Last version, first mission with just 2 Harriers. Based on what you say, probably the startup problem is due to me using (cheating) the auto start trick... It was not a problem within the Tomcat campaign (to get OK from ATC to startup after having finished the auto sequence trick) , so I assumed it was the case also with Harrier... Unfortunately it seems that with the Harrier either I learn to startup without tricks, or I wait for the hot start option to come back... Regarding the issue about me being in front... I will restart the campaign and see if this time n.2 will be in front... Is it still needed to modify the mission in the mission editor to avoid issues ? In case of the first mission, which is the .miz file to be edited .? BTW thanks for the outstanding job and the fun you are giving us !

I have an issue with Harrier over Caucasus (Tarawa) as well. Generated first mission and got behind wingman: Tarawa wasn't able to grant start up (always answering "unable"). Re-generated first mission, this time I was in front of wingman, anyway Tarawa was again not granting start up (always answering "unable"). Am I doing something wrong ?

Hey there, I'm getting weird behaviour with H1 (mapped as Trim as I'm using VR) and Jester (WH, no MFDs, with VR). Usually I use the Throttle comm hat to bring up the Jester wheel, then select the command by head movement (VR) and then push throttle comm hat down to select the command I want. Sometimes however Jester becomes unresponsive. It often happens together with H1 not commanding trim anymore, with Jester wheel flashing intermittently. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong: double checked and everything seems installed/configured correctly... -
Thanks to all the suggestions on this thread I'm now good at targeting single targets with Maverick, however I'm struggling in understanding the most effective routine if I want to ripple a salvo of Mavericks. Remaining on the Maverick guidance after firing first salvo means uncaging again and then the designator acts really erratically, while going back to TV requires time. Is there any suggestion about the most effective routine to fire more than one Maverick at multiple targets ?

As I own a Vive, and I am not really interested into existing room scale VR experiences available so far (I just play DCS and Elite Dangerous in VR), I think I will go just for the Index headset, while keep my lighthouse "1.0" tracking system and Vive wands. Will upgrade to Index tracking stations and new controllers just if something interesting will show up, and enjoy now an upgraded seated experience. Anyway, as I see lot of people trying to choose between the full Index kit or nothing... I wonder if I am missing anything that I should consider... Anything wrong in my upgrade path thinking ?

Tried it (without restarting) and I find a big degradation in performance, not on deck but while flying on land with some activity going around me. Could be there's too much stuff going on, however previous missions with previous versions of the campaign weren't so bad on the performance side... Will try another mission later, and eventually I'll also try to restart the campaign, anyway I'm curious if anybody else finds same performance degradation...

Yesterday I had a rough carrier landing... 4th cable. I was still trying to understand what happened when Jester said: "Well... I am Morgan Freeman now and this things goes straight to an aviation museum...". I am not even sure if I understand the joke, but I started laughing and can't stop even now. I love my new friend Jester: him and seeing myself in the mirrors in VR makes the F14 a really immersive experience, one of the most if not the most immersive I have ever had (and I am 50 yrs old, gaming since I was 10 yrs old or so... So I have some gaming under my belt...)... Thanks Heatblur !

Well, after getting really proud of my results in the 2 instant action refueling missions... got back to reality while flying a DCE CAP mission... Tankers are flying in circles, not straight away as in the 2 instant action missions I have used to practice. Writing this as an advice to any other noobs like myself... Back to learning...

No crashes but heavily degraded performance on DCE campaign (both PG and Caucasus): couldn't check before so not sure if this happened also with the wrong numbered release, anyway curious if it's just me...

I can connect and keep the connection without too many problems with the KC130, while I'm having lot of troubles even just connecting with the KC135 (and the few connections I've got, disconnected quite fast). If the experts here says that the KC135 in the instact action mission is going too fast, my self-esteem can go back to stable while waiting to see what happens if I try it with a KC135 going slower (say 250-300)...

As the title says, I'd like to get rid of the stick so to enjoy my HSD in its full glory, anyway even if I disabled it from the Options menu, it is still there (playing on VR, not sure this makes a difference).

One thing I saw is that I have to be really careful and sensitive with my joystick (warthog) compared to other aircrafts. Maybe I just need to correct sensitivity, anyway just stopping slamming it as I was doing with the F18 and start to apply smooth, small pressure helped a lot in starting to kill... MIG28s in that damned instant action mission over Nevada...

+1 DCS in single player is really a bad experience without your dynamic campaigns

Agreed, anyway I don’t understand why the debriefing says that the bridge is not damaged even if on the secon line it list it as destroyed (see my example)...

Tried Harrier over Caucasus and same is happening on first mission: on the debriefing txt I get 2 Bridges with same name and same coordinates. Second bridge is the one that gets the damage, however the debriefing says that the first bridge didn't got damaged. Something like: Bridge XXX YYY (no damage) - Bridge XXX YYY (destroyed 100%) This is on first mission, sorry I forgot to grab a screenshot: simply got back to the F18 as a more hassle free experience.

Did it, thanks: not sure why but OVGME fails to update the missionscripting.lua so I have to do it manually. By the way on the same version (V6) I had 2 Stennis... is this "normal" ? Attached a track with my super carrier group with twin Stennis 2Stennis.trk

Currently flying the Hornet Over Caucasus CVN V2. After ending the 3rd mission I get this error message. Tried restarting the campaign and I get it anyway.

Hi Home Fries, have I understood correctly that in order to have NVGs activated from your profile I have to have MFDs ? If I don't have it, I need to resort back to keyboard shortcuts, right ? As I don't have MFDs but just a Warthog throttle/joystick combo, I'd like to be sure I'm not missing anything after reading the docs. -
I will do it, anyway please consider that (if I remember correctly) even on track the colored box appears depending on the SS setting (above 1.6 = colored box) so not sure if it can be significant... this was one of the reasons I have attached screenshots instead.

So maybe it is related to SteamVR Beta 1.2.3.... Now I am far from my PC for a few days, so can’t check if anything improves by switching to SteamVR “stable”... if anybody else can check good, otherwise I will do it as soon as I am back...

Weird. Did a repair and cleaned shaders etc as well. Any SS above 1.6 (within DCS VR options) privided the big box you see in my second post screenshots. Are you on SteamVR BETA ?

Thanks for the feedback: this means that NVG toggle is only accessible through MFDs am I right ? Sorry but I am using VR and don’t have MFD so if this is the case I will have to use keyboard.
