Yeah I'm at a complete loss I've tried everything I can think of to get it to work on my new install but no joy, commands get recognized by the application but then straight afterwards i get the error .... awaiting additional input, I hope someone finds a solution soon. I also just realized that both VA and VPRO have methods built in for backing up both the profiles from VA and the settings from VA along with being able to export settings from the VA one too.
-
Yeah I copied my entire AppData + Documents folders over so was hoping the settings would carry over but clearly not. Also I copied the Vaicom pro folder in the prog files x86/voice attack/apps vaicom pro over too, im at a loss with this now, please let me know if you figure it out!

Hi there wondering if anyone can help , I have recently reformatted my PC, and I am wondering EXACTLY what I have to copy from the old PC (still have a disk image of it) to the new PC AFTER I have reinstalled and activated both VA and V PRO, I have got the profiles transferred over but for some reason I cannot get the new PC to import the f10 menu and therefore I cannot use voice commands for the f10 menu. I have copied over the vap profiles and the vaicom pro folder in the apps folder. I still have the working copy on the old machine image which I have fired up in an old machine. Any help with this is much appreciated DCS isn't the same without Vaicom Pro. Essentially what I'm attempting to do is make the Vaicom Pro and the Voice attack installs on the new PC function EXACTLY the way they do on the old PC. Wish there was an easy backup and restore method for all settings/profiles. Thought I'd include some screenshots , these are the results when i say they command "request rearming" respectively. DCS was not running at the time i just wanted to see if the application was behaving the same, Capture 1 is the "good install" Capture is the one that isnt working, fwiw on both machines once in game Vaicom does detect the unit I'm in! Thanks in advance.

I managed to fix my issues it seems to have been related to mods I had installed (isn't it always lol) removed the mods and the servers started working great again! Thx As for the instance names I believe I had to edit the batch file to make sure all the switches were entered correctly.

Jagged edges (and possible solution)

Works great on 21:9 ratios too at 3440 x 1440. -
Hulk dude you CLEARLY dont understand what the issue is. Maybe stop replying if you can't figure out what EVERYONE else in this thread is saying. It's clearly an issue and you coming in here and saying "works for my setup" isn't helping anything or anyone. This will be the last reply I will post to you because you clearly cannot read or perform simple comprehension.

I've noticed that the individual instances are no longer names with the write directory's name and are instead just named DCS is there any way they can be named the name of the dcs instance so you know which application is which instance?? By instances I mean the little white server window when you have --norender set.
-
Well it appears the issue was mods that were installed on the servers. Removed said mods and now the servers are loading nominally (they are much more sluggish than they used to run) but yeah I can highly recommend removing your mods from your servers!
-
I have uploaded the log and the batch file (in *.txt format) for one of my instances. I have changed the width and height and that doesnt change anything the issue isnt that the resolution is wrong its that the servers dont successfully run and they dont even use the correct instance folders. dcs.log ALL DCS Servers LOOPED RESTART.txt
-
My options file hasn't changed. and its that the servers never load the resizing of the window is a side effect. I've noticed it no longer seems to be launching my instances and instead trys to just launch a DCS instance and not as it should be using the --w instance_1 --w instance_2 --w instance_3 etc etc Like I said prior to 2.7 this setup was working perfectly now I cant launch my servers.
-
I'm having similar issues with all 6 of my dedicated servers that were running perfectly in 2.5 (just this morning in fact) I run all 6 with a batch file (which I can upload later with logs from my servers (I'm at work ATM). I used to get 6 smaller little windows whilst the servers were up with white screens as I run in --no render mode I also run --webgui and --sever modes Now when I launch the batch file they are extremely slow , they attempt to load then I just get one larger resolution black window that is a bigger resolution than what I have it set to in the instances autoexec.cfg file.

