  1. Yeah, same here, stuck behind the F15s.. Guess I will go practise some more before kicking off the campaign. Don't want to ruin the experience! Edit: Furthermore, after getting through to ATC for startup clearance, and a single check with AWACS, all comms seems to go dead. Tried going to the tanker after taking off all by self, but couldn't contact the tanker, and couldn't get a hold of neither ATC or AWACS anymore either. A Sidewinder got the undivided attention of that arrogant bastard driving the tanker though! :furious:
  2. Hi, I upgraded to Win10, and find my activation key dosen't work anymore. Do I just send a new string to your mail adress provided in the Sound Module Activation ? I probably still got the old activation email, I could attach that one maybe?
  3. I'm guessing you figured it out already, but in case not: Hit the windows key and type calibrate. That will take you to the calibration wizard known from Win 7.
  4. Oh, that is looking real pretty! Is that a panel changer, up in the left corner? That's a pretty nifty idea. And happy New Year to you too Captain :)
  5. Just making sure your pencil doesn't cool down too much :P Merry Christmas everyone :)
  6. :cheer3nc::beer::cheer3nc::love::drunk::yay::cheer3nc: Ouh, ehrm, whoopsie, lost it there for a moment :D
  7. Just had a crash in a KA50 Deployment campaign mission, the one where you have to crawl high over the mountain pass. It happened just as an AT-3 passed by to my right. At least I think it passed me, I saw the smoketrail going past me, no explosion or impact, and then the sim crashed. A gazillion Vikhr's were fired from my wingmen, so a lot was going on.. A tacview of the situation is attached, plus the log files. Logs.rar
  8. Looking good :-) Out of curiosity, do you have any plans for the F15C TEWS and MFD? Thought I read something about it somewhere, but I could have been just daydreaming..?
  9. Yeah, I'm not giving up on it just yet! Noticed I didn't run VA as admin, I think that helped a good bit. Only tried it in DCS with a two-ship flight so far, but it recognized two reliably now. Think I will have a good long deep conversation with my computer tonight, then we'll see :director: Already did the Speech Dictionary thing with four/for, but it didn't have much effect. I suspect my four simply dosen't have enough twang in it, for lack of a better term. When I count one-two-three-four-five-etc it works like a charm, but used in a sentence it always chooses for.
  10. Hm, I've run in to quite a lot of recognition problems sadly.. A lot of goat trails instead of go trail and for instead of four, to instead of two and so on. I don't remember having these problems using DWVAC, but maybe it's better at making intelligent guestimates of what the bozo behind the mic actually wants? I've done alot of training, both using wordpad, correcting the offending words, and reading the MS training. In Wordpad I get the same problems, mixing up four and for and so on.. Mic level is fine, and a recording of myself is perfectly clear, without any noise. A bit bummed about it, as the VAICOM way of doing things, are really neat and immersive, but it looks like I'm going back to DWVAC and my simple profile, if can't get this to work a bit better. Any ideas out there?
  11. Just started using VAICOM and Voiceattack, and its looking good so far. Just have to get used to the syntax, but everything is working it seems. Thank you for making this Hollywood, it must have been pretty time consuming! And a tip for those using the .ahk script for their joysticks; I've changed the .ahk script to use the "hidden" F keys. I think it's something I picked up from one of PeterP's posts, but I'm not sure. Anyway, you can use keys from F13 through to F24, even though your physical keyboard only have F1 to F12. This way you won't have any conflicts in DCS what so ever. Edited .ahk file in spoiler tags:
  12. Just wanted to join the choir, I have the same problem, both in 1.5.2 and 2.0
  13. NVG problems still present in Ver. 1.5.2 edit: Seems there is a similar bug in the Huey, per this thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=155133
  14. Started to fly the Warthog again, and I came across a couple of niggles with Loz's profile. Don't know if you want to have a look at it, but here it goes: The Seat Arm lever is not sync'ed with the sim. ILS on/off turns opposite direction of the sim. And, if I haven't already said so, thanks a bunch for fixing the radio frq's
  15. This is some really cool stuff you're doing! Looking forward to that UH-1H profile, but in the meantime I'm flying the heck out of your KA50 profile :)
  16. I searched the thread for A10C speedbrakes, and read that no data had been found for it, way back then.. I suppose there is nothing new, in that regard? Anyway , fantastic addon, worth every penny! It really adds a lot, being able to feel an approaching VRS or stall, or the satisfying thud and rumble when touching down :)
  17. In the Open Beta and Open Alpha 3Cameras.lua file, there is a section talking about having different viewport configurations for each aircraft type. Has anyone gotten this to work, and are willing to share an example with three aircraft or so? Snippet from the .lua in question
  18. Sounds very exiting, good to hear from you :) I don't know if you have looked much in to what export is possible with other aircrafts yet, but for inspiration, maybe take a peek at what Capt. Zeen have been doing with his Helios profiles. http://www.captzeen.com/helios/index.asp
  19. RDAF Lynx helo's fly with a Garmin aviation gps unit mounted on the glareshield. Youtube link, where you can catch a glimpse of the GPS in the Lynx. [ame] [/ame] Also, I got a lift one time with a AN12, those guys used a standard handheld gps, velcroed to the dash. It looked a bit.. dubious, but hey, we ended up in the right place :) They also had a jury rigged altimeter showing feet, next to their standard metric one, made it easierfir them when flying in the west.
  20. I'm no scenery maker myself, but seeing all the small cities and airfields in Nevada, that hasn't been modelled, I'm wondering if some thought has been given to open up for 3rd party scenery addons? Now, I don't want complete chaos like in FSX or XP, but something centrally administrated by ED, so we wouldn't end up with 3 different and incompatible versions of e.g. Tonopah. It may be difficult to get rolling in a organized way, but it would make a nice addition to a already very good map, and help make it even better..
  21. No, I don't think it's possible for the Huey, hence why I was asking here.. Still keeping my fingers crossed, but as no dev have popped by yet, I haven't got my hopes up high. Well, I'll just stay with the Shark I guess, but it would have been nice with something western. (and light)
  22. On a related note, why is "2.0 Bugs and Problems" a subforum under "DCS World 1.5 Open Beta" ? That does make it kind of hard to find..
  23. I've been wondering if an upgrade is worth it now for some time too.. I ended up upgrading my GFX instead, going from a HD7970 3GB to a Sapphire R9 390 Nitro 8GB, and keeping the i5 2500K @ 4.4Ghz for now. The R9 gave my FPS a real nice boost, and with FPS capped at 40, DCS is now running very smooth and stable. Oh, and thats with a res of 5910x1080. But anyway, I guess I'm still wondering about that CPU upgrade, hm..
