  1. Excellent, thanks. One basic question: What will happen to our key bindings every time we get an automatic update?
  2. Same here, some times is only a 2-5 fps lost but usually y get a 10-15 at least FPS lost at external view when I turn on the navigation lights. Will have to keep the lights of in MP for a while.
  3. Thanks, will use it with our squadron.
  4. Glad you like it, I corrected the F-5 Patrols, there was a problem with late activation, they didn't show up in the flight with our squadron neither.
  5. Name: Operation Balck Sea Author: JorgeIII (Aka Tango) Mission type: MP (Can be done in SP but its much fun in MP) Controllable: MIG-21 BIS up to 7 Objective: Find and generate the most possible damage to the convoy of cargo ships on way to the Georgian port of Poti. The convoy is located 100 km south of Sochi, heading east at 7 km / h . At least 5 Elnya type cargo ships where confirmed. No escort ships were reported. Weather: Overcast with rain / drizzle , cloud layer at 3000 m . Visibility : 10 km. North wind , 2-4 knots. Flight Plan: Takeoff: Maykop ( RSBN channel 5) . 5:30 a.m. . Go to course 180°, climb to 2000-3000 m. Keep 800-900 km/h IAS. WP 1: Fly over Sochi ( RSBN 6). 130 km to the 178 of Maykop . WP 2 and WP 3: Search convoy Area WP 2: 100 km to the 200° of Sochi ( RSBN 6). WP 3: At heading 90° for 60 km from WP2 and 100 km to the 160° of Sochi. WP 4 and WP 5: Final Sochi -Adler (Bingo Fuel 700-900 L). Threats: It was reported at least one F-5 patrol flying over the convoy route. Sochi has an early warning radar coverage with a radius of 120 km. Frequency 124.00 Mhz AM (Channel 0). Payload: 2 x Kh -66, 2 x R3R. Fuel: 3700L. Internal: 2900 L + Center tank 800 L. 6. Did you find any problem with the needle that point to ground radio stations? It was working fine (but inverted) before the patch. Since the patch it dosent seem to work. Even when flying over the station. RSBN is selected and in the right channel, distance to the station works but the needle is stuck at the 45 angle. This happened in MP, to me and the 7 members of my squadron who where flying the Mig. I saw this bug yesterday flying in the 104th server. We tested it with Sochi Adler and Kutaisi.
  7. Good news! Thanks Viper. Some complementary info from original MIG-21 Bis English manual (pg. 129): "156. The service ceiling for an aircraft carrying two missiles and climbing at FULL THROTTLE at a true airspeed o! 870 km/h, is 12,000 m (under the standard atmosphere conditions, at an average weight of the aircraft) and 11,000 m with four missiles. The service ceiling for an aircraft carrying two missiles and climbing at FULL REHEAT (under the standard temperature conditions) is 17,500 m, the fuel remainder at the ceiling altitude amounting to 700 L. 15?. When flying for the service ceiling with four missiles attached, the aircraft can reach the ceiling only when it carries a drop tank, owing to higher rates of fUel consumption; the tank should be dropped when empty."
  8. Same here, in most single and campaing missions. Quick, MP and new ME missions work ok. Have only been flying the mig since it was released so i cant tell if all modules have the same problem.
  9. Thanks Tango to pointing this out and doing the tests. Keep this going. I found by myself there was something very wrong trying to climb at military power following the data from MIG-21 BIS export version manual (impossible to maintain IAS and a climb rate much over 7000 m). For those asking or confused (and confusing) there is real, specific and clear data available. Its hard to understand how LN took so long and made this incredible flying physics and didn't get this right. Otherwise the Mig-21 has an excellent flying feeling. I hope its no to hard for them (and don't take to long) to bring the module physics close to acceptable values.
  10. I have the same problem with SP missions delivered with the module, I cant get inside the MIG. I can fly training, quick missions and new and MP missions. Tried opening and saving the missions but still I cant get in the Mig. Another problem, in quick mission intercept I cant communicate with awacs, but if modified the same mission to play in MP and awacs works.
  11. Some nice info from Mig-21 by Alexandre Mladenov: NUCLEAR FIGHTERBOMBERS There were several MiG-21 variants that featured dedicated subvariants with added-on nuclear capability, distinguished by the letter N (derived from the word Nositel – carrier [of a nuclear bomb]) in their type designation. The MiG-21S’ nuclear-capable derivative bore the Type 95N designation; MiG-21SM – Type 95MT (or Type 15N); MiG- 21SMT – Type 50N; MiG-21M – Type 96N; MiG-21MF – Type 96FN; and the MiG-21bis – Type 75N. The nuclear-capable Fishbeds introduced dedicated wiring to enable use of a single nuclear bomb carried on the centreline pylon, together with a control panel in the cockpit, installed on the top of the fixed windscreen frame. The control panel enabled the pilot to arm the bomb, perform its emergency jettisoning and set the desired type of detonation – airburst or upon impact with the ground. The Soviet Air Force’s threesquadron fighter-bomber regiments, stationed in the 1970s and 1980s in East Germany and some other East European counties, had one of their component squadrons permanently equipped for the tactical nuclear role, with the nuclear bomb’s control panel always installed. Ground crews regularly practised fitting training rounds, while pilots practised delivery profiles using standard practice bombs. The nuclear bomb was designed for delivery in either level flight or by the so-called toss-bombing method. The latter called first for acceleration in ultra-level flight at low level to 1,050km/h, then a 45º climb and release of the bomb at about 1,500m (4,920ft), which then impacted the ground some 7km from the release point or detonated in the air at low level in order to deliver a better blast wave destructive effect on surface targets. There was another, more precise derivative of the toss-bombing method – the so-called over-the-shoulder release – which called for acceleration in level flight to 1,050km/h at 100m (330ft) above the terrain and then commencement of a looping manoeuvre. Bomb release took place when the nose went just beyond the vertical, at a 106º pitch angle, and at an altitude of about 3,000m (9,840ft). In this event, after release the bomb travelled on a ballistic trajectory, initially going sharply upwards and then reversing downwards, hitting the ground immediately beneath the release point. After release, the MiG- 21 pilot had 1–2 minutes to escape from the blast wave at full afterburner before the bomb’s detonation, at a distance of some 10km. The RN-28 bomb was the main nuclear weapon carried by Soviet tactical aircraft in the 1970s and 1980s, superseding an earlier design known as the RN-25. A low-yield weapon, the RN-28 was equipped with a programmable control unit that allowed the type of desired detonation – airburst or upon impact with the ground – to be set before take-off, while the bomb’s yield was adjustable between 1 and 10 kilotons.
