  1. Well, I'm prior military, and I find it offensive when someone pretends they are when they're not. And ad hom argument? I'm not "debating" here. I asked a question in a non-confrontational manner and you become pompous and arrogant about it. You're not so perfect either. Good bye.
  2. Not sure if I understand you correctly? The next version is the new one.
  3. Will this get reported or at least fixed in V2?
  4. Is this something you used to do? You're very defensive about this?
  5. It should not go unchecked. Recently in USA there was someone impersonating a police officer and trying to arrest people. It's also a federal crime to claim certain military decorations because imposters will sometimes try get discounts or some other monetary benefit, loans, property, etc.
  6. Tried both HOTAS from Saitek and returned them. Maybe they were good in the past, but the current ones didn't feel right ergonomically, springs were too soft and loose buttons. I picked up the VKB Gladiator and, overall, I'm happy with it. VKB and Virpil have nice equipment.
  7. I changed those settings and decreasing the TFOV limits what is rendered in the HUD. Not that size of the text or spacing. It's not making the speed and altitude scales come closer together. Any information outside FOV=150` is cut off and will not be seen.
  8. Maybe a thread in the bug report or wish list will get some attention? Would be nice to have this modeled correctly.
  9. Yes, because you're in MAN REL and that's not our point. We're talking about CCIP-CR 3/9 and 5 Mil release solutions. A few people have already posted pics. The bottom half of the reticle is cutoff. Go to 0:29. This is what we're talking about. See the full reticle, dashed PIBL and 5 MIL on the left. Now, the bottom half of the reticle is cut off.
  10. The HUD doesn't change its FOV limits( the box) if you move up. Moving up allows you to see all the way to the HUD's FOV limit but the what's actually being rendered in the box doesn't change... I think You have the same thing in CCIP-CR 3/9 and 5mil. Look at you release mode in the vid. When the reticle moves up, it's because your trajectory and altitude turns the PIBL to CCIP MAN REL. From dash to solid. 3/9 and 5mil will change to MAN REL when conditions are appropriate even if selected under the IFFCC.
  11. You're in CCIP MAN REL mode. He's referring to the CCIP CR (3/9; 5mil). The option when you switch the IFFCC. I have the same issue. Half the reticle is cut at the bottom. Also the same on my end too.
  12. I'm trying the opposite approach this time around. I'm not going to search/look at anything related V2. I want my first experience to be completely new when it's released and not know anything about it. Kind of like Christmas when i was a kid. I've spent so much time looking up dev updates on other products that when I finally try it, I feel like I already played the thing and end up not enjoying it as much.
  13. I thought something was different, but I couldn't pin point it. The "DUMP" is missing. Can confirm
  14. That's how it was in the bomber I was in. I could barely see the switches with out the flood light on. Same goes for the 737 cockpit I saw at night. Couldn't see any switches on the overhead panel. Only the back light for the lettering. And flying at night is scary. It's pitch black out those windows. Maybe a few store lights from afar but down below looks like a bottomless abyss. Unless you're around a major city you can't see anything. X-Plane does a great job of rendering proper nights if you want to compare. Aren't there a few real world A-10 pilots on this board? Maybe than can clarify what the cockpit looks like at night. The green floods in game might be a bit brighter in RL.
  15. I think it looks realistic. Seems alright to me and I don't have too much of a problem seeing at night. Sometimes it's difficult but that's how it was in RL too. The lettering on the panels should be brighter and sharper. The fire lights are a bit dim. That could use a little boost. I've been in real bomber cockpit at night with panel lighting on and it is dark in there. You can't see much except the lettering. 16. Incessant blind guessing. Just wait for the people developing 2.0 to tell you what it will be. This is how bogus rumors start. Enough already. Same suite just an upgrade to existing systems and 3d model. More news on specifically what it will be when ED finalizes the 2.0. This has been repeated ad nauseam. Holy moly batman.
  17. Tried it out that seat position. Love it. If only we could lower the projection of the HUD in the game and make it a touch narrower.
  18. Can't find what you're talking about? Got a link?
  19. Ya, that's a cool idea. C.W. Lemoine on Youtube spoke about G-fatigue and not being able to always perform 100% on some days and had to limit the G's he would pull on that given day. Be nice to have that implemented.
  20. Ya, this is true. Crew chiefs prepare the cockpit prior to flight. Those switches better be in the right position or you're getting written up.
  21. Moltar's Sound Mod is a nice touch to DCS. And, if you want, you pick and choose which specific sounds you want to keep or remove.
