I am currently setting up my Cougar and using the ANT and RNG axis'. I am mapping the RNG to zoom in/out for the TV Shkval and the ANT to change the size of the Target Frame box. Here are the "codes" I am using in Foxy: Zoom_In = + Zoom_out = - TargetFrame_Inc = ] TargetFrame_Dec = [ ANT 2 2 Zoom_In Zoom_out RNG 2 2 TargetFrame_Inc TargetFrame_Dec For the ANT it works fine but for the RNG it does not work properly it only toggles between two sizes for the frame - I want it to change sizes in increments through the various stages from largest to smallest. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Devs said 9 month intervals for each release. I wouldn't be surprised if they released the A-10 on or before Sept. 2009. It would definitely increase the participation level. PS. We need dedicated server files.

Last night I tried the Convoy Hunt mission. I was able to take out three vehicles in one of the convoys before I had to turn and run because of SAM launches. I returned to base in my damaged helo I did have a rough landing which damaged the lower rotor. When I exited to the mission debrief I was accused of Fraticide. I also did not have any red on red kills.

My current emergency procedure is to grab my ankles and kiss my arse goodbye.

Any chance this pdf can be updated with AlphaOneSix's suggestions?

Are random mechanical problems simulated in BS? Last night I was flying along and then I hear something snap with a bang. I go to external view to look around and dont notice anything, but I start losing power and control over the aircraft. I bit the dust and I have no idea why - I dont think there was any enemy activity in the area I was flying either. At the moment I am contributing this crash/mechanical mishap to some kind of user error :doh:

Yes, the manual is very helpful and I am fumbling my way through it. I am currently revising some of the manual such as the weapons deployment, navigation, flight logistics, ect to include the keys that go along with the switches and buttons for these key operations. Essentially making reference cards to refer to during flight. Everyone here has been a big help. :thumbup:

I agree it is well worth the money. Ever since the English release I have been getting my HOTAS set up just the way I like it. I have been on several familiarization flights, practicing take offs, hovering, and landing in precise areas. I have had the sim now for 5 days and just last night I felt comfortable enough to dive into the weapons system. I am about to clear my log and start fresh with an actual mission. Ok, maybe not I still need practice with the navigation system :helpsmilie:

Maybe they can charge a "stand-alone" price and an "add-on price?" If you bought BS then you will pay an "add-on" price - just patching in the needed content, but if you are coming into DCS fresh then you will be paying full price.

I would like to come up with a proper protocol for Rockets and Gun usage. Rockets - is it basically "point and shoot?" Is there a recticle on the HUD that can be used? Guns - same as above? Can you use the Shkval targeting system? If so how?

Uncage the Shkval (sighting system) = o 7. Lower Helmet Mounted Sight = h Targeting: 8. Slave the Helmet Mounted Sight to the Shkval = press and hold o 9. Or you can slew the Target Frame manually over target = ; . , / 10. Adjust Target Frame = [ ] 11. Shkval zoom in/out on target = - + 12. Once the Target Frame is over the target press Lock Target key = Enter 13. Look for the TA on the TV monitor to ensure a proper target lock. 14. Position the VIKHR (Missile) Launch Circle located on the HUD over the Target LOS Circle also on the HUD. 15. Once both circles are lined up a C will appear on the HUD and TV - time to Release Weapon = Space RightALT

Is "Flight Director Mode" the same as "Auto Pilot Direct Control" which is key mapping "Left CTL + A" ?

Trim ? Last night I was trying to set my trim button on my TM Cougar Throttle (BTN T9). While trying to do this I noticed that there were some other trim functions with in the sim. I automatically assumed that the trim command I needed was called "Trimmer Button" which is mapped to Left SHF Left CTL T. I was just reading through the key command pdf file that is stickied at the top of this page that there is only one trim key and that is "T". It looks like I have some remapping to do? Currently I do not have access BS to double check. Can anyone clarify what I need to map to my HOTAS for trimming the Ka-50 Black Shark?

I think there should be a little more to it than just "setting" up a ladder. Who is in charge of making missions? Mission testing? Decisions on rules and violation of rules - a rules commity? trk file reviews? It goes a lot deeper than just putting up a "ladder" or "tournament". Look at the Team Combat Zone and TWL. There is a forum structure and admins for each game represented.
