  1. Looks like the wait was worth it. I'm not disappointed. Gotta start thinking about selling my Warthog.
  2. I feel like EU is getting (pardon the pun) short end of the stick. It's 120 USD for US customers but 142 EUR (167 USD) for EU customers. :( https://vkbcontrollers.com/?product=gladiator-nxt https://flightsimcontrols.com/product/gladiator-nxt/ I know it's not your fault VKB. Bloody EU with it's EUR.
  3. "The DCS: Supercarrier module also includes the Russian Kuznetsov aircraft carrier, the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer, and the Su-33 Flanker D fighter." It's exactly the same plane as in FC3, but as a stand-alone module. You can click "Yes", it doesn't mess thing up, just takes unnecessary extra disk space.
  4. Make sure the file structure is as follows: ...\Liveries\Mig-21_CP\BBC CCCP\*.* (extracted files inside a single BBC CCCP folder inside the Mig-21_CP folder)
  5. For me to upgrade my TM Warthog: WW base + TM adapter + shipping = 270 USD + possible tax = around 330 USD Virpil WarBRD base + shipping + EU tax = 255 EUR = around 296 USD Any extra WW items, like let's say the mounts, increase the shipping cost but quite a bit. Virpil seems to have a more flat shipping costs. I don't know guys... Still not convinced.

  8. I love your tutorials. Keep 'em coming.
  9. Yes, Mig-21 uses differential breaking. Not sure what the problem is, just press and hold the lever on the stick (W key or an axis) and turn the rudder pedals in desired direction (Z,X keys or an axis). The pressure reading drops on the gauge on the bottom front panel, behind the stick, just like in the description.
  10. Quote from Steam FAQ link: To do this, on the DCS website, on the profile page, find a special Steam account block please use the link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/personal/profile/ 1) You need to link the Steam account to your DCS account. After clicking on the "BIND" button, you will be redirected to the Steam website, where you must log in and agree to share publicly available information from your profile with us. 2) After logging in to the Steam site, you return to our site and, if successful, the "GET LICENSES" button will be available. Click the "Get licenses" button. 3) As a result, you can obtain a list of the products whose licenses that: 1. Already have a DCS account (Steam or not Steam) 2. Can be transferred to your account from Steam 3. Can not be transferred because they are in different types of protection 4) Click the "Transfer licenses" button. As a result, the licenses available for transfer will be bound to the DCS account.
  11. Indeed. I was very impressed with this. 20 missions but with 62! variations. Way to set a bar.
  12. You must have misunderstood me. I wasn't trying to make it a "who's got more modules" contest. What I'm saying is that atm we're both ED customers but with subscription model ED would lose me as a customer who bought those modules and campaigns. That's my argument.
  13. ^ Pretty much sums up how I feel about it as well. I own 7 modules and 3 campaigns. If DCS was subscription based I wouldn't even try it in the first place. So one less customer. How's that for an argument?
  14. After reading through the thread I see some valid points on both sides of the argument. But for me personally the bottom line is that the "trainer" tag on those modules is a wasted potential. I own L-39 + Kursant but I can't see myself buying C-101 (such a lovely cockpit but barely any training missions) o̶r̶ ̶Y̶a̶k̶-̶5̶2̶ ̶(̶a̶p̶p̶a̶r̶e̶n̶t̶l̶y̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶"̶c̶a̶n̶d̶l̶e̶l̶i̶g̶h̶t̶ ̶v̶i̶g̶i̶l̶"̶ ̶s̶t̶a̶t̶e̶)̶ or recommending it to new players. They might as well buy the Hornet as it is FBW, versatile and properly supported. Sorry for off topic, I will shut up after this post.
  15. I absolutely agree. At the moment they don't really serve their training purpose. If someone wanted to buy it to learn the basics then there needs to be way more training missions or campaigns or as an alternative what you propose would be great.
  16. "Please note that this module is currently only available in DCS World Open Beta." Maybe this has something to do with it?
  17. Just this Wednesday I was on the same bandwagon of "it's just like flu". Yesterday I went to the doctor for an unrelated reason. Doctor works for the Ministry of Internal Affairs so apart from ordinary patients she treats Police Officers and Military Personnel. I don't know guys... They didn't seem to F around. Still short of "Hazmat suit" serious but they had everybody washing hands, putting on masks, etc. and up until that day we had only about 30 confirmed cases (38 million country).
  18. No difference between aircraft but FC3 comes with training missions (flown in Su-27 and Su-33). I'm not 100% sure but you might not get those in standalone aircraft unless you specifically buy those two.
  19. Turn on pitot tube heating on the left hand panel (next to the flight recorder switch).
  20. I have the 5700 XT and it runs DCS and other games with no problems. It's a solid card. For your specified settings you will get above 60fps easily.
  21. I got my AOC CQ32G1 for around 365$. 31.5" 144Hz 1440p VA Freesync. Best value for this specs in my country. I specifically shoped for 144Hz after experiencing it on someone else's computer. It's just so much smoother. You can't unsee it. After that my old 60Hz felt like a stop motion cartoon. Also wanted Freesync since I can easily see screen tearing but some people don't seem to be bothered by it. For me resolution was secondary and I was on the fence between 1080p and 1440p. With 4k monitor you might need to downscale to run max settings even with 1080Ti (not sure about this, maybe someone can confirm).
  22. Personally I feel 16 GB is enough. But if you really want to upgrade, go for another 2x8. Just make sure it's the same set. Keep in mind that DDR5 comes out in like two years.
