ugh back to trimming eh? after the tutorials and reading a ton of posts about it. I cannot get it... I will put my aircraft into a forward motion and hit T to trim it to fly that pitch and all it does is slowly start to nose dive... It makes no sense.

how does Auto Hover work? So I fly into the area where I am gonna set up shop, scan for the targets ahead of me so I can engage them, then throw on Auto Hover and it doesnt seem to do anything. If I do somehow get it to engage it usually will "kinda" hover but also keeps turning me to the left so I sit there and hover and do circles...not much use when I want to sit in one spot while I scan for the enemy... How do you properly use Auto Hover to have it set you in one spot. P.S. I have seen it be done in many of the DCS Black Shark videos...

What is this "affinity tweak" I tried a forum search but it tells me my search tags arent right or something...Never have gotten this forum search to work.. Anyways what is the affinity tweak

yep, turned them all on. So basically get to my desired altitude and just press "T" ?

Which of the tutorials covers the "Trimmer" ?

yeah might do that to get a hang of things.. Also I need to research/read about this trim button. I am used to flying planes and you usually have a know to trim the plane out...not a button.

I am just terrible at this game. I can never find any targets, then before I know it I got a SAM comin right at me. So I made my own mission where I put a few us HMMW's in a location where I "KNEW" exactly where they were at...but then I would always ove fly them while trying to lock. I would try to slow up, back up some, then I would go back so far and over correct and all kinds of good stuff. The tutorial for the weapons systems make it look so easy, he flys in slow, and level with hardly any need to bank left or right...basically you could lock onto things without even worrying about the plane flying. Any good tips, or spot anything I could be doin wrong ?

Well I"ve done a bit of Single player stuff and I think I wanna try some multiplayer stuff :) Anyone wanna give it a go ?

Is there a gauge somewhere that shows each engine ?

I had to have done something wrong because I restarted and did a "cheat" auto start up to see what would happen if I tried to take off after that and everything worked fine. I followed one of the startup guides (.pdf file) on this forum to the T...cant figure out what I did wrong, lol

yep I hit page up twice when the engines got goin.

as I kept trying and trying I must have damaged the gear box cause a warning light came on about the gearbox.....then as I kept trying and trying. raising and lowering collective, raising and lowering throttle. Basically goings nuts with them both trying to get something to work.....the lady comes on and tells me "Check Transmission" Like that blew up or something..?

so I get this beast fired up, both engines goin, set all the systems. Then I slowly add collective and yeah I start to sorta roll around, so I add more and more collective until im at max and I realise I am not going anywhere. Still cant lift off :( P.S. What is EKRAN because the lady keeps telling me to watch ekran when I add collective and throttle.

Indeed, now that I can start up my engine and actually get airborner rather than just revin my rotors up :)

OMG suddenly I loaded the game and went to the Axis controls again just to double check stuff...now it let me assign an axis to the throttle(before it wouldnt let me do that) so I assigned one lever to throttle and kept the collective the same, and now they both work! EDIT: Refer to my settings screenshot and you will see it wasnt letting me assign an AXIS to throttle...suddenly, and randomly it let me assign an axis to throttle :)

I am clueless at this point :(

what exactly is "ins startup controls" so I can take a look.

pg up and pg down as well.....pg up and pg down function the same as which ever lever I assign my "collective" too....they do the same thing...thats what makes no sense to me.
