[OLD BUG REPORTS] Cleaning and Organization of old posts
Snappy replied to RAZBAM_ELMO's topic in Resolved Bugs
So much for that. Regards, Snappy -
What is the "Fixed Integrity Check error on multiplayer servers" in the description of your linked file supposed to mean then? Serious question. Kind regards, Snappy

Hi Flighter, could you kindly add the dual gunpods to the loadout of the AJS-37 Viggen for the 1v1 areas? Right now it has only the rb74 loaded so its limited to missiles only. Also could you pls check the availability of the Viggen in the 1v1 areas? I can be mistaken, but I think in No1 1v1 area the Viggen is only available to the red side but not the blue side. Thank you for this fun-loaded server! Kind regards, Snappy

[OLD BUG REPORTS] Cleaning and Organization of old posts
Snappy replied to RAZBAM_ELMO's topic in Resolved Bugs
Hello, since the latest update(27/11) even the Close Combat modes of the radar have issues locking onto targets at close range (<5nm) AND within the actual HUD frame, so really directly in front of the aircraft. Sometimes it takes a long time while I was chasing a target in its 6 o clock position at 2-3 miles until it finally locked on.All that time the target was straight ahead. I don't consider this realistic. I get that an 80's technology radar is limited in its longer range and TWS detection, but here the radar is only sweeping a very narrow area in front the aircraft with a high frequency. At these distances it really should have no issues locking a target within this small area dead ahead. Razbam/Decoy please check into this. Kind regards, Snappy -
Heatblur Development Update - Thunder & Cat
Snappy replied to Cobra847's topic in Heatblur Simulations
IronMike, Lastrifleround, thank you both for your input.Yes I do understand the Tomcat has a bigger team due to its fame/popularity and the Viggen had a head start in development.Thats ok. Still hope the Viggen gets its remaining items like RAT and so on fixed. Will see what the future brings. Kind regards, Snappy -
Heatblur Development Update - Thunder & Cat
Snappy replied to Cobra847's topic in Heatblur Simulations
Hmm, despite Cobras original announcement about the viggen customers not being second rate citizens, so far update after update comes filled with Tomcat fixes and improvements and still next to nothing for the Viggen . It‘s ok, still another month to go, but would be nice to see it getting some more attention in december. Regards, Snappy -
Hmm after the latest update, even the boresight and vertical scan modes seem to have a hard time locking a target that is very close( <5nm) and in within HUD frame.Sometimes it took a long time while I was chasing a target in its 6 o clock position at 2-3 miles until it finally locked on. Really hope that is not considered realistic as well.. These modes used to bit a lot more reliable at close range before update. I know the radar is WIP, still hope there will be a least some improvement in usability,at least in regards to short range Regards, Snappy

If I m not mistaken ,this bug is at least listed in Razbam Bug Tracker on their homepage. Regards, Snappy Edit: Yes,just checked again - it's there ,listed under leonardos tasks

Yea, would be nice if this could be fixed as soon as possible, as this bug is ultra-annoying for people who like bfm. Can't count the times I've been behind an enemy in favourable position , working on a gun solution, only to have the aircraft disintegrate below me because I flew through his wake. Thank you. Kind regards, Snappy -
Of course lets not do that ,thought I had written „Each to their own..“ though. Or is this thread reserved for positive views only? Serious question. regards, Snappy

