IRMAVs Should stay cooled, If not this is a bug (i've had it myself once but was unable to reproduce it then). From what the manual gives us, the deselection of the mavs when going in and out of TPOD mode is actually realistic. If you ever catch a track of the IRMAVs not being ready/ being uncooled after being unselected i'm interested

It's not just a temporarily fix btw, in the real manual it is explained that before each flight, the pilot must adjust the gain and contrast of each MPCD to achieve correct readability, depending on the light condition of the mission

Interesting. I'll take a look around to see if this data is valid for our DCS module. I'll contact the flight model team to see what they think about it.

Hello, a good habit is to turn down the gain of the MPCD (it will make for a better map to text contrast). On some hardware there is an overall readability issue with he texts, we are working on it. Cheers, Alpha

Taking a look

Procedure listed by Kappa is the correct one (the Mav unselecting when TPOD is SOI is a known issue, should be fixed soon). If you still have problems with mavs never heating or not getting SOI don't hesitate to make a small track of one of your flight using the IRMAVs, so that we can help you more accurately. All points are steerpoints, you should have infos about your selected one in the HUD. It indeed looks like a bug. Does it do the same when creating a mkpoint via TOO ?
