I fail to see where the speculation comes from that this has anything to do with any games console? i believe your all barking up the wrong tree! the name change simply comes from a re-invention of the IP at hand. maybe microsofts take on it is that "its as real as it gets" so they dont need the word simulator anymore ... now that is debatable i agree. The comments about Live and Xbox live simply talk of the furthered integration between the two with no emphasis upon Flight being anything to do with xbox live. Microsoft Flight™ is first and foremost a windows title.

HDR ! is apparent in A-10, this will change this debate to some degree. best advice i could give is wait untill its released and then ask the question again. Going with a current top end card should never be an issue and prove a worth while decision.

i wish for a twin seat DCS aircraft project, multiplayer compatable ofcourse. i had hoped it might come in the form of the A10. but i can still wish.

as an xbox user im quite excited about this game. the IL2 game they did recently was a game of course and very enjoyable. yes its not what we really want but as a person awaiting eagerly the DCS apache this will do in the mean time :)

well in respect to pretty much any DRM, you only hear the horror stories. I think were talking specific here too, we are reffering to Steam and or starforce. now steam is no more intrusive than any other system designed to do what it does. steam DCS products will be void of DRM effectivly. well certainly starforce. this leaves DCS series using whatever DRM steam incorporates within it. if you choose that format ofcourse. regards your (imo) admitted lack of understanding i was refering to the Gawd knows what it'll do comment. Personally i understand your pov on DRM as a whole, but what is the problem with steam ? its practically 10 years old, a tried and tested succesfull platform. there is nothing malicious going on with Steam DRM. just to point out in your recent posts you say you are accepting starforce and to deliver DCS:a10 like BS was, and now your saying youve had steam on your pc before. yet your so against DRM. Its this what i dont understand tbh. and BTW ED have stated there will be the option. so the whole argument is mute since you dont mind starforce which is what DCS will presumably have in the future bar the steam version.

I find this un nesessary response quite rude in many respects given mower's admitted lack of understanding. Someone is going to have to create a website or something dealing with DRM myths. Its very noticable who, Has & Hasn't,Does & Doesn't & who Is and Isnt prepared to use steam. but heres the key or the fix. Try it and see for yourself. and all will make sense. You are allowed to say you dont want it or like it. but really you can only say that once you have the full facts about what it is and isnt. i wish people would take intelligence and knowledge seriously. I cringe when i see all these posts about steam. i cringe when anything gets discussed without the proper knowledge, intelligence and understanding. Dont people realise that between us all the one main thing we have in common is that its our duty to use and fill our brains with this stuff. The Good Stuff ! my first expereince of the A10, was on the isle of arran in the early to mid eighties. i was up on a large hill at the same height level as 2 a-10 with a green camo flew by slowly. sound was strange. "dad, why does it sound like that"...it felt quiet. since that day its been my favourite.

port forwading is fine, big green symbol = good to go. re ftp, anonymous, anonymous does not work.
