Hello, Thanks. In this video is an Ukranian Trenazser cockpit that use an LCD behind the front panel and use 26V for their electronics. Instead of the real Mig-21 that use 24,5V when it use their own generator. (not on APA). So it's much faded and low lighted in the real.. But if you have a good pics about it please send me.. I have many pics and videos from the real Mig-21Bis that taken by some pilots last week. Unfortunately I can't posted it due it's showing and contain several "confidental" equipment. See the attached example that's taken last week from the maximum bright cockpit!!!!. The end of the left panel has a service lamp connector that used by the techician and the pilot during the take-off preparation if they hadn't enough light condition for it.. I have a daily contact with many HuAF mechanicer who maintaned this aircraft type. And one of my friend is still fly on Mig-21Bis as well. So my knowledge based on the real things.. :-) The real Bis has an adjustable night lights and the pilots use this lamp the followings sequence: 1.) All lamps is on Max during the take-off preparation and during taxi. 2.) 4 big red lamps set to Mid during the taxi. The other lamps still in Max. 3.) Before take-off 4 big red lamps set to Min or Off. The other lamps set to min as well due it produce a very big reflection in the canopy glass... 4.) After take-off 4 big-red lamps set to Off, the other's set to min or Off in they have a clear nightsky condition, if not it remain Min set.. By the way the Bis has 4 subtype and 28 cockpit variant so everything is possible... I try to implement this night things based on the real examples as much as possible :-)

Be carefull. Both Norton and NOD32 has an alert due these files are infected by the NBRFTREZ Trojan.

I honor your efforts I know sometimes very hard to make a good package about an outdated things. But this tool is too old to we could make any proper cockpit with it in 2011 I guess.
-
I'm a bit sceptic about this quite outdated tool. Since I was decided to create a Mig-21 cockpit I learnt a lot of things about how possible the cockpit creation, how belong the objects/things for each other and which way the best to reach the optimal final. Almost all things possible except the HUD/MFD/Radar content changes due it's hardcoded through several layer. Using this knowledge I hope we will release a good and realistic 3D cockpit very soon. The other things is the old .cmd cockpit's are based on the 2D planes/layer structure that is a bit old concept if you compare with the KA-50 and A-10C .lom cockpits. So I think this tool "release" is forced by circumstances and a bit later also...

Looks good.

Due the Mig-21 haven't a HUD only an ASP gunsight it's impossible at the moment because you can see the LA, Lock and so on.. only in HUD. If I deactivate it you haven't any info about this... But we restricted some A2A and Radar modes. Also rewrited by the whole Radar lua for the realistic radar management.
-
-
The whole cockpit environment is finalized as well, only the night texturing and some lua related fine tuning remain. Also the beta test is need before I release it so at the moment I can't provide any exact release date to you but in my opinion the release will be do not later than mid of july...

Script for 3dsmax2008+ to change the HUD/MDF's position and size (FC2)
beczl replied to OnePride's topic in DCS Modding
One tip or trick. If you want to deactivate the HSI distance and heading white numbers (that's still visible after you use a ...kabina.cmd modification) you can do the following: Open a kabina.cmd with any HEX editor (for example XVI32) and find the following two names: PNP-PLASHKA-KURS and PNP-PLASHKA-DIST You have to rename it for example PNP-PLAAAAA-KURS.. and voila the white texts are disappear as well. -

Flaming Cliffs 2 custom cockpit fully working hud /mfd tutorial

This lancer camera is mounted under and front of the HUD. The HUD sighs is digitally remastered with the normal view as well. The Mig-21 bis (The the a mounted camera. From usage the correct eye height the main pitot-tube doesn't visible so much. It's based on the real experience as I already mentioned. :-) -
The cockpit modeling is at least twicer diffultier than the normal plane 3D modeling. Sometimes the elements are flickering and misaligned due the view settings are in 3DS MAX and FC2 is different. I have many tips for you if you need. I have some blueprints, but the bis has a four subvariant and eight cockpit variant, so at least 32 different cockpit variant exist. The ethod was the following in my case.: - Collect blueprints, and available photos on the internet. - Take photos from the real Mig cockpit (I went to several museum) - Talk with active or retired pilot's to clarify which instruments and switches layout etc... After I create the main panel elements, side panels and instruments I created some standard switches, knobs, lamps reference objects etc.. because fortunately the russian plane suse a lot of similar things. Than I positioned, cloned and assigned it to the main panels as well.