  12. Same here, I cant send a track from my office now. Visually, from the external view, only the right one activates. Its feels like a quick and powerfull kick, the plane shakes but I cant say its an asymmetrical force so maybe its just a visual bug. If not It will be grate when its fixed and the JATO power doubles!!
  13. Anybody knows how to jettison the CENTRAL fuel tank?
  14. Thanks Cobra for the update and open communication, its a big difference from what we are used to with ED. The MIG-21 module is EXCELENT, probably the best of DCS World. Waiting here for the FPS jump so we can use it in MP, bring on that patch.
  15. Please fix this ASAP! My FPS went from 50-60 to 18-20. Its worst in MP. Many pilots on our squadron couldn't even fly it online, they had les that 10 fps with 7 migs on the airport. Anyways its and excellent module.
  16. Im a Backer I dont have a Key. This is bad people, after so many delays and LN team not giving the early access we paid for. I was suspicious this could happen. And this probably is what is looks like, a move to force anxious bakers to buy another key. For what? A maximum of 300 backer and $15,000? SHAME ON YOU LEATHERNECK, you wont have a cent from me again as a baker, no mater what excuse you come with!!
  17. They fall out automatically at certain sustained G (over 5G) or the weight just rip of the pilons?
  18. Thanks Jive, very illustrative video!! And excellent Huey landing with your mate there!!
  19. If I remember right the second afterburner use is limited to 4 minutes continued use and can only be used under 9,000 meters. I should check the manual to give you the right numbers. But even so you couldn't use it to much longer, you will run out of fuel...
  20. I would guess ED gets around 50%, no les than 30% and no more than 70% of third party products. Some more intelligent guessing: LN should sell around 5,000 to 7,000 copies on the first year, without being to optimistic ($200,000 to $350,000 to split with ED). Why? There are around 50,000 ED Clients: There are 53,800 members in the forum. There must be around the same number of actual clients and there are much more potential clients to come. Since the new ED shop order numbers ED had sold over 70,000 copies of products (over $2,000,000 if the average price is $30). Check order numbers in your modules. This doesn't take in account products sold on Steam and with the older system. Over 12,000 TM Warthog Hotas joysticks where sold (this info is only from their serial numbers). Most of buyers would be ED clients. If 10% DCS clients have a TM Warthog then total ED clients are 120,000. If 20% have a TM then total ED clients are around 60,000. (I don't think that more than 20% of DCS users have a TM ). Numbers ad up both ways, ED should have at least 50,000 to 100,000 clients. There is no way no know how many ED clients will buy the Mig-21 but I will guess that at least a 10% to 15% of us, ED clients, will buy the Mig within the first year. Thats 5,000 to 15,000 copies. Taking in account future discounts lets say that the average price is $35. That gives you $125,000 to $525,000 in sales. Best case scenario over the years: $3,500,000, If total ED clients are 100,000 and the 100% of them buy the Mig. Im jut guessing but Im quite sure they are going to sell much more than a few hundred copies. Good luck LN!
  21. Nice (but short) video YoYo. Do you have more info from the delivey graph you posted? It isn't in the english manual for the export version of the Mig-21 BIS. I would like to know the distance values for A and B and the velocity of V. Thanks. @WinterH: good options!!
  22. Or leave it, maybe limiting its quantities. It will take strategy, cooperation and a lot of luck to get a MIG-21 in position to deliver a tactical nuke, bypassing more modern jets in the air and air defenses. YoYo do you have more data from the delivery graph? As far as I could find the Mig-21 pilot should accelerate to 1050 km/h in low and level flight, climb at a 45 degrees angle and release de bomb at 3000 meters. The bomb should impact the ground 7 km from release point following a ballistic curve.. The second method fore release is more accurate but more dangerous: release over the shoulder. Mig-21 Pilot fly over the target, then climbs vertical and release the bomb at 105 degrees nose up angle watching the target area just over his shoulder. The bomb continues climbing vertical and then falls back impacting under the release point.
  23. I'm a backer here and just pre ordered another copy as a gift, will be buying more later on to support LN.
