  1. As above plus I already have a nose cutout in my VR headset. I don't need another virtual one. Please provide option to remove this gimmick.
  2. Whilst I disagree with 100% of your answers, the solution is still very easy. Give users the option to turn this on or off like many, many other options in this computer game.
  3. I dont get it. Not asking to do anything with the lighting system. I have been quite happy with it since 2.7 on wards. I just want the option to NOT have the helmet visor showing and the tint applied to my view. I have spent ages getting gamma right. Now if its adjusted for the tinted visor, everything is wrong on the external views and 'non visor' view. I wouldn't mind if it was actually doing something for glare but its a computer screen. When I fly a Cessna 152 with sunglasses on, its for a very real world problem. That problem does not exist in this game so why pretend it does?
  4. Solution is easy. Give users the option to turn this off if they want. I just want it like it was before.
  5. The tint looks totally fake on a computer screen or VR lenses to me. We play around with gamma settings and discuss visibility on a screen ad nauseam and then add this nonsense. You like it, that's fine. Just give others and me the option to remove it like so many other options in this game.
  6. This visor thing being made mandatory is ridiculous. There is now a nose gap visible which adds a secondary virtual nose gap to the actual nose gap of my VR headset completely ruining the experience. The tint is a waste of time as well and also now if you toggle the visor off it just gets pushed up where some other part of the visor is now blocking my view and the helmet sight disappears. On top of all this, when the visor is up, some kind of faint outline of a rectangle is visible in the view area. This isn't real life. Its hard enough to see in computer game as it is compared to real life without the need to darken everything with a fake tinted visor! I get the idea but this is completely unneeded and a total waste of development time. Please give us an option to remove. I hate it.

  8. So about 75% of the best use case for this feature is not going to work. Brilliant.
  9. When ED said that 'save game' functionality was coming, I think most players assumed it would be working for campaign missions as this is the obvious need....or at least it seems to be for a large number of posters on here. I had also assumed that this would eventually come. Are we now to believe that the save game option will never come to campaign missions??
  10. What are current owners feeling about this map now after the recent update? Doesn't seem to have been much discussion around it over the last little while. How does it perform relative to say Syria?
  11. I would imagine all the main players in addition to USA who have or had the J model including RAF, RCAF, RAAF, RNZAF etc would be in the initial set.
  12. That doesn't seem to line up with the video that Wags did when ACLS was released? Mode 1 - fully coupled and hands off until on deck Mode 1A - disconnect AP at ball call Did things change?
  13. Winwing is metal where it counts (unlike the warthog)
  14. OpenXR toolkit, specifically Turbo Mode causes this. I find Turbo Mode is needed so workaround is to cover the sensor.
  15. I thought he was asking about the big red 'dispense' (DSIP) button on the left of the cockpit?
  16. The training campaigns really help improve familiarity with aircraft modules (Iron Flag etc) Harrier training missions from Baltic Dragon is very well done. I would say using the campaign creators (ED could outsource) to create even more 'basic' training platforms would be a good idea. I don't think more 'dumbed down' modules is a good use of time or resources. Starts sounding more like War Thunder at that point.
  17. its just reflections (as already stated)
  18. Weight on Wheels stops transfer from external tanks from what I understand. EDIT- it appears you can do this. See below
  19. Don't understand your question nor what the pics are trying to show.
  20. Has this been reported to Meta?
  21. Thats why you use it in 'fixed' mode.
  22. A few comments: 1) The head strap that comes with it (and for some, the faceplate) is not good. As mentioned above, the Bobo or similar head strap is a must. 2) You really need to run the Quest 3 at the max resolution settings in the Link software and also up the bitrate in the debug tool to get the best visuals, but I have had zero issue with text on displays for the most part after these settings changes and is like night and day compared to my old Rift S 3) On quad-view foveated, you can add your own settings config file which puts the reduced resolution area more 'out of sight'. This worked really well for me and reduced the effect whilst maintaining the performance improvement.
  23. The Bobo VR headstrap is a must on the Quest 3 for me. Makes it super comfortable and great price
  24. Nobody listens. They want to stick with the drama and pontificating. I don't know why you guys bother sometimes. This real world GA pilot is super happy to continue the dream of flying fast jets via your simulation of the F-35A
