Had the same issue on v. 2.9.2.49940 (before the last update it worked), no carrier respawned after startup of the mission. The malicious part is that yourself are not respawned too when configured aboard, symptoms are no F1, no F3 etc. map view from start, other planes F2 working. I shot out all mods (from Saved game), I realized Su-30MK is mod too, ran repair and everything is playing together

hi all, I found how to crank on engines more-less reliably: turn your head to have a view on both engine MFD and starting buttons, freeze the view, then hold button for particular engine until it has 10-11 % of nominal and then start clicking the button approx. 3x a second, engine will "catch up" and starts to increase the RPM, when it is above 13 %, you can start the next one

Maybe this is stated somewhere else too, but for complexity: I run DCS without admin privileges, at 1920x1080, no full screen, despite of it I can not minimize DCS screen, but I found a workaround, thanks to that I have two monitors. I simply click to another surface, it makes DCS "window" deselected and then works Win key and another combos too. With the help of Ctl-Shift-Esc I can run task manager and in it minimize the DCS screen.

This is a story how I damaged (a little) my TM throttle with good intention. My TM Cougar is an old veteran, purchased sometime in 2004. In 2005 it got a Hall sensors upgrade by Ernest "Cubpilot" Smith. Year after year the ANT pot lost it's center detent so I wanted to refresh it with procedure described also by Cubpilot How to fix an antenna pot The problem occured when I tried to pull out ANT knob. It didn't go by hand nor by flat screwdriver. After use of some excessive force I finished with the axis torn out from the potentiometer (pic 1). I dismantled the whole handle, disconnected the rest of pot (pic 2) and tried to get out the axis from the knob as I was convinced to save the knob at least. I was forced to use really brute force, put the axis into a vice and pulled the knob from axis with a crowbar. Fortunately it worked and I saved the knob with minor damage (pic 3). I realized how I destroyed the pot, the axis is pressed into the tiny plastic disk with two wipers to make a contact and central detent on opposing plate with resistor and central ring (pic 4). Now I also know, why I wasn't able to pull out the knob from the axis without force. It was glued with red warnish during assembly. The red lacquer is probably the same, what is used in both casings to seal various nuts. So bear in mind this opportunity, maybe you will need a new spare pot and maybe the knob when you will intend or be forced to disassembly the throttle. Now I am looking for another pot, I contacted TM support and local dealer too, I will inform a community how I succeeded...

I'm in the same situation like Doum76, I spent almost the whole year doing quite other things than flying DCS and now it took almost two hours until it stuck to my mind to start search in this forum... Obviously the problem is between the stick and the chair I set an KC-135 to refuel my Hornet. Well, tomorrow I will try some drogue turbofan plane

that was my problem too, thank you for finding it out and let's stay safe from ****ing corona :)

Is there any form of Boolean input in advanced search? I can see all inputs with more keywords are treated as .OR., I just need to make search with .AND. operator :(

In last few days I experienced twice some strange issue. Local mission Caucasus with some targets on abandoned field near Kobuleti. https://nofile.io/f/HrgQbzjaOq4/weapon_training.miz When attacking various targets with FFAR Hydra it has happened that immediately after pressing Pickle button the view switched to F2 (F1 refused to work like I was dead) and AV8 started what looked like RTB procedure under AI, i.e. regularly returned to programmed waypoint of landing Sukhumi and landed vertically. AFAIK there's no key command for my own flight to quit and RTB. My stick is Hotas Cougar and for Pickle I had a Ralt Space combo. When investigating I found that joy sends (Ctl Alt Space). It was explained in an older thread https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=35472 If anybody is curious here is the track https://nofile.io/f/H2xgCf58ADU/strange_finish.trk The issue happened around time 8:20:xx. However I'm not sure if it is a bug, I will try to change my Pickle combo and I will investigate further.

There are no KB commands for barometric pressure setting on standby altimeter, only mouse wheel? I'd like to map it on some joystick buttons.

[REPORTED] Jet Blast Deflector rises without aicraft on catapult
latware replied to Alphamale's topic in General Bugs
fortunately risen up JBD is harmless, however it's ugly :) or another example -
My contribution is an offtopic in spite of this thread header should be about 2.5.2.18307, but: I returned to DCS after couple of weeks flying other things and after F-18 release. Two day ago I found that in my MP server list is ZERO servers visible and all connections to direct IP ended up with "server unreachable" or so. Yesterday (as far as I remembered that in times of v1.5 there used to be plenty of servers visible) I cleanly uninstalled DCS World and started to consider the return to v1.5, but at last I downloaded basic 2.5 World and installed it from scratch. My ability to see servers improved. Immediately I saw 20 server. Then I met with friend D3javu on TS and he recommend me not to upgrade/manage DCS World suite manually, but to use a manager. And told me the magic words - open beta. So I downloaded ingenious Skate Zilla's DCS Updater/launcher and downloaded the last possible open beta 2.5.2.18736. According to my meaning these are two important things: update manager and open beta. After update BOOOM - I see over 200 servers and no problem to connect any of them (I hope :) ). So my advice is to save configurations and install DCS World (the last open beta) from scratch :D

No servers showing in Multiplayer
latware replied to TWC_SLAG's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
Now I have the same issue. World 1.5.4.57288.170 on Steam. I can see only about 10-15 servers in MP server list. However when I get an IP of invisible server from friends on TS I'm able to connect and play without problems. I tried to switch off the firewall, no change. The issue appeared some week ago, I'm not sure if with the last patch. -
To the topic :smilewink:: I use 6DOF TIR and no bigger problem (BS1). However without pilot's body it's better, see headless man.:megalol:
-
Try to find it in older posts, I have read it somewhere, it involves driver settings and also editing some config file in BS. Maybe I will find it when I'm home.

I found an error (moderator plse wipe it if known) Подготовка ПрПНК (page 5-3 and next) before editing waypoints one must switch on flight navigation system switch (ПНК not sure about exact english equivalent) on the right panel, this is missing in text.

Nice piece of HW didn't you consider TrackIR or similar device? Or you bet on fixed picture? I don't have a cockpit, just 20" LCD but with TIR3 it's mostly immersive. It should dramatically improve "value added" for you... (well now I noticed you have TIR Pro in your hw list, so simply enjoy :))