Agree with Arctander on this. Wish people would wait before stuff is really implemented in game and working at least semi-bugfree before heaping praise on ED.It’s unfortunately the same over and over again.ED announce something and tease some pics and people start raving somewhat prematurely. Each to their own, but I am sceptical. So much has been announced and teased in the past, much of which hasn‘t arrived yet. So I ll wait for concrete tangible improvements in the core game before pushing out compliments. Kind regards, Snappy
-
Ah cool. very good, thanks Ragnar for fixing it! Regards, Snappy
-
BigNewy, Thanks for chiming in here. However I would appreciate if you(meaning official ED) could have a word with Razbam regarding their general support policy. Because honestly it seems they have largely abandoned these forums and provide the majority of progress update Information and customer interaction via Discord. Very rarely if ever do they pop in here to acknowledge bug reports or respond to questions. I have no problem with Module developers using multiple channels for support &PR, but these are the only official support forums for DCS products so I expect at least an equal or higher presence here ,compared to other outlets. And no,I do not want to register on Discord to receive support for razbam products. I would really appreciate if ED could officially talk to Razbam about that. Kind regards, Snappy
-
Ok thank you top jockey, I think I it working now. Regards, Snappy
-
Hm, its not in the patch 11\12 update changelog, did ED forget to mention it or was not in the patch? Regards, Snappy
-
Hi Top jockey, thank you for your reply with the picture.Just so I understand your steps correctly : You press „2“ to get into BVR.Then change into TWS mode. Then after locking the target in TWS you pressed „D“ to cycle through the weapons until you got aim-9 and the seeker was cued to locked target? Kind regards, Snappy
-
Hi all, Is there way to cue the sidewinder seeker head to a specific radar locked target in TWS mode? So far I can only get it to work in STT (but then the targets gets lock warning)or alternatively if you switch into aim-9 AACQ mode and switch on the radar it goes into Flood mode. Regards, Snappy

Excuse me,where is this updated bug tracker?on Discord? Regards, Snappy -
Very glad to see some of the more reasonable , balanced and sane posts above, instead of usual reflexive „It‘s EA, don‘t buy if you don‘t get it and btw you have abandoned any right to question or criticize“ quickdraw drivel. Can only hope ED slowly gets it. Regards, Snappy

[FIXED] M-61 Vulcan and Gau-8 Avenger dispersion values
Snappy replied to nighthawk2174's topic in Weapon Bugs
Good question.Maybe it’s correct due to different installation positions in the airframes, resulting in different vibrations during firing? Or it’s not correct as maybe this is compensated for in reality and should be the same for all vulcan carrying fighters. I don’t know.. Regards , Snappy -
3B Viking model and the improved physics model for AAR
Snappy replied to AG-51_Razor's topic in Wish List
That was posted over a year ago and nowhere does he mention improving air to air refueling physics is required prior refueling video.Given the date of the post and how things are going lately in DCS I wouldn’t hold out hope for seeing that academic refuel video in the next two years,if ever.. Not that to say I find that good or acceptable, but its just the way things are/have been with DCS. Stuff gets announced(whether promised or not is pure semantics) and then doesn‘t happen or happens way later.Simple fact of life. Regards, Snappy -
Some people should keep away from posting in forums if they simply can’t handle that other people have other opinions on matters without immediately launching into ridiculing them. Regards Snappy
-
:) Fine, have it your way.Just please don‘t post on forums if you can‘t handle people pointing out deficiencies in your perceived concept of realism.. No need to go PM for that. You blasted us with your imbalance theories as well without asking ..talk about derailing. Maybe ask yourself why people persist in not getting your point would help? Anyway, keep playing pseudo-realism,whatever makes you feel better. Snappy
-
Slight thread drift, but please step down from your realism high horse will you. Or have you deinstalled the game after your first crash or first shoot down with loss of pilot? Because there is no -try again- in reality either in those cases. And regarding mismatches.Asymmetric historic conflicts notwithstanding, why do you assume that people enjoy being being cannon fodder for a technological far ahead blue side?? You wouldn‘t even get to the merge in your 70/80s vintage Mig in most cases as you would have been spamrammed out of the sky before you knew what hit you. Oh and btw you would likely be doctrine-bound to follow GCI orders and not get to make major tactical decisions if you‘d take it to realistic level& could fly DCS only a few hours per month as you don‘t get trained as much as the rw blue force. So please cut it down a bit. Regards, Snappy.

Hi Idrisguitar, one more thing, especially if you fly the Hornet. Before you go buy any campaigns, check the userfiles for free bfm missions/campaigns.I think there is even a relatively good "Top gun" campaign for the hornet that puts you up against various opponents. So you can see if that suits your taste and then decide about buying campaigns. Regards, Snappy
