Same problem here, can we get some feedback devs? Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk -
Folks should stop worrying about airquake and enjoy the 1to1 the flat screeners do not have. Maybe that rotational exercise is exactly what you need any way .... Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

Steamvr implementation with dcs world is not good compared to ha ing full support of the Rift software. Plus steam Vr does not have ASW weather it's the vive or WMR HMD. Which you will need with the 78 percent pixel increase aka same as Samsung Odyssey. Looks great but runs like crap with DCS world. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

Visual id issues is not limited to VR hmd. I have both rift and Odyssey and yes Odyssey is a nice step up in visual acquisition. Also have 4k 55 inch and find it's harder to pickup tgts both air and ground with it. You need to experiment with pixel density. The higher it is the harder it will be to see those air tgts. Just realise all the pancake flyers are using ultra zoom all the time to Id tgts so don't feel discouraged by vr lower res Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk -

Rcjonessnp175 I do same I start steam vr. Then dcs, at that time Razer cortex kicks in and frees up system ram. Also use process lasso like most. I'm on the newest win10 insider build and can say their is some improvement but not allot with DCS. Thinking DCS needs to add WMR support instead of piggy backing off steam VR. It is reassuring to know wags uses the Odyssey as well. Be great to get input from him but I imagine he is many more DCS versions ahead of us. Food for thought Wags and team have you considered getting strictly VR testers? I'd be more than happy to volunteer my time... Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

rgr thats what im currently doing. Sucks but heres to hoping they add all the vr controllers soon...

unfortunately the only VR system controllers that work are the Rift....

rgr, i have correct seat position and also the cougar mfd's in proper spot too. Its the same for me weather im using the rift or the odyssey. But ill experiment more later tonight and see.

Do realize 71 only works for him, his eyes, and his hmd ipd setting. Even if your real world ipd is 71 you will more than likely not be the same as him in game. My ipd is 61 and in order to get a proper sized vr pit im at 50 or 45 depending on the aircraft For me if i have dcs set to 71, the aircraft is litterally super tiny and no way is it realistic for me, and thats because of much different real life ipd and HMD ipd setting.

Lol I can find and track tgts with VR better than my 55 inch 4k tv. Again this all depends on the quality of your eyes and proper settings of hmd . So those who say otherwise WELL again eye ball dependent. Pancake vision is a handicap when it comes to all things of actual flight. And it's baloney to think that 4k 2d flyers are not using the god zoom all the time to I'd tgts. Weather ground or air. Go watch all the YouTube streams and half the time they are flying with ultra zoom on the hud. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

Understanding Pixel Density - Making sense of it
Sniper175 replied to DerekSpeare's topic in Virtual Reality
Not correct, with the odyssey set PD to 1.4 or above and you will see a significant improvement compared to The rift. This tech seems to be person and their eyes dependent. -
Yea their is a performance requirement increase and depends how much PD you do Do realize it's software is quite young and is constantly being updated. I imagine if WMR gets native support in DCS like the rift it will be a much smoother experience Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

Well tune your settings your pushing Mich more pixels. Your head may just be not the right size for it. As I have no clarity issues with it. When I did back to back testing with Odyssey vs rift ya asw is nice but dear Lord the rift looks like ass compared to Odyssey. Also night operations are much more doable with the Odyssey. At first I was going to take the Odyssey back due to no Asw but what I did was use the rift and tune the in-game settings at pd 1.7 which would allow above 45 fps on the rift and then ran it with the Odyssey at 1.5 and I'm in a great place now. Something seems off with pd 1.0 with the Odyssey as I am thinking dcs is running at Rift resolution on the Odyssey at 1.0. Hence why I get same performance from rift at 1.7 pd and Odyssey at 1.5 pd. The reason I say this is from observing the gpu usage. Rift 1.7 and Odyssey at 1.5 have same gpu usage on my system. Either way the image on Odyssey at 1.5 and above is so clear even the mirage is readable. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk
