The software was too confusing in the end so I just manually assigned the keys within IL-2 and LOMAC. However I am unsure of how to program the MFD to display engine speeds etc. any idea how this can be achieved or is there any programs / pre-programmed files available to do it? thanks
-
I have done that with the IL-2 file which is a .pr0 file, however nothing comes up on the MFD screen its just normal

Hi, I have just brought a new X52 PRO Flight Control System however I am unsure of how to install the different profiles into it. I would like to get it working for IL-2 Sturmovik, LOMAC and FSX. I already have a .dat profile for LOMAC but I'm not sure how to install that. Any help would be great, thanks

I read somewhere that the English boxed version would be made available on January 30th, that's what I'm also holding out for -

That is a highly misinformed post, sure Vista isn't as resource light as XP was but its way more advanced. I use Vista and its the best Microsoft OS I've used in the past 10 years, completely stable with no viruses etc. and it doesn't slow down overtime like XP. The most senseless OS Microsoft ever created was Windows ME, if you're old enough to remember that.... -
what's the next DCS aircraft/chopper game??
-Nighthawk- replied to SEAL's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
The A-10 has been in development for some time now, so I would give it another year (just an estimate) before we see the next model -
It might be the wind affecting the flight, happens to me in LOMAC also, you could also try calibrating the joystick

With the DVD version, does it require a DVD to play if its already activated?

I'm thinking of getting the X52 PRO for Christmas, thanks to this topic I've found out you can lock the rudder, how sensitive is it when your trying to turn it though? Do you sometimes accidentally turn the rudder when in normal flight? (only saying this because it will be a few months before I get some X52 pedals ;) ) thanks

So these are modeled on the real cockpits? Nice work

Would be better adopting ATI Stream as its completely open source unlike Nvidia's CUDA for PhysX. Multi-GPU and Multi-CPU support would require a lot of re-writing for the engine, I think that 1 GPU is enough (a HD4870 does the job easily), we just need to take full advantage of 2 or more CPU cores properly. And I dont want to be bugged by Nvidia's "the way its meant to be p(l)ayed" like I do in many games..

NVDIA 9800GTX+ vs ATI 4850
-Nighthawk- replied to Loaded_Dice's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
What are you on about ATI cards being locked at 25 FPS? I'm currently using a HD4850 and im getting 80FPS+ on high settings in FSX. There is an option in FSX graphics to choose a FPS limit, just check "unlimited" that will definitely fix the problem. Also, if you get one of the ATI cards that have an aftermarket cooler (HIS ICEQ / new Gigabyte models) it runs cooler and quieter then a GTX+. Both cards are pretty much the same performance however, though the ATI card has a few advantages in DX10.1 and ATI Stream coming in 2 weeks. -
So pretty much re-doing the aircraft found in LOMAC, and yes the A-10 will definitely be the next model released.

Free roaming outside the KA-50?
-Nighthawk- replied to -Nighthawk-'s topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I believe it just adds that extra feel to the realism instead of just randomly starting in an aircraft. I would love a game where you start in a mission briefing (instead of reading the text what the mission tells you to do) then go outside and get into the aircraft -
Free roaming outside the KA-50?
-Nighthawk- replied to -Nighthawk-'s topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Damn, so basically the only time you can inspect the aircraft (besides an outside view) is by ejecting and damaging the KA-50 anyway. Any chance of DCS implementing something that allows you to just exit the aircraft without ejecting? Possible in future releases such as the A-10? -
Free roaming outside the KA-50?
-Nighthawk- replied to -Nighthawk-'s topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Oh ok, so after landing with the parachute are you able to get back in and start up and continue flying? -
Hey, just a question regarding being outside the KA-50 after ejected. When your outside the KA-50 are you free to move around anywhere (like an FPS) or are you stuck in the same position? And are you able to get back into the KA-50 once outside? thanks

Q to ED: How many copies sold of DCS and LOFC ?
-Nighthawk- replied to kaos.dll's topic in Chit-Chat
Sales figures are usually only released when they hit a milestone, ie: over 1 million copies sold. DCS wont be selling that many copies so I doubt any figures will be released. -
Who have you tried to contact regarding the activation issues?

Looks very nice, cant wait to fly the F22 model :)
