Just upgraded to 8700 at 5ghz and 1080ti no issues here with deferred and that’s with the odyssey. So think it’s safe to say got to brute force dcs world currently.
I have found with my odyssey that is ASW is better than the rift as long as you dont go crazy with PD. So my rift is permanently collecting dust. Also i just switched from standalone dcs to steam version and its much better and streamlined with the WMR than with standalone. Loads and runs faster on my end.
I have both rift and the samsung. Will say the room tracking is better in the odyssey only issue i have had in fo4 vr or skyrim vr is ya you may lose tracking of your hands when headset does not seem them.
With the odyssey you need to have your room have a good amount of geometric features hence it doesnt track well on flat wall and surfaces.
I think you may be on to something. I dont have a second gpu but when i did i noticed improvements with it being set to physx. Be great to see what your results are.
Ok please for some clarification, does today's stable branch patch only bring it in line to the open beta? Or is the stable now a patch ahead than the open beta?

Nope not contrails. Actual aircraft obviously can’t make out type at that distance but it happens.. matter of fact all the other fellas that I fly with we do an intercept mission in the f18 and I spot bandits way before all them and they are on flat screens.
Weird as I can spot aircraft 30nm away in both the rift and odessey. Actually spotting aircraft in vr is easier than pancake screens for me at least. I run 1.2 t0 1.5 PD depending on headset 16x AF no msaa As it kills fpS
same problem in vr, fix for me was go to f10 map zoom all the way in and all the way out let it fully load when doing so. No more stutters and low fps...
