  1. Exactly my thoughts! I fly both and for now the F18 is the better choise. The F16 will be my main toy if more completed because it is closer to what my country is operating (F16-A) and I like it more IRL. Sometimes its that simple :).
  2. Haha then your issue is at least confirmed  Although you don’t see the guard, Maybe you can still hit the hitbox with the mouse to open it.
  3. See if your canopy guard is open and not closed (yellow bar left side of the cockpit).
  4. I join the thank you club! Wonderful job so far on the Viper.
  5. For now only the OB version. You can make an easy switch though. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030
  6. We have to ask our wingman to lower the gear once every flight so you could enjoy this!
  7. According to the cockpit orientation video the canopy switch is behind the yellow clamp, and guarded when the clamp is down! Don’t know if it is (already) simulated.
  8. It was a sneaky edit. I saw 04/10 as well. Even better news :)!
  9. When you fire up DCS standalone it will normally check if there is an update. If so it will notify you and you click just update now. (Or not, your call ,)) Edit: Ive had once the update notification did not work, then you use the DCS update execute!
  10. Well, I could if I owned it :music_whistling: but I only have the high fidelity modules. But with the F16 around the corner I don't have to wait much longer :joystick:
  11. Flying in formation behind a drogue is one thing. Flying underneath the KDC-10 or KC-135 is another! Can't wait to try that out :)
  12. If all people would follow your trend then there will be no new modules to buy and finish in the near future! So let us support ED by buying into EA (and understanding the concept) so they can continue to develop and we let you wait until the modules finish! To each their own !
  13. See this reply from NineLine: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4034190&postcount=223 Also by Wags himself: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4041342&postcount=9 They will announce the date in advanced
  14. They are in a difficult spot. People working on an airplane module are maybe not even needed on working on the bugfixes you and me want them to complete. So them sitting still is useless. We simply don't know in what way or form it hurts other development. The sim itself is free, so fixing bugs within the core game will cost them time and energy. Unlike games that come out every two years and die soon after or games that live on thanks to micro transactions they have to maintain the core game for free and earn their money a different way. They need to sell modules to keep us flying. So I want ED to deliver us the best combat sim, in the for them as efficient as possible way without going bankrupt.
  15. But was it still used in 2007? For all other weapons that is the timeframe the realism is based on. Just curious and a valid question.
  16. I know and I understand, to each their own. I am just different! I support ED and other devs because I want them to stick around a little longer. And I know you guys deliver. :pilotfly:
  17. For people like me who don't need a trailer, screenshots or lots of text to preorder the F16 :music_whistling:
  18. Yup, cool video! Video: 1440P availible YouTube: Nah mate, 144p will do..
  19. When a server uses SRS I join it for the common ATC stuff etc. My skill level isn't high enough to participate on any tactical warfare frequency but I do enjoy listening to it. There are a lot of people with such a high skill level and tactical insights that you can learn a lot from it, and it adds realism to the sim. What I do not like it that there are a lot of servers that uses SRS and TS3 for example. It splits up the comms. I understand that squadrons use TS3 to chat to each other (like a local flight comm) but besides that they should use the common radio's to communicate. I prefer SRS for this. If you do not like/wish to talk, just join and mute yourself. If the comms distract you just dial the volume down a notch. Your problem is your english you said. Just listening to comms will help you with that.
  20. Just want to say thank you for hosting. I tried this server this evening and, although not busy when I was on, I thought it was a nice mission. Will be flying more often for sure!
  21. I wouldn’t mind the KC-10 as well. Lovely plane.
  22. Maybe this helps: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/500/#3303126
  23. Depending how ED are implementing their release schedules and planning, a release once a month doesn't have to slow down development. It can even speed up the progress if done right. A welcome change if you ask me compared to what it used to be.
  24. If part of the modeling team is finished with project A for example you normally don't let them sit still and drink all the beer out of your fridge. :drunk: You don't let them touch the code either, so you get them started on something different instead. I don't find it strange to see work being done on different models already, while others are not yet finished. In early stages I would not preview it though. It can do crazy things to communities
