  1. +1 on this ;)
  2. I might just speak for myself, but for me the statistics isn't a real big deal. From this I cannot buy me anything ... In my opinion it would be great to have those bombers. Maybe let them come in waves and fly over certain airfields. It would be a great thing for the allied side to protect those and for the axis to intercept them. For me this would be more immersive than searching single fighters in the sky.
  3. wupps, wrong source for my quote... sorry :D
  4. one thing is the software, another thing is the fact that some people have more modules than just the 'one and only' ;) I believe that even when there is an option for this implemented ... one does not gain any advantage in MP I don't quite see the reason why to implement anything, i would foremost love the feel of this old-tech hud ... its appealing to me. And judging from the video above - its not that bad - isn't it ? :D
  5. Just a short picture-story of what might happen if one doesn't obey the law ;) http://virtual-pilots.com/dcs-world/air-police/
  6. nice, what kind of displays did you use there?
  7. I don't see a big deal in a not-so-smooth-hud... if it was in the real plane like this, then i want it in the sim - exactly like this. we're not playing "call of duty - aircombat fightorzz 25" - this is dcs, here we are simulating as close to the real thing as possible. and in this way i expect the f14 to be, nothing less. and judging from the other modules in the past, i assume nothing but the best quality ;)
  8. Why would you add an option which isn't in the real plane? Did the RL f14 pilots drop their Jobs on it because the refresh rate of the hud 'hurts their eyes'? :O Don't get me wrong, If anybody is bothered with this, then this plane ought not be bought then... There is the f18 if wanted more.... ;)
  9. Helios might be good and all, but unfortunately i haven't found a viggen profile. Icarus has one ;)
  10. I know it is not much of a help for helios - but have you tried to use icarus instead? It is supported and updated - which one cannot tell for helios
  11. looks good! do you add switches and displays to this setup as well?
  12. sounds like a 'cheat' to me, it would be the same as asking to have somone else 'sitting' in a single piloted machine, just for watching you would be able to have an additional pair of eyes in multiplayer dogfights while not having to worry about the operation of the radar etc I would not recommend such things
  13. actually coming from viggen and thinking about buying one just because the module promises to be good and i think of interesting usage with a couple of my friends. the other thing was i would have a plane on the red side of the server which might be handy if red is outnumbered does one stand any chances in dogfight situations?
  14. just a question for the cold war server folks: Has anyone tried to fly the l39 on this server and is it usable?
  15. it's the reflection from the pilots chest :D
  16. I don't see much salt in this thread ... mostly statements about what to improve and how. eekz is not responsible for dcs bugs and I believe nobody blames him for them back to topic: had a fun mission yesterday, unfortunately I was alone on the server at 23h utc+1 .. when are you folks online?
  17. this could be surpressed by installing flaks around the airfields vulching was a problem in il2 as well, but somehow it worked that it was frowned ... one thing would be SRS .. and only that instead of "here is our discord, here is our ts and here is srs..." but that is only my preference (others might love ts and hate srs instead ... ) ;) about the mission: I think it's fine, maybe the distances could be closer to each other ... attack on bomberformations would also be nice, since bombing with an bf109 isn't that fun (from axis point of view). on the other side it would be nice to have escort missions for the allies (ok the scripting might be bad ... human controlled bombers would be the solution...) yeah not easy ... :)
  18. +1 ;)
  19. Its sad .. most ww2 planes I see are on aerobatics. It seems that FC3 planes on free for all servers are more 'fun' than complex combat in properly simulated ww2 planes .... :(
  20. Sorry I didn't want to criticize the map or the mission. It was because on my usual flight time there are seldom more than 2 people online (11pm utc+1). Of course on the video there are many more online ... ;) In my point of view the mission itself is great, you are not responsible for the dcs bugs. Maybe you just need to adapt because of the dcs bugs - narrow the distances for example... and SRS would be great (correct me if I'm wrong, I believe it wasn't included in the mission briefing)
  21. is there a time when there are more than 2 people on this server? I think the problem is that one would rather connect to another server where people are on, than connect onto an empty server - which is a problem again ... I don't know if the mission might be an issue, maybe its just because of the ww2 setting, I cannot tell ... I'd love to fly ww2 again ;)
  22. I've built a led headtracker 'clip' and use it with facetracknoir. It works so great that I cannot believe trackir would be better! money invest: facetracknoir (2$ ? ) and the leds ...
  23. Allright, I assume that this new cloud system will arrive 'soon' :D
  24. I was flying with friends on a good day with a couple of clouds in the sky. A friend reported that he cannot see me, due to the fact he was flying in clouds. This was true for him, but since I was right behind him, and I was in clear sky (him as well from my point of view), but not true for me. We have seen that clouds are not synchronized in multiplayer, which might be a problem, if you want to run into clouds to hide away - but the bad guy might get you, just because the clouds are not there for him ... Is this a known bug?
