  1. Yes... do they work? :D I'm looking at them through the NVG, and I see nothing. I wondered if they actually worked in this mode? It doesn't matter if I look at my own jet or MP.
  2. Hi, I'm not sure, but I think after closing the canopy, the canopy sound fails to stop playing. It can be heard as a high-pitched sound the entire time the aircraft is running.
  3. Thanks! See the attached. Tacview-20200617-072350-DCS-JF-17 - Caucus - Kobuleti - Ramp - Training - MP.txt.zip
  4. Check your electrical looks like the below. If that is correct, then look at my center MFD. See the ASTERISK (*) symbol? That means this display is SENSOR OF INTEREST. It doesn't matter for the menu - the OSB the (*) is next to is the MENU key as well (even though it has no label). Press it, and the menu will appear. Select RDR. It will show the RADAR on this screen in this master mode (e.g. NAV mode). Do you have the HOTAS set up, or know the keybinds for the JF-17 HOTAS functions? It's required to be able to operate the aircraft.
  5. Can you post a screenshot? You are switching on everything on the AAP panel, right hand side next to the battery and engine generator switches? They should all be lit in green.
  6. ...until it is nerfed for being "too good"!:cry::cry:

    F-15E UFC poll

Both, and make it an option in settings to pick.
  8. Interesting! Thanks for the info!
  9. Hi, In light of some people having issues with the BRM laser rockets, here's my technique with the latest OB. I can get 3 missiles off per pass, but note I'm encountering PULL UP after the 3rd one... :megalol: Max missile firing range is around 4 NM from the target, so I suggest you do any set up/maneuvering/aircraft positioning beyond this range. I have had good success with the following profile: Whatever my slant range to the target, double it for the required altitude. If I'm 6 miles from the target, I need to be at 12000 ft. This results in a 20 degree attack angle down onto the target. My IAS starts at 300 kts, and I descend with the brakes out at idle thrust (an advantage here is that the jet is slow enough to find a target, cools the exhaust nozzle, and minimizes IR signature - though I'm not sure this is modelled in DCS). Before reaching the maximum engagement range for the rocket, I'm lined up with the target and stable. As soon as I get IN RNG firing cue, I pickle the first rocket. As soon as I see impact on the TGP I'm picking the second target. At this point you can choose to turn away and set up for a second pass, or if the target area is fairly quiet you can try for a third shot, but it will be fire, PULL UP, and run. By the time the second rocket is fired the aircraft will be heading towards 400 kts. This is a nice speed for escape. Fly away, climb, and set up for a second, third... pass. :D:joystick:
  10. I just tried them in latest OB and now I can get 3 off in a single pass. 5 out of 7 hits on static objects at Sanaki (the helicopters and An-2 parked out on the ramp).
  11. The AA/AG modes are pretty simple once you understand their logic: A/G2 = Any wing tank is fitted. This mode only applies to wing tanks. A/G1 = Any air-to-ground ordance is fitted (NOT including pods or centerline fuel tank). A/A = Air-to-air mode (including pods or centerline fuel tank). There are some other details: A/A mode limits AoA to +27 (max limit); g to +8.0 <Mach 0.85 (max limit) and +6.0 >=Mach 0.85 (max limit). A/G1 mode limits AoA to +18 and g to +6.0 at all speeds A/G2 mode limits AoA to +15 and g to +4.5 at all speeds.
  12. PH Test is...secret. No-one knows what it is.
  13. Hi, Do the NVG external lights work? I tried them but I see nothing?
  14. Whoa... wait... what? JF-17 has an NVG mode for the displays?!

Energy-Maneuverability charts. You must prove your lift/drag polars, turn performance, climb performance, thrust, and fuel consumption, and back it up with actual data.
  16. I think you're out of luck with buttons until they fix it.
  17. I use offline for testing, trying things, experimenting; MP for FUN. @Eldur I'm assuming going to an expensive coffee shop and adding a bunch of extras every time. Can easily hit $8 here doing that. By your metric, it's 2 cups of coffee per month. :D

Oh. Deka already said that they can't share info with ED, which I think already created issues with the SD-10.

You know something we don't?
  20. The last few times I flew with it I had great success! I even set up an awkward training mission with lots of ground threats to hone my targeting and evasion.

DCS has everything needed to add a new RADAR - it knows where the aircraft are in 3D space. Simulating RADAR can be super-complex, or "good enough". We only need "good enough", not to mention the total lack of data on the real units. To get into discussions of RADAR though we're getting into hardcore physics and mathematics (spread-spectrum, frequency-hopping, and signal analysis).
