  1. If you are going for the full align you may as well wait for the status to reach 6. according to the manual you can go to Nav at 40 but the system will potentially have 4x the error rate that 10 would have, 20 would be 2 x the error. 10 is the best a stored heading align will give you but you’ll get to 6 on a full align (0.6 x the error of 10) im not sure if this is even modelled but FYI
  2. Me too, it’s crippling this aircraft for me as a mud mover
  3. On a related note I have found that after entering a new steerpoint on the DED the auto pilot will not recognise it until I select another steerpoint momentarily then switch back to the new one. Also if you use the Stored position alignment it’s all done within 2 minutes. Not sure if you still need to enter the co-ords after?
  4. It is probably as suggested, your mouse is not in the game focus. I tried to play full screen (Alt+Enter) my mouse is actually still constrained by the original window size so I can’t even move my mouse left or right of the original window, I don’t even get an out of focus alert. the best way to avoid this situation is to move your head more so that the switches are more central to your game window (view)
  5. In VR I really like the clarity of the HMCS (albeit on one eye). Is there a possibility that we could use the same clarity for the HUD as after using the HMCS the HUD looks blurry and cartoon like compared to the HMCS?
  6. I too like to try and understand what it’s likr to be actually in the cockpit (without Gs) so I tilt my racing chair back about 35 degrees and find myself contorted in strange positions trying to look behind. It’s hard to do and I have actually hurt my neck in the process and a numb thumb and forefinger... I wouldn’t have it any other way. I have a CV1 still and love it.
  7. This, I have a racing chair and recline to max for the F16. Just hit re-centre when I’m position.
  8. The only way I know of is increasing Pixel Density in DCS and/or using oculus tray tool to fix the PD/supersampling there too. What PC specs are you running? I get pretty good results in the F18 running 1.4 in DCS and also 1.4 in OTT. I probably don’t need to set both but frames are pretty good and I can read everything in the DDIs fine. CV1 also. Edit: I just re-read your post, sounds like you need to play with anti aliasing too, I can post my settings later if it helps and my spec is: Z390 MB i7 9700k @5Ghz 16GB DDR4 RAM @3000 GTX 1080 DCS on an M.2 SSD
  9. I even created a night takeoff and refuel just to enjoy the lighting, awesome to see the sun come up and watch the shadows slowly move across the cockpit in VR whilst refuelling is epic.
  10. Yeah I have read elsewhere that the pitch trim is very sensitive on the real plane so I’m happy with how it is implemented. As discussed here in several posts Pitch trim is only used for landing if required, I have read elsewhere the same and that you use some Pitch trim to fly the 13degree AOA approach to relieve pilot workload (stick pressure).
  11. Just a very quick track showing returns as green circles only, these ones were on the ground but this is what I always see... IFF no mode 4.trk
  12. As far as I remember so do I, I’ll recheck later.
  13. Some good tips there thanks, now I don’t need to break my neck looking at the right console. I wonder how difficult it is for real Viper pilots? Is it just a case of muscle memory and not actually looking at some switches? Edit: yes VR zoom is very useful when using the IFF on the FCR amongst other things like reading the mode of the EHSI although that is done with crossed eyes :)... Rift CV1 here...
  14. He means the MDS/LVD switch which powers on the Tacan system I believe.
  15. Turn on MDS LVD (lowest switch on RHS of Right Console), enter T-ILS onto ICP to display on DED, nudge down until ILS freq is highlighted and enter frequency to two decimal places followed by enter, nudge down to chose and enter the course followed by enter, set EHSI to PLS/Tacan, as mentioned ensure ILS volume is not off and check on the DED that ILS is ON. After that get yourself somewhere near 10Nm from the runway at about 2500-3000 ft AGL to be somewhere near the glide scope.
  16. To answer your question but relating to the game only I open the mission in the editor and look at the loadout tab and adjust as required/ desired. The loadout tab will give you empty weight and fuel weight plus the stores you can workout by adding them individually.
  17. Pm me if you might be interested in a very used TIR4 pro with track clip (still works fine but I have gone Vr and won’t be going back..ever)? Don’t want much so just cover the postage from the UK and buy me some wines... Probably should have put on for sale section but hey ho.
  18. OK fixed it. I didn't think to check the obvious.. My joystick is not centering correctly in the pitch axis so I have now put a dead zone of 7 in which is the minimum I can use so that the Pitch Hold works. After all that... Please mark this thread as No Bug Thanks for the help
  19. Great! I’m not going mad... I’ll take a look at your track later as I’m not at my PC right now. So is this still a bug? It is clearly for me but I don’t know if ED can do anything about it if most/ all others are ok?
  20. Here: 7 minutes long. Tried a couple of times at various speeds at altitudes. You'll see that even when accelerating the nose comes down eventually with any roll. AP Roll Test 4.trk
  21. I fly in VR so not sure what you mean by zoom out? I can sit further back but I have no control of the zoom unless your install is zooming in for you for some reason. How short is it? When I made it and checked it afterwards I flew for about 2-3 minutes until the plane hit the ground. I don’t have much experience with tracks but doesn’t the viewer use their own settings or are my views imposed on the viewer? Cheers Edit: I’ll make another with my non VR executable and try and show the instruments.
  22. Here,,, Level flight 350Kts, MIL power 10 degrees of bank AP Pitch ATT on, accelerate to 607 Kts when I hit the dirt. You are right, this is weird. AP Roll Test 3.trk
  23. Even 10 degrees will result in a slide to the dirt... It behaves exactly like I didn’t even engage the pitch function at all, it’s not like I’m banking at 60 degrees of anything. I don’t know how my install got like this? I updated to the latest version on Friday and it still does this...
  24. I lost my last post so let’s just say it’s my issue and not ED’s and thanks for trying out the issue for me. The speed thing was me trying to explain the issue because for me any bank angle always resulted in a dive. Cheers, now I can get on with it...
