I had the same issue when I updated to the 11.3 drivers. Nothing I tried (and I tried a lot of different things) worked. After weeks of trying one driver remover after another and different downloads and install procedures I ended up re-formatting and re-installing windows and now it works. I'm running the 11.4 drivers and this issue was supposed to be fixed with that release. I'm very skeptical about updating my video drivers at this time.

Not sure it's a driver issue. I'm still at 11.4. My white boxes disappeared when I updated to 1.1.0.8 and Nates HDR Mod.

Tested it on SOFT, NORMAL and HARD. Went to F11 view, again no white boxes at all. Before I would get them every few seconds. Now none at all.

I just flew it again. When I said low in my previous post I should have said very low. I was at tree top level. This time I flew low again, paused (also used active pause) the game panned around in F2 view, still no white boxes. There is some shimmering of some textures but not real noticeable.

I just flew that same mission FREE FLIGHT - AIR START for 10 minutes over the cities. I flew at low altitude, medium altitude and high altitude. No white flashing boxes at all. No flashing of any kind. If it helps, my in-game settings are: Catalyst 11.4 drivers Textures - HIGH Scenes - HIGH Civ Traffic - HIGH Water - HIGH Visib Range - HIGH Heat blur - OFF Shadows - MEDIUM MSAA - 16X (I have "Override application setting" set in AMD VISION Engine Control Center and 8xEQ selected - filter set to "standard" AF in AMD ENGINE Control Center set to "Use application setting" TESSALLATION in AMD VISION Engine Control Centrol set to "AMD Optimized" Morphological Filtering - unchecked) HDR - HARD VSYNC checked Cockpit Shadows checked TSAA checked Clutter/bushes - 0 Trees - 6000m

I do not have the white box issue anymore after updating to 1.1.0.8 and using Nates HDR preset mod. I confirmed this by running three different missions and no white boxes anymore. :) I'm using the HARD setting and running Catalyst 11.4 drivers. Perhaps someone else can verify this also.

I'm no expert and my RL flying was limited to my younger days when I had a student pilots license. I find that in modern jet sims I only use rudders for take off and landing. Other then that my feet are on the floor. TrackIR is probably the best accessory, 2nd only to the joystick.

Having lived in Las Vegas I can't wait to fly in the area. Anyone know how much area is covered?

I had an issue where after installing the 11.3 drivers I could not get CCC to open. After reading many, many posts from people going back years this has been a common issue aftrer updating ATI drivers. Seems to be related to files not being cleaned out correctly by ATI software. After trying every conceivable removal program and different installs I ended up having to do a complete reformat and reinstall of windows. Only then did CCC load. So excuse me if I don't jump on the band wagon right away. I did read where 11.4 is supposed to fix that issue, so time will tell.

Thanks to Mustang for pointing me to this thread. I'm joing the club as I just finished a new build (see my sig) and I have the same problem with 11.3 drivers. I don't want to run the sim with HDR off either so I'll live with it until a fix is found.

You have to check mirrors in the OPTIONS/GAMEPLAY screen

Includes a fix for the AMD Catalyst Control Center install; resolves the issue of not being able to launch CCC after Catalyst has finished installing I hope so. I had to do a re-format and then re-install windows to get CCC to launch after installing the 11.3 drivers. Very frustrating.

I have the download version and I will also buy the boxed version to help support the dev's. Back when Black Shark came out I bought the Russian download version, the English download version and the boxed version as my way of supporting them.

I feel your pain bumfire. I had to sell my original Cougar because I developed bicep tendinitis in my right arm from it. I had to go to an easier stick so I bought the Saitek X52 Pro. Now I have The HOTAS Warthog and I'm hoping nothing happens to force me to not be able to use it.

USB 3.0 is backwards compatible with USB 2.0. On my new Gigabyte motherboard I had to load USB 3.0 drivers to get the ports to work. Do yours work at all? Maybe you need drivers.

Glad the longer loads times are intentional. I just upgraded my rig (see my sig) and they had me wondering if I did somethng wrong.

Look in your trackIR software. Chances are you have right mouse set up to center. Open TrackIR and look on the left side under advanced settings. If its not open click the arrow on the right to bring up the advanced screen. Under ACTION it should say CENTER (If not, click the little arrow and choose CENTER from the dropdown menu). Then look at the KEY box. What is in that box? To change what button centers click on the KEY box and press the button you want to use to center the TIR.