Not the point . Read through both threads carefully. This is an easy fix for ED to make and its affecting multiple users. If you cant understand that the onus isn't on me to convince the minority its an issue. Our point its it would be nice for ED to acknowledge its an issue instead of ignoring it. The cause has been explained many times in both this thread and the other one linked in this thread. It's NOT THE TDC DEPRESS THAT ISNT WORKING ITS THE SLEWING OF THE TRAPEZOIDS JESUS MAN!
-
Yes I'm well aware of that, but the way I have my warthog setup I cannot SLEW whilst in A/G radar mode which you are supposed to able to. This works flawlessly on the MAVs AFTER they implemented the option to DISABLE realistic TDC slew for the mavs. They need to implement this for the AG radar the same way it is implemented for the MAVs. It has been explained many times in this thread and the other one by myself and many other warthog users! The issue we are having, to spell it out for you is that we CANNOT SLEW they A/G radar in its current implementation at all. So we basically cannot use the A/G radar AT ALL.
-
Yeah check the other thread everyone posted in. there was an update in there . They don't care what we think and it works the way its supposed to was his general (and wrong reply). He also basically told me the same on discord when i tagged him a while back. Its blatantly an issue and one which should have such an easy fix as they have already implemented it on another weapon. Especially as u cant slew two SOI at the same time. No reason for them not to port the turning off of realistic tdc slew to the ground radar from the mav SOI. He seems to think that its fixed. LOL Last post on the linked thread quotes the big man himself saying "I have checked again today, all seems to behave as it should for me. I have asked other testers to check also. " LOL.

Tacview, the ACMI for DCS World – Official Thread
Badass1982 replied to Vyrtuoz's topic in DCS Modding
Here is my latest log. I just had a friend check and sure enough he was on my server and showing up in the web gui but as soon as i checked the tac files folder he has no tac file! Here is my log file. dcs.log The files are being stored on the clients PC , but that obviously has nothing to do with why the server isn't recording them though. Well that's strange. The guy I had testing it (Viper) didn't get any tac file created but then two other guys just joined and it created a tac file in each of their names) Hmmmm -

Hmm curious @BuzyBeeIt seems to only be saving tac view files for my client now, not other people who jump on the server! -

Tacview, the ACMI for DCS World – Official Thread

Hi Guys I'm having a brain fart kinda day. I'm running Tacview on my servers and almost everything is working correctly however when the program/plugin saves tracks on the server its saving it as a full file and not an individual file for each user. Now I run these instances as dedicated servers WITHOUT GPU's in them, so whereas i would normally just enable the option to "create file for each client" in the tac view options in game, I'm unable to do this on my servers , is there a way to enable this feature via lua in option.lua or something ? thanweirdly and ks in advance. Martin Heres my options.lua as you can see the tacviewRecordClientsSessionEnabled is set to True however the files that the server prodices are named weirdly and they dont appear in a seperate folder for each user: ["Tacview"] = { ["tacviewAutoDiscardFlights"] = 10, ["tacviewBookmarkShortcut"] = 2, ["tacviewDebugMode"] = 0, ["tacviewFlightDataRecordingEnabled"] = true, ["tacviewModuleEnabled"] = true, ["tacviewMultiplayerFlightsAsClient"] = 1, ["tacviewMultiplayerFlightsAsHost"] = 2, ["tacviewRealTimeTelemetryEnabled"] = true, ["tacviewRealTimeTelemetryPassword"] = "", ["tacviewRealTimeTelemetryPort"] = "42674", ["tacviewRecordClientsSessionsEnabled"] = true, ["tacviewRemoteControlEnabled"] = true, ["tacviewRemoteControlPassword"] = "", ["tacviewRemoteControlPort"] = "42675", ["tacviewSinglePlayerFlights"] = 2, ["tacviewTerrainExport"] = 0, The files are names like this : Tacview-20210124-115321-DCS-Operation Clear Field v123 CTLD.zip and as mentioned previously they are not stored in a folder of the individual user/pilot/client.
