  1. Your flare is off. Thats why. You need to coordinate that better with better rudder inputs. You need to force the aircraft to not follow the force downward created by the sudden stop and friction against the tarmac. just keeping the stick in one position is not going to work. You have no fancy computers doing this for you as you have in viggen or mirage or f-18. You need to fly the aircraft all the time. Not put a stick in one place and the computers give you the rudderinputs needed. You control the rudders. Not a computer. Its a balancing act done by you and not a computer I think you should be pleased with that landing. Nice one!
  2. Try to have as low rate of descent as possible at wheels contact with tarmac. Flare, but not to much, and support the sink rate with throttle. That's how I do it. Don't be to quick to cut the throttle. You need it longer than you think.

    Still Fun

I think the default key is"m" to turn the periscope mirror on. Its a mirror to look behind the aircraft.
  4. +1
  5. So this is not valid anymore? https://leatherneck-sim.mantishub.io/view.php?id=689
  6. Sturdy bitch this Mig-21, thats all!! ;)
  7. For a Mig-21 jockey here that actually "like" the Mig-21 FM. (can you like a bird that kills you if you **** up..... well I can ;) ) Can someone explaine this 2G "hard coded" lock I seen people talk about. Whats that and do the Mig-21 IRL have such a look in its flight system?
  8. A quick search, not even took me 10 sec gives me this: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/products/planes/mig21bis/ Now you actually need to read that yourself to find out what Mig-21 version it is. I will not tell you! ;)
  9. I also work in aviation and everyone at my base knows you just put water on the bugs with a hoose or even a really soaked blanket, wait 10 min and then wipe them of with a clean towel..... use a lot of water to get them moist! Thats how we do it. Works perfecly! Thats why also when they fly in rain the aircraft "washes itself." (High speed flying thro rain is like highpressure wash. I have never washed a jet but the helicopter guys wash the tailbooms every week. ;) Helicopters are dirty aircrafts! :)
  10. A SU-25 sound to a Mig is horrible. Because a MIG does not sound like a SU-25. Even you can understand that Yes?! :helpsmilie: The Su-25 sound on the Su-25 I have never had any trobule with, just that the Mig-21 does not sound like a SU-25  If you dont use search engines, then I recomend going to a airshow where both birds are present so you can use your own ears as videos on the web is to "subjective" for you. You sir need to try to understand instead off trying so hard to missunderstand! Good luck to you!:pilotfly: See, I can also use smiles to emphasies how badass I am! :smartass:
  11. A quick google on your side would answer that question. Google a video on a mig-21 low flyby..... Then google SU-25 low flyby.... Hear anything diffrent between the two?
  12. Thats called backlighting. A trick you can use as a cameraman and as a canopy is a big glasbody it reflects the light in a cool way. Good job finding cool pics! Stil, not as dirty as the mig.... Some smears and fingerprints but that is invisible from the inside when the light is on the outside with you looking out. Test it out with your car.
  13. +1 on the sound. The stock sound is horrible.
  14. The canopy as its stands right now makes night VRF mutch harder than any other module. Just load a mission in VFR night conditions and just look left and lower and raise canopy. There will be a significant diffrence in what you see! (Everything gets really dark in this canopy!) The wierd filters and stuff devs have put on this canopy is just.....wierd! Can post screens but I guess you boys are big enough to pull this experiment off by yourselfs. Just a heads up, they are working on a new pit. 4 years in.... thats good..... or?
  15. I think accually it should behave like that. Areodynamics is not why it flies like that, it has to do with stabillity and the flight dynamics.
  16. It behaves llike that, nothing wierd at all. If you want to fly a airplane that fly "straigh" after your rudder inputs you would go for f-18, Mirage, or perhaps viggen with a better flightcomputer and stabalising system. Or another wing design. Have you any curves on your stick? I find that helps a bit in making better inputs in the Mig-21!
  17. Thats not even close as dirty as the mig. And buggs is not dirt....
  18. Yep. Because an aiplane flying all day and night dont get this dirty canopy. A museum aircraft standing in the same spot for +10 years, outdoors,do.
  19. And you mix "maintanance" with rearming and refueling a battle ready aircraft. If the aircraft is not servicable, its not on the pad. If it is, the canoy is CLEAN and the fighter is refueled, armed, ready for the assigned task! Thats it.
  20. When ED has done the rework for thier own mig-21 release.. (MAC) So, soooooon
  21. Wow... you really give no credit to ground crews do you.... really? wow.... Maintenance is one thing. Ceeping a airplane in operating conditions when its got hours to fly (with other words! Its been in maintance. The maintenance is done!) Its like talking about apples and pears and call them the same thing, its not! The dirty canopy in The DCS Mig-21 is what a museum Mig looks like. Not a combat aircraft. Come on, do you think the pilots flying this tube would accept a canopy looking like that.... just..... no! If you cant see in a fighter, you are dead. The canopys are keept clean, in combat enviremont, by a "low maintenance" aircraft! I promise you that! For real! Its a thing amongst ground crew guys! All over the world! Its their job dude!

    two years in

Right! Just peed my pants! Go for it M3!

    two years in

I think M3 is getting some help from ED in their making of the MAC Mig-21, and thats good! Lets hope for a working ASP, realistic SPO-10 and a pilotbody and new cockpit and clean canopy! Thats a pretty long list! Happy days! A lot to be happy about for Mig-21 drivers! Keeping my fingers crossed for a speedy dev time!
  24. In the main screen where some moduels have "Beta" or "Early Accsess" under the Icon for each model it says "trunk" on the Mig-21? Whats "trunk"? Are they only working on CE2 now and the lovely Mig-21 is left for MAC?..... in the trunk...? Version is open Beta...
  25. Any news on the dirty canopy glass? The glare is gone, but the grime and dirt is still really bad. Do we have to wait for the new cockpit? I would like to have 2 diffrent canopyglass to chose from. Put them as selectable, as Mi-8 has. A clean and a dirty one to chose from. That should not take several month to do. I bet they have the texture for a clear glas already. Just make it a part of this awsome module!
