=36=Witcher replied to Home Fries's topic in Thrustmaster
First questions: is the F-16 enabled in the modules list, and is it the default module? What's the output of TARGET when running the script?- 2261 replies

Yeah, but I was referring to the fact that the feeders will stay at 590kg until you have fuel in both external (the two under the wings and the centerline) AND internal tanks (right forward, right wing, left forward, left wing and center forward).
-
I think it's better to specify: external OR internal tanks. I know you know the difference, but it may be not obvious to anyone

Uhm...

Hello, I would like to "officially" report as a bug what is being discussed here: https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/digital-combat-simulator/dcs-f-5e-tiger-ii/7114676-rwr-indicator-control-power-button-bug Basically, when using keyboard or joystick to power up the RWR, the switch is depressed as soon as the key on keyboard/joystick is released. The original thread also has a solution (apparently tested, not by me, for joystick only -- not tested on keyboard). It would be nice to have it fixed officially.

Police Light never worked. Sound is supposed to be reworked but no estimation yet, but there's a nice mod somewhere

Uhm... I was sure I could constantly get to the 5nm range with the TDC. I have to double check, perhaps it changed in the latest beta... or I could simply be wrong.
-
You can have 5nm moving the TDC in the bottom edge of the VTB. Same for the high edge, you can reach 320nm
-
Yes, it works!

I'm not saying it's not correct, but only that you cannot select the tanks you're dropping. You either drop all of them, being empty or not, or none of them.
-
Yes, you're right... My bad. Well, the answer is "no" anyway, unless (I think?) you emergency-jettison everything, but you have to make sure you have nothing execpt Magics in outer pylons.
-
No. By the way, if you would bring three tanks and not just one, you would drop them altogether anyway. You can only jettison per armament type, not for "empty/not empty".

This is the main thread I was talking about. Hoping it could get some love. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=169190
-
There's a thread in the Bugs section already. It will be sorted out eventually.
-
We already have bindings for the INS.
-
Those key bindings are indeed missing currently

As reece146 said in the post above, I think that with Wine should be theoretically possible. I would try myself but unfortunately I have not enough disk space in my Linux box. WineHQ App Database reports aren't promising though... https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=38165

100% correct. That's why you need an external tool like the one Leatherneck put up (by the way, if you're curious, it's called Mantis Bug Tracker and it's a free, open source tool). Let's hope someone from ED notices this thread and at least think about this.
-
Exactly what I said would be my dream :) It's not something trivial, at all, and requires people to manage it. But if ED could make it work properly, the whole DCS (both core and third party) would benefit incredibly. I wonder if NineLine or BIGNEWY are around to hear what they think about this.

This, so many times. A significant part of my job is to maintain an open source project on behalf of my company. We have a very little community (like, the "active" users can be counted with just one hand) so the metric is certainly different here, but we're still talking about software after all, so I think that a proper bug tracking tool (there are a lot of free ones around) would be something to consider IMHO. Of course, being an external tool, people would have to make their own account somewhere else, but I like to think that a person who's interested in submitting a bug report does that in order to improve the product, and signing up for a different account is something that can be accepted. Only, please: avoid something like the "community bug tracker" you had before at Razbam in your website: apart from the tool itself, that I really didn't like from a user experience point of view, you guys only used to show us what you were doing and what not, and not in a timely manner anyway since you didn't seem to update it that often. I, as a customer, don't need to get to "peek" on the items in development from time to time (because, by the way, you guys were updating that board only from time to time... some times it needed a few weeks to get an update). As a customer, I would love to interact with the development team, propose issues and comment on those, have a constructive discussion. Of course, in order to do so, the dev team (or at least someone from Razbam) would need to use that tool in order to keep in touch with the user base. I know, again, that we're not talking about open source here, and that this is something that implies a lot of changes for a lot of people involved, but if we're talking about transparency in development and make issue reporting useful, I honestly think that this has a lot of potential. Then, in my dream world, this service should be something directly maintained by ED itself, available for each and every released or EA module, and integrated with the forum identity, so that new accounts would not be required, but I'm dreaming for far too much I'm afraid. Well... I had to say that. I hope that my idea makes at least a little sense to someone. If not... well, again, I had to try to propose this :) EDIT: I somehow missed RustBelt's message at the end of the previous page: This is EXACTLY what I'm talking about. I wasn't aware that someone else already tried it (I only knew about Frontier Development, the guys behind Elite Dangerous, as a game developer with a public bug tracker), but hell yes, this is THE WAY to go for me.

So I finally had the chance to test it. 1- I can confirm, no more CTDs. This is the most important thing! 2- I don't have any BSideSongX.ogg file. Am I supposed to have them? Because I also tried a repair but the files are not there. So, the question is: are there any BSideSongX.ogg file by default, or these are only coming from custom mods?
