The training missions cover this pretty good. I believe rockets are best fired under 1 nm. It does mention what to use as a sighting guide but I don't want to mis-quote anything here as I only did the training once.

Yes you can. It's about 20 miles. The Hoover dam sits on the border. One half in Nevada and the other half in Arizona. I used to live in Henderson, NV. About 12 miles from the dam. The Grand Canyon is entirely in Arizona.

Part was shipped on 4/13 and I received it today. Not bad considering it came from France. Already had the bad one removed and the connectors marked (2 are the same size, 1 is larger). The wires on the larger connector are very short and it just barely protrudes from the throttle. It took less then 2 minutes to connect the 3 and put the screws back in. Tested all the switches and everything works.

I'm very happy with mine. Although, I am dealing with a sticky China hat issue which I posted in another thread. TM support is sending me the part to fix it. I would have been happy with just a new China hat switch, but they are sending me the whole switch assembly for the right side of the right throttle. Certainly more then I expected. Here's a picture they sent me of the part.

Very happy with TM support so far. They answered all my emails within 24 hrs. They are sending me a complete right side of the right throttle. See attached picture. This way I don't have to send the throttle out and wait for it to be repaired and sent back to me.

Well the lube didn't work. Not that I thought it would. In fact, it has gotten worse now, It sticks almost every time. Let's see how TM support wants to handle this. I've done everything they asked. Hopefully they will just send me a new switch and I will install it myself

My stick is only about 3 months old and I have the same sticky China hat as some of you. Mine would work maybe 3 or 4 times and then stick in the forward position and I would have to pull it back. I sent TM Support a video and they suggested there may be dirt in the switch and said to put a small amount of plastic/metal friendly lube in the switch and see what happens. I haven't done this yet, but will try it today and see how it works. I will post back with results.

I've flown it twice and never encoounterd the Sam's, so I'm assuming the F-16's did their job

I too love my TM Warthog. This is my second. I sold the first one, but after a few months missed it and had to buy another. I have noticed recently the China Hat is sometimes sticking and not springing back.

Mission also crashed on me in SP after calling in the CAP. I'm running 1.1.1.1. Finally had to edit the mission and remove the CAP and the Migs. Ran it again, and just as I dropped a GBU-38 on the target I got shot down by a SAM. Bomb still tracked and took out the target, so it was still a success.

I've had the same issue when trying to download files. I just click on OK and it usually brings up the file to download. Sometimes I've had to do it 2 or 3 times but I've aways been able to bring up the file.

Having lived in Las Vegas myself I know what you mean. But I'll take that over the Northeast where I'm from any day. I've seen some of the most beautiful scenery in Utah, Arizona and Nevada.

I'm usiing the 11.4 drivers and with the HDR mod and 1.1.0.8 the white boxes dissapeared. Don't know why they came back in 1.1.0.9. I'll download 11.6 and see how it goes. Thanks Nate, didnt know the mod was the same for 1.1.0.8 and 9

Title says it all. With HDR on, white boxes are back. I guess it's a driver issue. Hope Nate can come up with a mod like he did with 1.1.0.8

I too had done it for years without an issue, until I upgraded to the 11.3 drivers. What a nightmare. Everything I tried failed. I'm not alone in this. Google "CCC won't open" or "CCC won't open after upgrade" and You'll find page after page of people with the same issue. Like I said, It took a reformat and reinstall to fix it.
