  1. I am getting 23 fps in the menu screen and 11-15 fps in flight. All maps, all aircraft. Have not done anything else than come back from a vacation and started up DCS and get unplayable framerates. Using a Vive with a Nvidia GTX 1080. 6700K Skylake. 32G RAM. Normally have 90 fps(max for Vive) in the menu and around 45 fps in game. Other games like Star Wars Squadrons and Dirt Rally2.0 do not behave the same. Hopefully ruling out hardware or Nvidia drivers and the like. Like I said, no change in config or anything.
  2. Me and a mate just completed event 05 from the multicrew version. There is a sound bug and menu bug when it is time for the take-off checklists. There is a lot of stutters and text blinking, and it last for the entire flight. Is there any way I can in the editor disable that part from the mission? And can the same be done for the fence inn etc. Basically ALL jester checklists? I as a human RIO can perform all those with my trusty pilot. No need for help from AI. Must say, the rest of the coms are good and works It feels natural too. So that is awesome! Just remove the stutters that occur please. Just hop in a multicrew with someone and test it. You get to the taxi to runway part and it starts and never stops. The pilot has flickering of text the whole sortie. The pilot gets a long list of text from top to bottom with dialog text, filling the screen. As the text is promted very often with sound stutter it is audible and visual and takes up the screen and coms. The Rio does not see that, but hears audio crackling and stutters all the way, same for the pilot. Hope to see a solution where AI checklist are disabled for multicrew Some other details: I as RIO hosted the game on my computer. The same computer that I flew with. My friend joined me and was the pilot.
  3. +1 And to be honest this would make things delightful. Problem is it should not be triggered by the radar beam simply hitting your aircraft. It has to be modeled so you are identified as an aircraft and not ground clutter. And tall order coming here; distinguish if it sees a confirmed hostile or just an unknown or friendly. So we can inside the editor just set that up and have aircraft launch from airbases.

  6. Look. There are a bunch of great artists out there. Could there be a possibility to crowdsource some liveries for our beloved DCS sim? All work has been done, just ask permission from the creator and do a quick standards check etc and push it out on next release. It may not be that easy, but would be nice.   7. 1+ Agreed! We have AI capable of flying and engaging and doing somewhat sensible stuff as it stands(If you leave the aircraft "unmanned" and as an AI opponent or ally). Just jump in any jet and fly with or against an F14, and they do attack and do what all other AI does. THAT is what would be awesome if the jet could do whilst sitting as a RIO. I understand that that would require fleshing out Iceman to react to your locking and radar work. There are lots of challenges with this I presume. It would take quite a long time to develop too i think. I don't know though. This seems to be a quick fix at first glance, but when you think about it, there is much to consider to make this a natural feeling and a good workflow as a RIO with an AI pilot. I am however willing to pay extra for this to be developed.

  9. It is mentioned in the takeoff checklist Bozo takes you through. I have completed the campaign without knowing what that is and how to actually check it. Is it even possible to check in the current state of the sim as it it stands? Haha I feel a bit embarrassed to ask this Please educate me on this, anyone who knows.
  10. I want more of what we have regarding ground crew. We have working ground crew for the CAT, but I also want this same level of detail for startup, taxi to the CAT, and taxi off after a trap. Directed to a parking ending with a pushback in those nosewheel trucks. Forgive me for not knowing the name of those. THAT and the planned elevators that are coming would just be awesome. I know they kind of work for AI now.
  11. I want the ground crew to be visible and connect the generators and ground air, a fuel truck with crew plugging a hose etc. I want to see the ground chief. I even want to have a crewed pushback when parking, if that even is a thing on these fighters.
  12. When the time comes to launch or land, the carrier will jink into the wind and and get back on course when that is done. Sit there and see the boat moving as you prep for takeoff would be something. And yes, this is somewhat of a gimmick. Not important. Still, a whish is a whish.
  13. We have takeoff from ramp, parking, parking hot, runway. All good options. I want to be able to takeoff from CAT (1-4) in an alert 5 configuration. In the F14 we can simulate an alert 15 by setting a prestored alignment. That would basically get you there. But nothing for alert 5. And the additional corresponding crew standing around at the CAT. You can set takeoff from runway and that is...I don't know...Alert 15 seconds, as engine is running and all is up and ready, just do a thumbs up and off you fly. This is not what I am wishing for here. I want an alert 5 option.

