All correct. But the question was: Can the RWR tell apart a friendly from a bandit on its own? The answer is no.
-
Sorry, I took for granted that we were talking about DCS and not real life
-
This is exactly why don't usually use the radar to check on a friendly for his position, but rather radio calls and navigation points No, and honestly no RWR that I know is able to do that, at least of this era. Even the F-16C and the F/A-18C (the two most recent fighters currently modeled in DCS) cannot do that, at least considering only the RWR. As you correctly say the F/A-18C can do this thanks to the Datalink, but in a dedicated MFD page, not the RWR display. Another sub-optimal option is to leverage the TACAN in Yardstick mode, but you would only know the distance from your buddy. You can set whatever free TACAN frequency, and your buddy will set the same channel +63 (so for example, you select 14Y and your friend sets 77Y). Then you will both see the distance from each other setting the IDN to TAC, but again, only the distance, no direction... So not very useful unless you have time to do some mental calculations. Remember, the M-2000C modeled in DCS is an early '80s model, so you are supposed to do some navigation thanks to your brain What @TheSkipjack95 said is also correct, PSID won't alert the receiver's RWR, but it's refresh rate is not that great.

MAIN CAMPAIGN Critical errors in caution panel and poor maneuverability

You also have to run the FBW test before taking off. If you played it years ago you should catch up with the latest updates. -
F-16C Ejection seat arming handle

A kind Bump won't hurt that much, right? -
Make sure to follow the flight profiles depicted in the manual

The NWS will stay locked at whatever angle you disengage it. Make sure to run a few meters straight before disengaging it.

The only odd thing in your screenshot is that G and D are not circled in the HUD: That makes me think that despite the TIR indcation, the S P in the SNA and the P MIS in the PPA, somehow you don't have a valid firing solution. I can't really tell if you're in PIC or PID radar mode; in theory, even if you're in PID, the radar should automatically switch to PIC holding the MiCRoB button (that's why I asked how long you were holding it), but I would try to shoot when already in PIC, just to rule out anything.
-
Which command are you using to fire? Are you keeping it pressed for one second (more and less)?
-
Are you sure you're not loading an empty tank in the Rearm panel, or in the Loadout screen in the Mission Editor?
-
No.
-
If changing it manually works (and I think it does, IIRC) then there's some issues with the bindings.
-
IIRC it won't work on Multi Thread. Try Single Thread.
-
Scusa ma quello che dici non mi aiuta a capire cosa stia succedendo. Hai controllato i binding? Hai provato a rimappare gli assi? Ci riesci?
-
Che vuol dire "Non riesco"? Cosa succede esattamente?
-
The glare is there if you don't look straight at it. I think you don't see it when looking directly at it because in the M2000 there's a deep "visual cone" (sorry I can't find better words).

Radio not working since 2.8.4.38947 Open Beta
=36=Witcher replied to lethaldescent's topic in Aerges
Yeah, I've been experiencing a lot of issues with radios, already opened a bug report. It seems it starts working after switching the test switch on and off, at least for me. -
I think I have found a consistent reproduction. In order to "Unlock" radios, after powering them on, I have to: - Set PAL+G on Green Radio - Move test switch to R and back to EA+2 - Change frequency (if in M) or Channel (if in P). After this, Red Radio also starts to work when changing channel.

Hello everyone! I recently bought the F1 and going through my familiarization routines I seem to have some issues with the SRS integration. Speicifically, when I startup the plane, radios will have incorrect values (0.000 and 0.010) even when radios are powered up. After randomly playing with both modes and channels knobs, and also with manual frequency selectors, the SRS overlay evetually starts to show correct values. Even so, two issues still persist: - PAL+G mode, that should listen on both the selected frequency and Guard, actually shows 0.000; - The Channels selector have an offset of 5, i.e. selecting Channel 1 in one of the radios shows C6 in the SRS Overlay; Channel 2 shows C7 in the overaly, and so on. Channel 16 in the knob shows C1 in the overlay. This happens with both F1CE and F1EE. So I was wondering, all these behaviours are normal and I'm doing something wrong, is there something to fix in the SRS integration instead?

RAZBAM is very clear on this: no other variants are planned.
-
Beh, c'è male nel volere le nuove feature? Ne parlate come fosse una colpa...
-
-
Un po' come tutti i moduli? Qual è il problema?
