AI don't respond to comms Mission 1
King39 replied to jaylw314's topic in DCS: A-10C Operation Agile Spear Campaign
I apologize for not responding sooner as I didn't see your post until just now. I'm not sure what you want the Wingman to respond too. She acknowledges your order to go Trail and then you are prompted to order her to go Trail. Also, the ATC call is via the F10 Menu system in DCS World. I have no control over that. The Kobuleti ATC should be responding to your call for Inbound. I just tried the mission and the ATC responded appropriately for me. Again, I'm sorry for not responding earlier. The ATC calls are via the F10 Menu and are a product of DCS World and I have no control over that. I will submit this to ED and see what they say. Thanks for your input. We appreciate it. -
Mission 3 - Kneeboard incorrect
King39 replied to jaylw314's topic in DCS: A-10C Operation Agile Spear Campaign
Hello, I apologize for not responding sooner but I didn't see this post until just now. I don't see where the Mission 3 Datasheet is incorrect. The Briefing Screen and Kneeboard Datasheets show the correct targets and Flight plan. What do you see that is incorrect please? -
Her story was actually taken from a real-life situation where a young female Captain I worked with had to deploy just before her planned wedding was to take place. Her fiancé was a civilian and not very happy with the entire situation. She told me that he wanted her to resign her commission because of that. They ended up taking their vows via Skype.

I just went through the first mission and was able to communicate with Kobuleti Tower but it is on 133.00 MHz not 257.60 nor 260.00. The tower frequency is on your Kneeboard for easy reference during the flight. The truck is the Follow Me vehicle to take you to your parking spot. which the tower will tell you once you clear the active runway. Thanks again for your inputs. I just downloaded and installed the campaign and am not having any problems getting it to start. Could the installation be corrupted possibly? Maybe delete it and reinstall?

What do mean "boat switch center"? Is that using AGM-65Ds? They are only good at. 10 miles. No?

So, > 18,000 msl and/or < 1.3 miles. Good vid. Thanks.

No, am working on a campaign right now. Think that will help figure it out? -
Stable 2.7.10 Crashing A lot - How To Read Log Files
King39 replied to King39's topic in Mission Editor
Crash to Desktop with the prompt to send the log files ( which I do) No overclocks at all. No mods whatsoever. -
Hello, I've been experiencing a lot of crashes recently with Stable 2.7.10.19473 and was hoping someone could show me where to look in the Log File as a source of the crashes. I have no idea what to look for and any help would be appreciated. Thanks, John

It can get a bit cluttered if there are a lot of Draw objects so: A lock function for drawn objects so they don't get accidentally shifted around. See attached.

Just downloaded and installed the Syria update and can't get over the amount of detail in such a large region. This is really going to make a welcome basis for the Syria campaign I am developing. Thanks again, John

reported A10c ii MFCD backlight brightness not working
King39 replied to DOG's topic in Bugs and Problems
Once again, you are correct, Sir. I missed the common sense answer to the query. Yes, they WERE designed to be used at night as reflected in the "Night" setting of the dial. Still, I do remember reading something about the brightness of the MFCD's. Let me ask Buck and see what he says. -

This may not be a bug. If you've ever read Buck Wyndam's excellent book "Hogs in the Sand" he describes taping a green film (I cannot remember specifically what type) over the MFCDs at night because they were too bright and never designed to be used at night. His book is highly suggested reading for anyone interested in early A-10 tactics and employment. -
Beautiful! Thank you. Now if I can just get the helicopter to follow it's flight plan I'll be all set.

I understand that a smoke generator has to be loaded on an aircraft for the smoke to work but there doesn't seem to be a helo that has a smoke generator available. Is there another way (script or something) where smoke can be triggered on and off for a helicopter? I'm trying to make a helicopters progress through a flight plan apparent to the player (in an A-10C). I'd like to be able to trigger smoke on/off so the player can spot the helo as it progresses through the trip. Thank you,

Can't you do that already with the Templates button?

Hello, I would LOVE to see this if possible.
-
Great work, this, but have you been able to work on northern Syrian sites?
-
There is, however, an action Start Mission which could be triggered by, say, the player aircraft at the edge of one map and then Start Mission at the beginning of another map. Could also be used to shorten a long flight, say across Syria, and then pick up closer to the destination. I've never used Start Mission but am intrigued by the idea...
