Sure, I'm out on a trip and will post my monitor viewport setup when I get home tomorrow.

I'm the only one to use a 5 projector setup in Dcs and worked pretty well, but the cost is pretty high like mentioned above as well as the time it takes to setup. I have a rift as well and honestly enjoy flying Dcs more than the Cube setup. The normal cockpit view makes it hard to read any kind of small text (such as the mfd's), but I assigned snap views to quickly view what I need to see. Outside eye ball flying works really well even at the current low resolution. I'm still convinced that the rift is the most immersive flying experience you can have without actually being in a real aircraft.

Updated front page guys with a preview of the A-10 VRpit plans PDF. Basically print, cut and make your parts. It will take work, but pretty cheap to do it yourself compared to having them cnc'd. The Stick mod should be available in the next few days. Lastly, our site will updated as well. Thanks, Flim

Ya, I will provide a file that can be used to cnc, but have limitations on copying etc.. My plan, was to have a generic console of some type maybe where you can mount radios and the cdu... Also, mounting for the gear lever.

Lol, I train in level D simulators and still have more fun flying in the rift. Better resolution and positional tracking will be the most awesome advancement for gaming/entertainment . Can't wait!

My goal initially was to build a full working A-10 simulator with 5 projectors, but as I the jumped into kickstarter last year with the Oculus rift my plans have changed. After receiving my rift development kit, I realized that even a 5 projector setup could not match the immersion of sitting in full 3d cockpit with 1:1 head-tracking. After testing for a couple months, I now realize the full potential this will bring to simulation and even military training. The rift will enable a low cost fully immersive training for many applications. Now, my plan is just to offer plans at this time because It will be to difficult for me to get parts out in a timely matter with my schedule. I will offer PDF files so you can print 1:1 to build yourn own seat. Right now plans for the Aces A-10 seat, stick mounts, and floor will be $65 dollars. I'm trying to keep the price fair, and help motivate myself to create other seats and setups for you guys. The TM stick Mod will be available as well, but we are looking into a place where the printed parts can be ordered online and Vrpit will provide the plans/BOM to assemble your own. Plans coming soon: F-35 seat, F-18 seat, K-36(Russian) seat, Huey seat and collective, A-10 cockpit structure, F-16 seat and structure. Plan Preview - printable 1:1 PDF

That is what people use to say about the computer... lol flying low res even with the development kit is still more enjoyable than those 4k monitors... I had a Dell 4k...
-
The rift is much more comfy then NVG's... I've worn my at least 2 hours while flying war thunder. Current rift res is usable for flying, but not for viewing detailed instruments. I believe the 1080p version will be very usable with DCS. Also, flying in 3d where you can judge distance is a huge benefit.

Ok, I will get some pdf's together and figure out a price!
-
Have you used it? until you do, judging from an outside perspective is very difficult. I hate to be such a fan boy, but it is really that cool!

Well, the future is about one year from now... I have been in (flightsims) all of my life which contributed to me working as a pilot for a living. All I can say is I could charge for my advice (consulting fee), but I will give this free to ED... get it done. Sooner the better for your company!
-
Honestly, it will be the only way to play soon... I don't even like flying without it now!
-
I could do 1:1 PDF's where they could be printed... no problem What is a common sized printed at places like FedEx Kinko's?
-
The A-10 seats are ready, kits and plans... The Huey seat is pretty basic, but I will spice it up a bit. I'll start working up some plans as well as the collective.
-
Hog has been around for a while as well, and it will be tons of work to get going, but he will figure out what works and what doesn't. Don't mind Deadman, he likes real parts... that goes with the territory!

Best HOTAS setup, request info (no price limit)

I would say the Fssb Warthog... pedals are a toss up, but the pfc somes look pretty good. -
This pit here is pretty much ready to cnc, laser, and 3d print... We are still waiting for Gadroc's panel boards, but all panels are sourced for the correct switch and designed specifically for simulator application.
-
We still have a pit option on the table, not sure how we will go about it... meaning plans or outsourcing parts to other members... but here is Flim, Jsteensen, and Gadroc A-10 pit design.
-
I will give Hog a thumbs up... Anything less than $1300, Hog will not pay for his time nor machine... It would not be worth it. It is (Mucho) work to build panels, especially an entire set over and over.

Hey, total width is 19.0 inches and floor to top of seat pan is 12.2 or so. Now that is without bottom cushion, so you need to figure out another inch or so in foam. let me know if you need anything else. Seat cushion note: My seat cushion provider decided to get flaky on on me, so I'm working with a local company and will report back when I get a new price.

Hey ya, My goal initially was to build a full working A-10 simulator with 5 projectors, but as I the jumped into kickstarter last year with the Oculus rift my plans have changed. After receiving my rift development kit, I realized that even a 5 projector setup could not match the immersion of sitting in full 3d cockpit with 1:1 head-tracking. After testing for a couple months, I now realize the full potential this will bring to simulation and even military training. The rift will enable a low cost fully immersive training for many applications, and so my decision is to build and provide seat and control mount options for simulation and training applications. My setup for the A-10 will consist of the Aces II ejection seat, VRpit center Warthog mod, throttle mount, and mouse keyboard platform on the right side. Also there is rudder floor to mount the pedals and center stick. Later we will add seat feedback shoulder harness that reacts to in game aircraft g-forces. My plan is to develop different seats for my favorite DCS aircraft such as the F-18,f-35, and helicopters. If you are interested in plans or kits, please see our for sell section of the forums. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=108766 This is what my setup will look like very shortly and will post pictures after the paint is dry. You stand corrected... The winners were released yesterday. http://www.gamecriticsawards.com/winners.html I don't see xbox or ps4 there-- The 1080 Rift won
-
Oculus won the best hardware at E3 over the new xbox and Ps4... um, that must say something!

update on first post....

Ya, pain here in the states... Mine uses custom 3d printed parts which work great. It has taken a while to get the mod to this point...went through a handful of versions until we got it right.
