Well I don't know what's causing it hence posting here, what I do know is that this is the only program that does this, and many other people in this thread are having the exact same issues as me with DCS. With many different types of configs, on that alone I would say it's an issue with the software/engine somewhere.

Ok I've been doing some more testing tonight and I had some luck changing the G-sync setting in the driver from "Run in Full screen and windowed mode" to "Run in Full Screen mode only" I now have nearly no black flickering , I do still however have quite a lot of random stutters despite having consistent high fps over over 70fps and preload set to max with 64GB RAM installed. (Just tested this in Single player as this was on one of the servers I host from the same connection I was playing on and the stuttering was vastly reduced so I'm putting the stuttering down to Network primarily 300Mbit connection also running 3 server instances. Seems to definitely be related to the refresh rate and how DCS renders that some how, but I'm not sure its G-sync as AMD users are having the same issue in here!

turn on Disable menus in the Vaicom pro settings.

Yeah I have the same headset I was using before when it was picking everything up clearly, It's not "great" but like i said it was the same one i was using when I had it working. Corsair Void.

Not sure what I have done (apart from changing my speech engine language from English US to English UK; I'm a native Brit so I assumed using the UK voice engine would help) My accent hasn't changed, speech engine has. VA and VAICOM are really struggling to hear me now and this is the weird part, for only certain groups of commands. Like the f10 Menu commands. Sometimes it will recognize but only with like a 45% and lower "confidence" level. i guess my question is this : What actually makes the accuracy better?, is it doing the Windows built in Speech Engine training (which i have done about 10 times now on both the US and UK engine) or is it solely training the phrases in Vaicom/Voice Attack. This may be a stupid question, but I noticed the Tacan Tune command is part of the AIRIO extension. I was just wondering if it is possible to set this up for other modules such as the F18 for example and if it is , how would I go about configuring it so that if I were to say: Tacan, Tune X-ray, Xero, Four, Three. Then it would automagically tune my F18's radio to the tacan station 43X Is this possible in modules other than the 14 at present? Thanks Martin

I have one question. Is it possible to successfully use this program to manage mods on my server (I run 3 instances from a batch file each having their own Saved games folders as follows : Instance 1, Instance 2 and Instance 3. If this is possible it would make management of all my mods over all three instances so much easier, atm I just installed the mods in the correct folders in the save games folder for each instance , but for troublshooting and bug fixing (say if I had to record and send an unmodded track file to ED for eg. Its a massive PITA to manually unistall all the mods one by one etc) thanks in advance.

If you are talking about a light flickering at the top of the screen that can be resolved by ALT - ENTERING as soon as you get into game. The black boxes flickering was definitely being caused by GFE for me. Do you have any other Overlays enabled such as the Discord overlay etc!

Not sure what to tell you guys, I've run all three maps that I have without this issue since doing the above. (PG, Causcaus and NVD) only other thing I can think is if you were not doing a complete driver removal with the Display Driver Uninstaller program from within safe mode!

Fixed my issue. Geforce Experience was causing it. Did a clean Install with DDU WITHOUT installing the GFE and low and behold the black squares flashing has disappeared.

The plot thickens with my flickering issues. On a hunch I tried running the game in windowed mode to see if it would flicker (at this point I wasn't just getting the weird black flickering that I posted in the below ED forums post) but I could see a light bar flickering at the top of the multiplayer server selection window. I changed my regular 3440 x 1440 resolution to 1080p and ran in windowed mode. All signs of flickering has dissapeared. Still not ideal as it hasnt fixed the issue, I though I would pass this info on to the devs though.

G-Sync was the culprit for me I completely Disabled it and ran the game again. All my flickering seems to have gone whilst playing DCS , now I have to see if I can re-enable it for my other games and just disable it for DCS. Come on ED support GSync officially. And I take all the above back. Been testing for a while now. Gsync off (WHITE light on my PG ASUS UWS MONITOR and still getting the flickering. So frustrating.

So I tried putting the sea on low and this was my result: I'm running the latest open beta, latest NVIDIA drivers a 2080ti an ASUS 3440 x 1440 100hz monitor 64GB RAM Core i7 5960X WD NVME SSD. I have also tried to use rtss to limit my framerate to 3 frames below the monitors refresh I have enabled gsyn and vsync in the nvcp and disabled vsync in the game. Nothing I'm trying is fixing this issue. Glad I'm not the only one having this though. Please look into it ED.

I'm still having this issue in 2.5.5.34864. I've tried G-sync on and off v-sync on and off, all the cockpit resolution modes. Dynamic weather on weather off, I've disabled all background apps and still no luck it appears like a black box in the background or boxes that flashes quickly through then disappears rapidly. Will post video of it later tonight. Need to do more testing but I believe it was the discord Overlay causing my issue. Disabled it and i think its stopped. Nope still flashing. Boo.

You sir are an absolute genius and have just saved me about 3 hours of work I out into that mission. Deleted the trigger and it worked perfectly. Thanks again. MM

And then what ? Audibly say f10 then f3? So I setup a workaround where I configured manual commands for each f key.... Much easier than pressing the keys each time, still not as intuative as the rest of Vaicom pro.

Hi there just had a stupid question from a newb, is there a default voice command in vaicom pro to bring up the "/" menu then f10 then f3 so I can see a list of all the currently based targets in my TTI mission I understand that they are already auto lased in those missions, but just to bring up the list of them , like u do when u say "request picture" ? . Thanks in advance . I've tried "request tasking" "what is my target" and all the others in the manual to no avail, When I say any commands involving the JTAC In this particular mission all I get in the voice attack window is "There are currently no JTAC recipients available". I have also tried setting my f18's radio to that of the drones flying around but still no dice. Thanks and sorry for the newb question, great program btw.

So this is the best I managed to get it set up, I've tried everything I can think of to get the kneeboard moved over to the left of my second screen but no it just wants to stay there. Still it works though.

Yep tried that also, I don't believe this allows you to move the KneeBoard to a second monitor, just to move it around the single display. I will include some screenshots of what my displays are doing right now, I'm pretty sure I have the viewports messed up somewhere....

You don't have any of those set up to display the knee board on another monitor though do you. THAT's what I'm trying to achieve.
