  1. Did you watch it? there is polish 29 there... Hmm ED cant do russian stuff... Guess who else has docu-mints?
  2. Yeah the IR missile stuff aside from the 9B needs to get fixed/updated. As well as the radar. Hopefully both come with the EE.
  3. Heh, thats the new DCS tanker. IRAF 707
  4. 2023 video is coming soon enough, so maybe it will be in there.
  5. you need the new beta version.
  6. you gotta put the piper on the orange radar square
  7. They probably could get J docs, and not E docs. Plus france operated the J (ish)
  8. You will have to dogfight the old fashioned way komrade.
  9. Yeah N003. We're not getting an MLD, it will be the iraqi modded MLA, which had a few upgrades from the MLD (RWR, flares etc) Best guess is 2023 or 2024. The Eagle still isn't out and most likely their coders are busy with it. So likely a limited coding effort till the 15E is out.
  10. Yup 100% true. I honestly don't want to see a F4G in DCS at this point. Not until we have some better radar and actual SAM and IADS simulation.
  11. It seems like this thing without fail 100% detects all missile launches and shows that nice "yeet" track as it comes at you. The reality is that MWS systems do miss launches with some level of frequency and also have some level of false alarm rates IRL. This MWS seems very arcadey in comparison. And I assume the case is the same for both the Apache MWS and the A10C system. Perhaps a user defined slider would a reasonable way to address this since I doubt actual real world documentation on these systems under combat conditions exists. Aside of course from the recent unpleasantness that we can't discuss, but there are plenty of videos of helos going down there that should be equipped with President-S which our MWS is "loosely" based on.
  12. My two cents on this from a PVP perspective. The 530's are kind absurdly over modeled at least based on their actual historical performance. But thats an ED problem with many missiles. But if you are doing PVP with the mirage I find taking the EM and using it for the close range head on shot is pretty effective. For BFM, I think the vast majority of F1 pilots are being stupid and take drop tanks. Like you literally want to be at like 50-70% fuel when entering the merge not 100% you are vastly too heavy. I honestly prefer being at about 50% or less. Vs the mig he has a better TWR and will out accelerate you and regain energy far faster, so you have to be smart and hopefully try to kill him quick cuz you will likely loose an extended fight. VS the F5 its a more even fight if you are light IMO, I try to use vertical as much as I can but its down to pilot skill. Luckily on ECW there are plenty of low skill F5's.
  13. Honestly for me the bigger thing is the state of clutter not really canging at all. Basically its a pulse radar with MTI processing when looking "down". As such even at a basic level when looking "up" there shouldn't much in the way of clutter (there is IRL from clouds and such but thats not what this looks like). Similarly when looking down there should be way more clutter, as well as more clutter at low alt (or at least range reductions etc). Plus at least from what I have read, the Cyrano IV was never that good in look down and it seems to work pretty well. And really adding the cage/uncage stuff for the IR missiles seems pretty straightforward as well. They did a fantasitc job on the 9B IMO, but like where are the fixes for the 9J/P/juli and the 550 (and now magic II).
  14. Guess we will see how it all ends up.
  15. I mean thats not really how it worked. ED got a AF contract to make the A10C, they didn't randomly decide to "uplift" anything. That being said sure it would be great to get some flankers or fulcrums in the game, but I don't see it happening with the current geopolitical situation.
  16. What prior example of FC3 module being made FF? And don't say the A10C cuz it wasn't.
  17. When flying online from an autostart, using the HMD the shkval will be correct in azimuth, but elevation is point into the clouds when I designate. I can slew it down and its roughly where I need it but its absolutely whacked. No issue when using the hud to designate, just the HMD. And it only happens online with the AutoStart. I can fly offline (hot start) and its fine. Its either bugged, or autostart is missing a step.
  18. Cuz ED would have to add all that code to flaming cliffs, which isn't happening. The existing J-11 is basically a re-skin/minor 3d work on the actual flanker. Its using the same exact code as the rest of FC, and ED isn't gonna sink any more resources into it.
  19. Yes they did. The issue likely with ED, as from what I can tell the firing side of the house should be the same as the regular 530, which of course makes for some interesting converstations about what that should look like on enemy RWRs (there is no state change with the radar between lock/firing). Overall I'm a bit disappointed with the rate progress on getting the existing IR missiles fixed (cage/uncage) as well as the state of the radar and Super 530F.
  20. Pretty sure the seeker was the same, at least in the earlier ones, K-13 and K-13A are different and the later one I've seen some different numbers on (to include things like lower track rates and worse settling times). But yes, different engine/gas generator. Probably not R-14 since it didn't see service. And there isn't a ton known about about the R-13M1 from what I've been able to dig up at least in terms of specific numbers for various important parameters since the 13M1 was not exported and was in a sense obsolete by the introduction of the R60/M and R73's.
  21. Its not even that complicated. For example in the F18 lets say you have the following sensors Radar: so so bearing accuracy, decent range accuracy, active RWR: Poor bearing accuracy, poor range accuracy, passive TGP/IRST: High bearing accuracy, poor/no range accuracy, passive So lets say you get a mig21hit on your RWR at say 9 oclock. Your computer automatically starts building a track file on that emmiter, its not a great track file, but it seems to be changing bearing somewhat since its directly off your 9 oclock and you can start to build a bad track using TMA methods to estimate range. It doesn't seem to be all that far away from you which is of concern, so you take a turn in slighly so you can cue your TGP/IRST and start looking that way since you don't want to give your position away and hey for once you get lucky since its a happy cloudless day and your TGP/IRST actually cues in on what looks to be a target. Now your track file gets updated with the new MUCH higher bearing and azimuth info and since he's still largely off your 9/10 oclock that TMA file starts getting built with much higher levels of accurate data, and you now have a far better range estimate on the target, phew, not nearly as close as you first thought. It is definitely a hotsile emitter though in an area where you are clear to shoot at them. Now unfortunately for you, the track while great in positional accuracy isn't really great for a range estimate, meaning its not a weapons grade track Hi might be in range or not for an aamraam shot. You quickly cue your radar to that target to get a range, the radar locks instantly, and gives you a 25mi range. Perfect for an Aamram shot before his radar can even detect you. And fox3... Is any of this in DCS? The answer is no. But it should be since many gen4 and certainly all gen4.5 aircraft have capabilities like this, and this is something that 100% distinguishes them from gen3 fighters. Also in that above scenario you could send that track file to your wingman 10miles away who is doing the same thing, and all of a sudden you likely have a fully passive track you can launch on. For example if Deka does the J10B or J10C, both of those fighters should absolutely have capabilities like this.
  22. Any idea how to get the BS3 discount on steam? All I see is a 70 dollar option there for the whole thing? Never mind, found that there is an black shark 3 upgarde there as well. Mods can delete this.
  23. Yeah galinette has a bunch of videos on how the M2k one works and now the F15 radar, you can find them on their discord.
  24. Razbam has a physics based radar model for the M2k. And while HB haven't gone into a ton of detail on the F14 model I assume it sorta uses physics. The 15E radar teased absolutely uses basic radar physics. And really IMO all of DCS should move to that model.
