  5. Try switching to X modulation. If you set KC-130 in Mission Editor with 10Y sometimes you still need to use X modulation <- this is a bug for a long time.
  6. To sum this up: - SP mode is not accurate - the tracking radar state is the best situation to shot HARM - still it's best to shot them from high angle Thx for answers guys.
  7. Hey guys, I have a hard time with HARMs (SP mode in current Open Beta). I found that most of them are falling long (behind the target). Yes, sometimes the explosion disable the SAM but the vehicle is not destroyed. I've tried many tactics/approaches. For example fighting against SA-8: - shot from 20 NM or from 7 NM - altitude around 2000 agl or 15000 agl - speed between 300 and 700 kts - missle release when I'm only searched, tracked, locked by radar or when SAM shot back at me. From my expirence the hit ratio is less then 50%. I'm aware that some missles can miss but AV-8B's sidearms are far more better (around 90% hit ratio). What I do wrong? Any ideas? (I don't want to spam the forum but I can provide screenshots from the missed hits.)
  8. JHMCS "hud" scales with user's fov and since I fly with quite wide fov the numbers in JHMCS are not that visible. (I'm aware that JHMCS is as big as HUD of a jet)
  9. Thx. I tried to avoid this because every "smoke" needs a zone and I want some 14 areas with 3-5 smokes and that makes ~ 60 znones
  10. F-15 is a good start. It's cheap and maybe there will be sale at black friday or x-mas - then you can buy something different.
  11. Hi guys, searched for it and can't find solution or "impossible in ME" response in older threads. I want to create simple trigger: IF red unit dead THEN hide/stop smoke that was placed as static object in mission editor ME don't have such option. But can it be done by lua script? Any help in this?

  15. We are. We are the first official bastion to check the bugs. Anyway - I've noticed that default curves for F-18 (pitch, roll) are changed from linear. Maybe this was changed to make the plane easier for new players that do not know about Axis Adjustment options.
  16. Same here. F-15 is broken but I recreate my bindings. F-18 too - I cannot change some bindings: trim up/down, weapon selector (aamram, sparrow, gun) which are red. I've checked and any button is assigned to that function (so duplicate is not existing). I gave up and did not checked Harrier, A-10C, Gazzelle and Huey.

  19. Hi guys, I could buy Oculus DK2 (for about 120€) but I dont know anything about VR headsets. So is this one would be good for DCS? - how about resolution - head movement (can I look behind) - horizontal field of view - cockpit visibilty (can I read text, mfcd, etc) Should I be satisfied with this one? Or after some days I will recognize probles with low resolution or readability of cockpit buttons? thx
  20. Question: AV-8B (and Mirage as I heard) is not finished while couple of new modules are creating by Razbam. Wasn't be better to finish fully those exisiting modules then making another one? I think it's frustrating for people to fly early access jets and to hear that another will be making in such way. (I'm aware of new team members and the complexity of modules thus the time needed to make modules)

  24. Is there a mod where we could see actual unit/bulding while placing it (on sea/ground) in Mission Editor? It would be great to see how close they are to each other.
  25. Hey, I would like to add that channel Y for air TACAN station gives only bearing to the station without distance and time. If you choose channel X (even if you set it as Y in misson editor) if WILL give you all the info. So it looks like only X channel is working properly no matter what you choose in misson editor. (of course all is set properly on front console and the left ODU console) ghash
