  1. Yes my throttle shows movement, and I only have the reverse box selected
  2. :megalol: I want that in the next patch! :megalol:
  3. You are right in the way Cachya works. It tracks a geometric shape that you attach to a hat. This geometric shape is white surrounded by a black border. The Cachya software can be confused as well if you want it to. If there were any other bright white objects that came into the field of view, it can start tracking that object. On that note, they have to be in the foreground though. In front of me and not behind me. I have white blinds situated right behind me in the field of view, but cachya never tracks my blinds.
  4. How do you adjust the sensitivities for someone wearing glasses on Track IR. Just in case I happen to try out Track IR again. The one thing I do, which is a must, is use it in the day time. If Track IR doesn't work as well in day time light, I wouldn't want it. All my gaming is mostly done during the day. My computer isn't in a very dark room. Cachya works awesome for me any time of day.
  5. That is wierd, mine shows up in the ingame options. There is a box to check in the axis options which reverses the throttle. Did you calibrate the joystick and throttle in windows first before entering the game?
  6. That might have been the problem. I do wear glasses. That sounds reasonable. I don't get that problem wearing glasses with cachya though.
  7. Suit yourself. Makes no difference to me. I have nothing to do with the Cachya developers, I just use their product. I just thought I'd offer a more affordable solution to your dilemma. It's up to you whether you want to believe the videos or not. I just spent the better part of last night putting together a video using Cachya with DCS Black Shark to show you guys how well it works. At least I started to learn how to make a video. I kind of wanted to figure that out any way.
  8. I don't smoke.
  9. We tried it with absolutely no light source and it was still doing it. The only light source was emmanating from the monitor. It must have been his settings or a defective unit. At any rate I am happy with Cachya and I see no reason to downgrade.
  10. We didn't adjust any of the sensitivities. We only fiddled with the lighting. I assumed that he had already fiddled with the sensitivity of it because he had already had it for a while.
  11. It was a dark room, much darker than the room that I use Cachya in. There was no light source other than a small lamp and the monitor. We tried turning the lamp off as well but that did not stop it from happening. We also tried turning the light on in the room. No effect. There was no windows.
  12. I certainly agree with you that head tracking software should come second to a good HOTAS. I use a full CH Products setup for my HOTAS. (CH F-16 Combat stick, CH Pro Throttle, and Rudder pedals) I certainly didn't skimp out there, and as far as I'm concerned, I didn't skimp out on the head tracking software as well. In my experience using Track IR, I feel that I got the better product with Cachya. Trust me, I was expecting Track IR to be far superior to Cachya as well being that it cost $150. But that wasn't the case. Unless you can prove me wrong, which I highly doubt, I will be sticking with Cachya.
  13. I just want to know one thing. How do you explain my buddies Track IR looking where I did not want it to look? Your explanation is that I don't know how to move my head. I've known how to move my head since I came outta my mommas womb. Track IR works the same way as cachya and I already had cachya for two months before trying his out. And yes, I did know how to use it. Once I started using it, it was working the same as cachya. Then all of a sudden, the view would jump to the right and down facing the back wall. With NO head movement. Then I would recenter it, and it would work alright for about another minute. Then it would do the same thing again. This happened 8 times. I almost crashed 3 times because this happened when I was flying NOE. How do you explain this phenomenon? And I don't want to hear that I didn't know what I was doing.
  14. I'm not even going to answer that because you are a Dev, and my answer will be wrong no matter what.
  15.:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: You got my vote. That is what my desktop would have if I wasn't married!
  16. Thats pretty cool as well. I'm going to have to try that for first person shooters. Does that have 6DOF as well? I didn't see any six degrees of freedom being used.
  17. Why is it, that when I was at a buddys house trying his Track IR that it started going haywire on me. I had to reset the view to center like 8 times in about 20 minutes of flying. I almost crashed three times because the view all of a sudden jumped down and to the right, looking at my back panel. I never even moved my head. I wouldn't call that better than Cachya. I have NEVER had that problem with Cachya. I think you are just brainwashed into thinking that Track IR is better because you paid $150 bucks for it and didn't do any research first. After trying Track IR and using Cachya, I will NEVER buy Track IR. I was so disapointed in the way Track IR worked. That is why I am posting this information on Cachya because people need to know that there are cheaper and ON PAR if not Better, alternatives to Track IR.
  18. :( Awe man, I was hoping that was a work in progress!
  19. 1. You hear this nagging voice behind you, and realize its your wife bitching at you because you've been playing this game too dang long, (in her mind). 2. You hear this nagging voice behind you, and realize its your wife bitching at you because you've been playing this game too... oh, wait a minute, said that already.
  20. This is a short clip of the Cachya head tracking software being used with DCS Black Shark. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=926QPcytF-o. As you can see from the video, the Cachya head tracking runs very smooth and is on par with Track IR. It is 6DOF which I try to demonstrate during a portion of the video. I used a program called Fraps to do the video, but it only allows 30 second clips with the unregistered version. I merged all the 30 second clips together to create this video. As you can see from the video, there is the occasional jump forward every 30 seconds. This is from me having to start the video recording again and not from the cachya software itself. Just so everyone knows, I am in no way affiliated with Cachya or its programmers and make no profit from the sales of this software. I am just very enthusiastic about the program because it is very affordable and I did not have the money to buy Track IR. I just think Natural Point charges way too much for their head tracking equipment when there are cheaper and equivalent alternatives out there.

  22. Go ahead, you can find that wallpaper in the screen shots section under Canadian wallpapers. The one desktop I was really interested in was the .pdf file on AlpahaOneSixs desktop titled "Ah-64A_ORT Handgrips". Does that mean we are getting the Apache? :D
  23. I just meant that you don't have to use any external programs for it to work in Black Shark other than Cachya. And yes, you do have to print out a head sign, (or draw it, I had to do this since I didn't have a printer). I guess I can make a track using cachya in Black Shark. I've never made a video before so I'll have to figure it out. Or, you can just go to the website. They have You Tube links to videos. www.cachya.com
  24. You are right. Nothing extra needed. Just a webcam and a printout of a geometrical shape attached to a hat, which the software tracks. That is it. **This part is very important though. I've fiddled around with this as much as I could to get the best accuracy. This program works the best when you have a light above your monitor so that it illuminates your sign much better.** You also want a fairly dark room with no windows behind you during the day. Then it takes about an hour to 2 hours to tweak the program so it works perfect. Let me know how it works for you. :smilewink:
  25. I don't understand what your saying, Cachya works straight out of the box for Black Shark as well. In fact every sim Ive tried, cachya works straight out of the box. The only thing I had to do was choose which axis to use for which head movement.
