  1. Hello, I really like what the program can do and was planning on using it for my new Syrian campaign but it's just too buggy for me to commit to use it. It seems to work only when it feels like it. I was using it without problems last night and now it won't load - just the icon in the taskbar like it's minimized but it won't open up when called. It has done this same thing off and on four or five times in the last two or three weeks even with all the the updates. I've been trying to use the program with some regularity but it is just buggy for me to commit to it. I really did want to use it but I can't count on it. I've never seen a program behave like this before and I've been working on Windows since 3.1. I hope you can get it sorted out as I really like it but am going to go back to manually developed datacards. John
  2. Curious, will you be including The Green Village just southeast of Deir ez-Zoir. It could be critical to a Syrian Campaign...:>)
  3. Roger that. Thanks again.
  4. No, if you zoom in real close on the statics you can see their actual outline scaled relative to the rest of the world. It didn't used to be that way.
  5. Thank, you I'll probably go that route. Thanks
  6. Hello, I've been trying to figure out the command ID for weapon release (pickle) which I want to trigger an event (a message). 1. Would that be X: cockpit parameter (the weapon release)? 2. Does anyone know what the command ID is for weapon release? I've searched the command_defs.lua and cockpit arguments list and can't seem to find the right one. I've seen 350 somewhere but it doesn't work. Thanks in advance, John
  7. Speaking as a Mission/Campaign developer, the recent update which shows the outline of each static object has taken the guesswork out and GREATLY reduced the time it takes to create a scenario. I don't know when it came out but only noticed it within the last two weeks. Once again, Thanks E.D. for your continual improvement efforts! This one has REALLY made a big difference (for me). John
  8. After installing this update it works!! Thank you. I really like this program so much that I just sent you a donation. Question, is there a way I can import A-10C checklists into the Aircraft Type dropdown so I can include them in the mission package?
  9. I didn't know that but I just checked on JoyStick Tester and it's doing something kinda funny: 16 in, 17 Right - forward, 18 down , and 20 up are fine but when I go Left (aft) for 19 I get clicking of 16 and then 19 in succession. Back and forth like it's shorting on 16 (or 19). Any ideas?
  10. .Net doesn't come up in the App/Remove apps like it should. I checked the registry and some of the keys are there but not all. I can't delete the keys to rerun .Net installer and the .Net installer refuses to install because it says it's already installed. I give up. Thanks anyway.
  11. It's what I see in the Configurator. The red light flickers on 19 and then back to 17 like there is a short in the switch.
  12. Hello, For some reason the program isn't working correctly. When I double click on it the yellow patch with the name appears for a second and then it goes to the Taskbar like it's minimized. I can click on it and it shows the icon on the taskbar like it's running but it will not run in the foreground (maximized). I've uninstalled and then reinstalled it but it keeps doing this. I just can't get it to run properly. Any ideas please?
  13. Only happens when I pull back on the 5 Way Thumb hat for switch 19 (per the configurator software) it either doesn't register 19 or 17 instead of 19. Have been going back and forth with Tech Support since December making videos for them and sending profiles, blah, blah now they want me to send it to Lithuania for service - from the U.S. East Coast which will most likely takes years to get back. Anyone have any experience with this? Is there a possible workaround? Thank, John
  14. We're very excited to release it to the A-10 community. It promises to be a little different than you may be accustomed too.
  15. Thank you. We're excited to release it. It's going to be a little different than you may be accustomed too as far as A-10 campaigns. We think you'll like it.
  16. Combat King Simulations is excited to introduce a new story-driven, 16-mission campaign for the A-10C II: In a surprise move, Russia has, again, invaded Georgia and the United Nations is unable or unwilling to provide even the most basic military response to this attack. Only the United States initially commits a small but highly effective force of A-10C Warthogs to help defend its Black Sea ally. You are Major “Took” Key, a Flight Lead and Instructor Pilot assigned to the 74th Fighter Squadron, Moody Air Force Base, Ga, who will lead the military response against the invading Russians. Operation Agile Spear is a 16-mission, single player, story-driven campaign that will test you and your aircraft to the limit. Do you have what it takes to repel the invading Russian Army? Download Operation Agile Spear and find out.

  18. The Navy's got their Carrier deck equipment and personnel. How about showing the Air Force a little love. The following are Mission Essential at every Air Force base:
  19. I don't think it has to do with Gumball Roll. The "Wandering SPI" seems to be a slow, clockwise rotation of the SPI. I've only noticed this new TGP irritation within the last few months or so. The TGO "Hop" seems to be separate from Gumball Roll. I don't think they are connected. They seem to be mutually exclusive and have nothing to do with each other. The Hop occurs fairly regularly especially at distances with 3 miles where Gumball Roll seems to occur when flying on orbit with the TGP fixed, say, spying on the local talent sunbathing on the beach and you forget to unwind it or boresight it.
  20. No worries. I just get a little amped up when people refer to "In Real Life" when playing this or any game. Unfortunately, I think there are a number of people (DCS players) who are unable to make that distinction. No worries.
  21. As a side note, in my time as a Combat search and rescue medic working with Sandy crews; they were deathly afraid of them especially in the northern mountains if Afghanland where they were frequently forced to fly in deep valleys which made them horribly exposed to infrared manpads where they had NO warning except for their wingman and only if they were looking in the right direction. Manpads are no joke.
  22. Dude, You are dead wrong about Manpads. Actually, that is EXACTLY how they work and that is why they are so effective. Abdul is taking a nap under a tree or in his house having lunch with the kids or on patrol with his Dudes in the Takar Gar valley, hears that delicious high bypass engine winding up in the next valley over, runs to his truck, pulls out that SA-6 and waits for the unsuspecting A-10 jock to pass in range. That is EXACTLY how it works IRL. That's why they are called MAn Portable Air Dense weapons. Stop believing the movies or how it looks on TV or whatever. Just because you play this game doesn't make you an expert. Im not an expert on Manpads. The Intel guys are but I've been there and done that enough to know how it REALLY works. Rant ends.