  14. Yeah! Same for me. I had to set aside 2 hours so I can read and understand the briefing and complete the mission. Then I was in a comfortable space of time available.
  15. Yes please! Hold back all RIO talk and just have it so you and your buddy can get out there and have fun with this together. As a supplement. And great to hear you are adding two more! Love the work.
  16. Thanks for making this beautiful work of art! I have enjoyed this fully! Yes there are some bugs, however that does not take away anything from this product/content. The only thing holding this back is the natural limitations of DCS itself in its current build. Don't want to spoil anything, so all I will say is that I loved the whole package. For a future wish I would have loved to have "BIO" brief before startup somehow. (limitations I guess) Seems a bit strange to hear "BIO" say you will take the Dream2 departure when you are already en-route. You know what? Limits aside, DCS need the support for Video brief, or in game narrated first person brief in a virtual classroom. Having a character stand there and talk inside a classroom, or on a boat in the ready room. Anyway! Again, loved the campaign. Looking forward to a followup. I would do it all over again, anytime baby!
  17. I realize that fully modeling Cyprus is a lot of work. All I ask for in Syria map is for a low polygon placeholder to mark the land so boats don't run aground near that land. The waters are too shallow there Look, All I want is to raise that land up and have a representation of Cyprus. It can even be all flat. just make a brown flat land, just mark it please. I am sure there is a reason this has not been done. I have no idea why though.
  18. More and more are enjoying training with a squadron. Me, well, I want to get into that space somehow. Have loved playing the ACM campaigns for Nevada. Doing this with squad mates will result in shooting someone down. And yes, the use of immortal and trigger for hit, and the automatic release of smoke is a workaround for sure. The only reason to mount a tracking pod on the outer most pylon is for authenticity. Could it have a function? When you have mounted your CAP 9M or what have you, in conjunction with the tracking pod, it will in some way register when you "lock" a target with its seekerhead and "trigger down", "release" happens an invisible missile does ALL what a normal 9M would do, BUT no impact and no visual cue to it happening. Then it can determine a virtual hit or not and record it somewhere. Maybe even read up a callsign and you are dead, or bordnumber and you are dead. Have a reset lives option in the radio menu and restart. That way all fly out, and all fly back. And seeing that we are now getting more training bombs in blue colour. Can we please have that for ALL aircraft. Kind of thought that a MK82 bomb was an "object" not a per aircraft module. We have blue dud bombs for Fa18, but can not mount them on all aircraft that have the MK82 available. Seems strange to me.
  19. I have used VR in DCS since 2016/17 ish. HTC Vive. I know what you mean by mouse stuck at center and follows head. But for me the cursor is free and I use the mouse in VR to click buttons. The cursor does not move with the headmovement. There is an option for this in VR settings in DCS menu. You do however have to doubleclick the mousewheel to get the cursor up and again to hide it. Holding in the mousewheel lets you "scoot" forward and backward in the seat to aid in placement of head.(NOT zoom). I have no issues with this at all. Am I missing a point here?
  20. I support having ice build up when that is logical and would happen. Does not have to be 100% correct to real life, just a safe approximation. See the ice form, get the inlet ice warning and having to de-ice of face having controls freeze up. Extend the slats and have chunks of ice break off. And yes! I know! DCS is not a commercial flight sim, but DCS is flying non the less Hehehe code intensifies
  21. I don't know what substance painter is. But Have seen some nice easy 3D painting tools INGAME with the car racing game Test Drive Unlimited 2. You could look at the 3D model in game and paint your heart out and drive around with it. And maybe then it would be easier for the devs to produce official paint jobs for more aircrafts and more countries. There is a lot of potential here. And perhaps make it so that in multiplayer that your paint job is transferred so all can see the paint job for your virtual squadron without having to faff with them going to download it manually. I know we as users of DCS come up with demanding dev requests. It does not change the fact that many of these outlandish wishes of ours are anchored in the ease of use or betterment of the product we love and poor money into. I support this idea of yours Scoobyon.

In the ZONE 5 campaign you have your RIO talk as Jester with Jesters voice and the narrated RIO (Bozo) talking with Bozos voice. This drops immersion a bit. Could we please have those features native to Jester? And how cool would it be if Jester called the tanker and held that com conversation for you. Have a field on the Jester radial menu named ''Call'' and as a submenu have ''Call AWACS'' and under that one ''Bogey dope'', ''Request picture'', ''Vector to tanker'' etc etc. And have Jester voice the coms.

  25. Thank you for your answer. I understand what you say about 'having to do so'. Is there a solution where the original aircraft ''hammer'' has a parking spot something else than the coldstart, and direct the clones to park where hammer started? In this way it may not be occupied? Anyway, I understand the lesser of a great deal of evils is the way it is today. I just love this campaign and wanted to highlight this issue to help. Keep up the great work Reflected Simulations!
