wasn't a thing until about June 2018. Then I took a hiatus and came back to DCS last Christmas, and that's when I leaned about them for the first time.
-
Those are the wheel chocks. Ask ground crew to remove them with F8-F4-F2. Engine must be off or at least throttle idle otherwise they won't comply and you won't be able to remove them, unless you put throttle idle, ask to put them again and then remove again. I guess this last behaviour is a bug

DCS World TARGET profile for TM Cougar and Warthog + MFDs
=36=Witcher replied to Home Fries's topic in Thrustmaster
Now that I read it again, a third alternative (probably even better than the second, at least) can be: - H2 UP will perform AA Designate, unchanged from current profile - Slew Control Push performs Magic Slave / AG Designate / INS Position Update, unchanged from current profile - H4 Push won't do Target Unlock / Special Mode Deselect anymore, but will switch TWS / STT - Shift + H4 UP or DOWN perform Target Unlock / Special Mode Deselect, unchanged from current profile But Shift + TDC Press to switch STT/TWS sounds reasonable too, although as you said, given the sensitivity, the less you touch the slew with the finger, the better. Speaking of the slew sensitivity, I really know the pain. Have you ever considered to add some deadzone in the LUA? Every time I happen to reapply the profile (I know there should be no need, but you know, from time to time I also do some experiments that always fail abruptly :D) I have to remember to fine tune all the axis...- 2261 replies
