My parents taught me to be patient and that I can't have it all at once. A skill dropped from parenting all together it seems. No matter in what business I look, people always complain these days. I can't complain about the way HB handled their release. I'm not an expert in this flightsim market to understand what the best way to release a module is. All I know you can't compare markets this way. If you're talking about products selling millions of copies it tells me you have a wide platform / market to release that product on. Something flightsim in general is lacking. I personally enjoy every little information released prior the launch of this module as Ive enjoyed all pre release media for flightsim add ons since my start in the FS95 days. It gets me exciting and eager to fly it. Because of this I am studying the 400+ pages manual and I don't even like reading :smartass:. I want to be ready when the module releases and I like to fly those thousands of hours in it. :pilotfly: Only complaint I am having is that I can't enjoy the F18, F14 and (soon TM) F16 at the same time and have to choose which one to fly.

Thanks and good idea. If everything goes normal it is less then 22 days away, if not bummer, we will have to wait a little longer. But in the end this module will only getting better over time! Keep up the good work HB and in the end ED to!

True, my bad. Thanks formoointing it out. I don’t see much issues with this trolling in DCS. The module itself is 80$. Besides that you will have admins on these servers (or on this forum) and have the ability to deny a RIO connecting.

No worries. From the manual for futher reference: For the second concerns: Ive seen someone claiming that you will be asked before a RIO could join. So you as a pilot are in controls. You can also try to find some friends to fly along with you ,-)

If the pilot ejecs,the RIO will always eject with him. The pilot can also select the eject controls for the rio. It is well written in the manual.

And on that bombshell you should just lock this thread :)

All joking offcourse :). Me and my RIO are patiantly waiting, but for now we use the manual and videos like these to get ready. Less then a month and sooner is always welcome but till then much more to learn and watch about this module! What a wonderfull addon it will be.

Watch your CPU usage in those FPS drops. Because you have lowered your settings you can bottleneck the CPU because of it in certain situations. What is your resolution set at? I have an 8700K and 1080ti with 32 Gb memory and I don't see dips below 60 fps as well, so kinda like Wags. CPU is always on 4,7 Ghz and not throttled on 2K monitor.

In our mission it is the same. 1 tanker with TCN 31Y A/A and bearing, the other with TCN 41Y A/A and bearing. When Y channel selected in the F18, no HUD info and only bearing information is available on the DDI. When changing it to the X channel in the F18, while tankers are setup as Y, HUD info is displayed and TCN bearing and distance is available on DDI. Didn't test this with other planes.

Early access is been around us for at least 7-8 years as far I can tell (2012 I bought my first ever over hyped early access game). For me personally it became very simple. I don't do early access anymore when it comes to game studio's wanting to make a quick buck. To many times this has gone wrong already. Ill wait for the finished product and see what it is like. Gaming studio's releasing early access games just for the sake so they can get away with game braking bugs etc. and never completing what they promised years ago is becoming a trend and I have had enough of that. So there is my patience :) For this hobby however I often buy addons to help out the developer, even if I don't have the intention to use the addon (Mostly for P3D though, DCS not so much yet). We live in a niche simulation world (flightsimming in general) often with small development teams working years for just one product, spending a lot of money. Their market isn't as large so they can use the help I guess. And without the devs I wouldn't have this hobby.

Some people really do need to take a brake from their computers if they can't enjoy any content shown of the F14. If you are already sick and tired of it now, what will that be in a week after launch?

Correct, you need to sensor select the MAV screen (diamond), not the radar. With the F/A-18C you also need to press and hold TDC press button and slew the seeker at the same time. Release the TDC press button over a target to acquire a lock. With the TMHW throttle however there seems to be an issue with pressing the TDC and slewing it the same time. A work around is to create a different TDC press button then the "nipple joystick".
