  1. shes like an 18 wheeler. gotta have good approach with either enough space to make sure everything is headed in same direction, or if your turning onto the cat with short space behind it, gotta make the turn when the cat is lined up almost dead center of the tomcat, maybe even a bit further back. need to approach it with the back wheels squared away with the cat. front wheel pulls the wagon, back two line it up
  2. anticipating this one as well. I know its a known issue however the sliding deck issue has been a huge take away from MP. the amount of times i spawn onto carrier and get whacked from the side, respawned on (its distinct cause it flips the 14 backwards off the ship, or slippage. small slipping when everything is stationary but quite a bit of rubber band action as well (hornets mostly rubberband. not sure if they see the tomcat doing the same), and she starts to slip with weather and engines firing up. im afraid of what happens when its a packed deck like its suppose to be. havent noticed it in Single Player, but thats with the standard missions with carriers and AI static craft on board.
  3. Hey guys. ive had a pair of the TPR's for awhile now and wanted to make the tension tighter. do both springs go to the bottom? having a hard time getting a feel for which position offers the most tension. thanks!
  4. hey, what spring position makes the pedals have the most resistance? both of them down? ive been playing around with mine and havent noticed much of a difference...
  5. master arm, a2g mode, its hot on jesters menu. use to try to preset everything thru jester lol sometimes moving the weapon selector, or whatever you have it mapped to, makes the diff too. it shows Hot trig( same as phoenixes) on ACM panel when its ready to drop something. biggest thing is telling jester what you want after you move it into a2g and master arm
  6. hey guys! Ive noticed on startup, when setting the radar altimeter and testing, it doesnt have the same audible sound tied to the 3 sequence press for the warning alarm. I noticed it on f-16 release date, and it still is this way. sure you have noticed or heard the other thing that would be extremely helpful is the ability to map and bind the HUD Brightness, TV brightness and TID brightness to accessories. find myself using these alot, mixed with GAIN when flying in different enviornments. love it, you guys are great. thank you
  7. i have noticed the problems with the sparrow, recently. lots of missed shots completely, with all other targeting aspects correct( or so it seems from the 14 experience) I have started carrying 6 phoenixes now. I have come to really like them in ACM mode, within 10 miles. fire and forget is great, esp if the other craft is having to keep lock. usually its a missle trade off, but i usually am able to evade that first one pretty easy.
  8. hello! Could be double bound. make sure the inputs are only in axis commands, and there is nothing included under the All category for the rudders you have. can just delete the entire category..i think it is clear up top?
  9. pedals are hard to use at first. I operate heavy machinery, and that was the hardest part of the learning curve, being able to use the feet for precise work. it is a pain, at first. but getting use to it, i wouldnt have it any other way. same with the flight sim world. tried to find ways to avoid it at first, but wouldnt go back now that ive been doing it for awhile. gives you the ability to control multiple things at the same time. on the operator side, its hard to be a completely competent operator trying to use your hands to track. same with the pilot side. if you can overcome that hurdle, you wont regret it later on. never used a twist stick but using your feet in unison with your hands is a skill you have to develop.
  10. just recently dropped down to -12 for pitch and roll. thought it would be crazy, but i ended up liking it better than having it at + 12 for pitch and roll. anybody have any suggestions for the rudder inputs? i have the thrustmaster TPR rudders. anybody using these and have any ideas about curve set up?
  11. i agree. not knowing if this is how its suppose to be, or a bug. also when throwing the fuel probe out, i get roll to the right. didnt happen prior

Recently, ive noticed some things about the f-14 that seem to be bugs, but let me know if im wrong about anything. ran updater, then ran repair after the update. - fuel gauge was reading 400 and plane ran out of fuel, on final approach. lol. ive been low a few times, and never saw such a buffer between out and reading 400 on instruments. -Data link seems to be off. radar IFF on the datalink side is slower than plane side, never seen that if using correctly -Data link wasnt showing carrier current location that im linked with. Use to be home plate with slash thru it for current DL Feeder carrier -Tacan is working correctly for a/a and also carrier -Locking targets, had issues with target lock not following actual plane. will hard lock an area that target was previously, doesnt follow target smoothly. Had good angle on him, dont think it was notching. Lock Diamond was sticking on vapor trail behind plane (WVR) Jester AI issues- -His callouts when locking targets are off. When locking Enemy, he is saying its friendly. Vice Versa too. said it was enemy when i had friendly locked. - He was calling out enemy on my six with nobody behind, and seems to be aware of missles and plane action much further than recent. "fights on" was triggered with the only known bandit 80 miles out. -Radio inputs are off, not synced up with proper radio channels. Saw a post on this. radios working fine as long as you manually enter on pilot side. Manual input was not working correctly for Jester, ex tell him to input 132000 and he inputs 124675 -seems to be using radar in a different manner, the cone is wider on standard. when he TWS locks somebody, the cone becomes tighter and looks like it use to look on default. ( not sure if this is correct or wrong, just noticed differences since last time flying) f-14 Is still the Love of my Life. I havent touched another plane since this thing was released. love it to death, and the quality is apparent. Hopefully some of these can help polish this thing up!

  15. i agree with you. most people in this world are usually brighter than most. Hoggit has some good info, but it seems that the GEN X crowd has taken it over. its not the majority, but alot of younger folk who want the world when they get the f-15c. its a large group coming in, but dont have the patience it seems as some of the established folks. alot of the guys here started back in 2008, where alot of the pitchfork peeps on hoggits were just learning how to ride a bike. ill be honest, i forgot why every one was so mad, but unfortunately alot of the anger is on par with things going on in the world today. young hoggiters are ballsy about being rough on the computer, and by the looks of alot of their personal pics, they wouldnt voice an opinion in real life. this is hard work, and its beautifully done. the demand is thru the roof, not based on realistic programming and coding expectations. I think ED busts their behinds, and does a good job on it too. people who are angry act like its their right to get things handed to them, when its more their right to walk away and find something to play. Ive enjoyed the 3 year learning curve, and still consider myself pretty basic on my skills. they are increasing though. its a mature peoples simulator, and alot of the anger is from the younger crowd not ok with what they are/arent getting. not trying to start a fire, or put one out, but ive learned so much from these forums and playing this game and im thankful for that. i was able to put a science to one of my passions and have no regrets about any of it. just hate to see real world anger in a video game, and alot of that anger seems to be coming from youngsters who dont know the real world yet. all you guys/girls rock, even if your haters
  16. hate to see this negativity as well. seems everybody gets along well when we play online together. f-16 will be awesome, even if it doesnt carry 16 missles or whatever else people are upset about. for the time being, get better with what you got! sometimes its boring starting the f-14, but once i get going i see where the consistency is helping. tried flying the 18 the other night but jumped back into the 14. nice to have options. the problem is...i LOVE the 18. lol, just getting better with the 14 is satisfying. good luck to everybody!

  18. Wing sweep makes a hell of a difference. it helps with stability, possibly your curves if they are too twitch at fine control. Ive done both with autopilot on and without. it helps with holding steady i feel like. either way, its nice to try to get a full tank. it does seem like forever before it gets filled up haha knowing the speed of the tanker in relation to your airspeed indicator helps. nice to set up and ride parralel to get a figure on exact air speed, then when your about to hook up you know where you need to be to hold it
  19. you find anything for this? pretty frustrating... never crashed before update on 3/22/19. 3 crashes about an hour 15 minutes in, all same problems. not sure...i have a audio card...maybe try to lower from 32 bit, 192000 sample rate to 24 bit, 44100....Had another game that was having audio issues when it was in the higher quality rate. lowering it changed it for other game, but idk what else it would be related to

  21. I agree.... it is hard. Its hard in real life too. i havent played outside of 4k for awhile, but it does take a bit to see stuff. have no real world experience to compare it to lol. wish I did.
  22. could be the bug that is causing my f18 to act crazy. the higher the wind, the more roll it produces. not sure if it is on all planes or certain ones i thought my calibration was off too haha

  24. with the wind bug problem, might be a little more difficult. but Auto throttle and BALT you might be able to get it real close then trim rest of the way
